Everyone reaches Maheshwari Mansion. All steps in but not Ragini. She was thinking about what happened in the same house today's morning.

She inhales a deep breath before stepping inside the house, her soon to be ex husband's house. She chuckles bitterly at the thought. Everyone get's seated in the hall while holding their heads in tension. Sanskar was continuously calling people trying to make him release on bail but as it was a Sunday so there was no way to bring him out.

Ragini: I'll be in my... his room.

Others nods to her and she leaves for the room which used to be her's some hours ago. She enters inside the room and looks around as tears starts trickling down her cheeks. She was thinking about where life has brought her in some hours. She and her husband signed the divorce papers and they'll be divorced soon because she don't want to go against him not even when his decision is breaking her, killing her. She'll do whatever he wants but she will never trust his words in this matter. She immediately left the house after signing the divorce papers as he wished. Her love, her husband who's soon going to be her ex husband is in the jail for a reason which she has full confidence is not true. He's lying. Everything seems like a bad dream. She sit's on the bed and smiles in between her tears as she remembers her small intimate moment with her husband, a few days back when she landed on him because of the dark.

She then get's up and moves to the balcony and thinks about the incident when she came back from her maayka after some days and surprised him. How he pulled her to his lap and the happiness he had in his eyes at the time. It wasn't fake. His words which he spoke yesterday night were not fake.

Ragini: there's something which we're unable to see and you're not telling us. What could be that?

She closes her eyes and her mind goes back to the memory of yesterday night.

Flashback:

Ragini was driving back home as Laksh ordered her. She was not having a good feeling about how he behaved.

Ragini: I hope there's nothing to worry. God, please be with him.

She parks the car and get's inside the house. As soon as she enters inside, the men who were following her car leaves from there. Everyone was already asleep so she directly goes to her room and changes into her night saree. She sit's in the balcony, waiting for her husband to come back. She even called on his phone many times but he didn't answer. It has been more than three hours now but he didn't return. She was getting wrong thoughts in her mind. Just then she hears the sound of the opening of the main door of the house. She get's up from the couch and looks down to the main door. She takes a breath of relief as see saw the guard opening the door for Laksh who walked inside the house. She goes back into the room. She takes out clothes for him to change.

Laksh enters inside and looks at his wife whose eyes were dull as she was forcing herself to stay awake. His eyes which were all gloomy with happiness a few hours back were now holding some unknown sorrow and tension but Ragini didn't notice it because she was sleepy. Ragini moves towards him and removes his coat. She passes his clothes to him. Laksh takes the clothes without uttering a word and leaves for the washroom while Ragini waits for him to come out.

He comes out after sometime and lays down on his side of the bed. Ragini too get's on the bed and lays down besides him.

Ragini: what took you so long?

She asks lazily as the sleep was taking over her.

Laksh: Ragini...

He wraps his arm around her. He was not looking at her but at the ceiling.

Ragini: hmm...

She keeps her head on his chest.

Laksh: I'm sorry if I ever hurted you or hurt you in future.

He says without thinking but regrets saying it because he knew she's going to bang him with unlimited questions about why he said that. He looks at her when she didn't respond for some seconds and finds her sleeping. He sighs feeling a little relieved that she didn't hear him and hides her completely in his arms.

Laksh (mumbles): I'm sorry for what I'm going to do with you but I don't want you to suffer because of me. You don't deserve it. It's better for you to go away from me and my life. I'm sorry my fairy. This devil is going to give you one more and unbearable pain.

He pecks on her lips as a tear escapes from his eye.

Laksh (mumbles): good night bachcha. It's probably our last night together.

Ragini shifts in her sleep and hides her face in the crook of his neck. Laksh closes his eyes, keeping her near him and living the moment. Sleep was no where near him. He just wanted to enjoy every moment he has left with her, his wife.

That night, Laksh didn't sleep while Ragini had a peaceful sleep unaware of the storm which was going to hit her life next day.

The night passed with Laksh staring her all the hours. He kisses her forehead and get's up from the bed. He baths and come out only to find her awake. Ragini looks at him and smiles. Laksh was standing near the bed. She get's on her knees and comes in front of him. She encircles her hands around his neck.

Ragini: good morning love.

Laksh: morning...

Ragini: yesterday night what all you did seems like a beautiful dream. I'm feeling so blessed to have you.

She says hugging him. Laksh smiles painfully. He didn't respond to the hug. Ragini breaks the hug and looks at him.

Ragini: everything's fine?

Laksh just nods his head and sit's on the bed. Ragini hugs him from the back. He closes his eyes. She places a kiss in his neck. He makes a fist of his hand.

Ragini: Laksh, I wanted to talk about something to you. I know there are 100% chances of you to get mad on me but I want to talk.

Laksh: hmm... Say...

Ragini: Laksh, I was...

A knock on the door interrupts their conversation. They turns to look at the door. It was closed.

Naina: jiju, there's a post for you.

Laksh gulps. He removes Ragini's hands and get's up.

Laksh: tell him to wait for a few minutes. I'm coming.

Naina: ok...

She leaves from there. Laksh then looks at Ragini.

Laksh: you freshen up and come down. Fast...

Ragini nods and Laksh leaves the room. After taking a bath, Ragini sit's in front of the dressing table, combing her hair. She was smiling like an idiot. She fills her hairline with the vermilion and runs out of the room.

She finds everyone sitting in the hall. All were having their morning tea besides Laksh. He was sitting there with his head bowed down. She moves towards him and pats on his shoulder. Laksh looks up at her.

Ragini: I'll be back with your coffee.

She starts leaving but stops when she feels a hold on her wrist. She turns only to find Laksh holding her hand.

Ragini: you want anything else too?

Laksh get's up and brings the papers he was holding in front of her. Ragini looks at him confused. His hands were shaking but no one noticed. His eyes were showing pain and helplessness.

Laksh: sign them.

Ragini: what are these for?

She takes the papers from him and tears the envelope. All of the others were also looking at them now. Ragini unfolds the papers and her heart stops beating as she reads them. Her world crashed into pieces. Tears starts flowing from her eyes as she lifts her eyes to look at Laksh.

Laksh was having a tough time in controlling his emotions seeing her crying. His hands were curled into fists but again, no one noticed because everyone's focus was on Ragini. They were looking at her concerned.

Ryan: bhabhi, what happened? Why are you crying?

She didn't utter anything but kept standing there like a statue. Arjun moves towards her and snatches the papers from her and scans them. His eyes widens as he read them. He then glares at Laksh.

Misha: what's there in the papers?

Arjun: are you joking with us early in the morning bhai? Let me tell you it's not a good joke.

Sanskar: will anyone tell us what's there in these stupid papers?

Ragini: div... divorce papers...

Everyone looks at her shocked. They were not believing what they heard. They then looks at Laksh who was standing there unaffected.

Everyone: bhai/jiju/bhayu...

Ragini moves towards him holds on his T-shirt. Laksh was not looking at her. He didn't want her to read his eyes which were saying everything opposite.

Ragini: Laksh... You're joking with me, right?

Laksh: sign the papers Ragini.

Ragini: why? What I did that you're doing this to me?

She asks with pain in her voice.

Swara: jiju, what's wrong? What happened to you all of the sudden?

Laksh: I tried Ragini. I tried my best to make this marriage successful but I don't think it can work.

Ragini: shut up Laksh. Your reason is stupid and baseless. You don't need to tell me that it's not going to work between us because I know we're going to work for each other only. And don't you dare to lie that you can't see that. From where this came all of a sudden? That too when we've progressed so much in our relationship. Everything you did and said yesterday was not a lie. I know. Then what happened over the night?

Laksh: I said na, I tried but I'm not made for marriage and family. I was happy with my life before the marriage but circumstances made me marry you. Just sign the papers. Then both of us will be free.

Ragini pushes him away angrily.

Ragini: shut up!! Just shut up!! I don't want to get free from you. Did you hear me? Stop all this drama right now. You're getting on my nerves now. I'm not going to do anything like this, understand Mr Laksh Maheshwari!! Just end all this nonsense now.

She shouts at him and start's leaving but stops listening to Laksh's voice.

Laksh: if you have ever loved me then you'll not ask any questions. Just sign on the papers.

He hitted on her weakness, her love for him. Ragini stops and turns to him. She was looking at him painfully. Her sisters stands besides her to support her.

Ryan: bhayu, why are you doing this? Please don't do this. If there's any problem then tell us. We'll solve it together but please...

Laksh: there's no other problem. I just want to get free from this.

Ragini was not satisfied with what all he was saying. The thought of going away from him was stabbing her heart and was killing her slowly. She was scared. Scared about how she'll live without him.

Arjun: you're not doing right. You'll regret for your decision.

Sanskar: for the first time I'm saying this, your decision isn't right.

Ryan: I always supported you but not this time.

Ragini: is this what will make you happy?

She asks wiping her tears. Laksh nods unwillingly. Ragini takes a step towards Arjun and takes the papers from him.

Ragini: I'll do whatever you want me to do. I'll sign these papers if this makes you happy. If this is what you want, my love.

Arjun: no, bhabhi please don't do this.

Ryan snatches the papers from her and tears them into pieces. Everyone looks at him with proud. Laksh picks up another envelope from the couch and passes it to her. Everyone looks at him shocked. Ragini takes them from him.

Naina: di...

Ragini: let me do it Nainu. He wants me to prove my love for him. He don't have any idea what all I can do for him.

She looks at Laksh who was already looking at her with thousands of emotions in his sad eyes, love, sorrow, helplessness, anger, pain...

Ragini keeps the papers on the table and starts looking for a pen. Laksh passes a pen to her. She chuckles bitterly and takes it from him. Tears didn't stop from her eyes when she found his signature on the papers already. She also signs them, keeping a rock on her heart. She was feeling like her life was ending. Her soul was leaving her body. Everyone was standing helplessly. She get's up and passes the papers to him.

Ragini: I'll be there whenever you'll need me. These few papers can't stop me from loving you.

Laksh didn't say anything but kept standing there with the papers in his hands.

Ragini: do I have the permission of taking my stuff from your room?

Laksh just nods his head. Ragini turns to leave but stops and turns to look at him again. She moves her hands into her neck and removes the mangalsutra.

Ragini: let me feel the emptiness in me.

She says as she keeps it in his hand and leaves for his room. Her sisters tries to go with her but she stops them. Everyone leaves for their rooms, shocked and sad with what all happened. His brothers gave him angry looks before leaving. Laksh keeps standing there unmoved. The tears he was holding back till now finally makes their way out of his eyes.

Laksh: let me feel the emptiness in me as well.

Ragini was packing her bags while the tears were unstoppable from her eyes. Her vision was blurry because of the tears. She was looking at the room for the last time. She keeps the bag on the floor and turns but bumps into him. She looks up to his eyes but didn't utter anything. She start's leaving but stops feeling him holding her hand. She turns to look at him. He pulls her to himself. She dashes with his hard chest and he hides his face in her neck. Ragini was left shocked, surprised and confused with his action.
