Nandini got up with the loud noise which was going on in her house fron past 2-3 days. She didn't even realise when the days started fading so fast. Only 2 days were left for her to become Mrs. Nandini Malhotra.

She settled herself looking around, it always gave her jitters thinking of leaving her family behind and starting a new life. She was engrossed in her thoughts when Naksh came inside.

"Oh! Nandini. Chal uth, freshen up. Aaj puja hai ghar mein aur sham ko mehndi bhi. Jaldi uth." She stared at him and automatically tears formed in her eyes making him worried.

"Hey! Baby....what happened?" He asked sitting infront of her cupping her face in his hands.

"Bhai...sirf ladkiyon ko hi kyun jana hota hai ghar chod ke? I don't want to get married if this like this...nahi karni mujhe shadi." She cried in his arms. She was only open to him and no one else in the family.

Naksh sighed and rubbed her back.

"Shh! I don't know what to say Nandini. Purani riti rivaj hai. Main kya kahun? Even I don't want you to go...but you know Manik is there waiting for you eagerly. If you are still not ready we can surely postpone this marriage." He made her look at her and said this. She sighed and shook her head.

"Kisi na kisi din toh honi hi hai shadi. Bas yeh khauf hai ki sab mujhse door hote jaa rahe hai. I don't want to lose you bhai."

"Baby, you won't lose me. You want me to talk to Manik? I'll speak to him." He took out his phone to call but Nandini held his hand.

"It's okay bhai. Just got emotional. I'll get fresh aap jao." Nodding his head he moved out of the room thinking how to enlighten her mood. Here Nandini bit her lips trying hard to gether herself under the running shower.

Naksh reached down and saw his mother busy in preparing for puja, his dadi was nowhere to be seen. His father was busy in attending the guest who came from far just to attend the wedding.

Navya was preparing mehendi with other ladies for the function. He moved towards her and called her out.

"Navu...jara idhar aa." She bobbed her head and got to go towards him. He put his hand on her shoulder and whispered something.

"Theek hai. Lekin aap kar paoge na?" He bobbed his head and went out. Navya went to help Nandini to wear the saree.

Malhotra House

Manik came down aftee having bath as he knew his mother will eat him if doesn't come down to have his breakfast as she has already quoted saying she is busy and won't help him with anything.

He settled himself looked at his house which was filled with so many people. He was obviously not fond of crowd but shooing it away he had his breakfast.

"Bhai! Mama ji puch rahe hai aap aaj kya pehne wale ho?" Manik frowned listening his question.

"Cabir....main jo pehnu usse mama ji ko kya hai?"

"Tch! Arey! Unhone jo kurta laya hai aaj ke liye woh match hona chahiye theme se actually aapke outfit se so he is asking." He made a 'oh' face and thought of some mischief.

"Bol de...red pehne wala hun." Cabir who knew what he was wearing frowned listening him.

"But bhai aap toh blue pehne wale ho na?"

"Tch! Unko har kisi se takkar leni hai. Aur main dulha hun woh nahi. Ja jo bola maine vahi bata aur koi hoshiyari nahi."

"Yes boss!" Laughing at him Manik got up to go when some of his cousins came and pulled him towards the hall.

"Bhaiya bhaiya! Bhabhi ki photo dikhao...humne abhi tak nahi dekhi." He gave them glare and said

"Kal se mere paas mera phone nahi hai. Aur bhabhi ki photo toh tum dekh li hai. Kitni baar dekhoge?"

"Tch! Hum dekhne wale the ki tabhi mumma na phone cheen liya aur pata nahi aapka phone kahan par hai." They said making his eyes go wide.

"What the hell! Mera phone ghuma diya tum sabne. Jao pehle mera phone dhondo phir aana mere paas." Saying this he left from there making the girls pout.

Murthy House

Nandini and Navya came down. Nandini was looking absolutely beautiful in that saree not to forget the tiny blush on her face was making her glow more.

They made Nandini sit on the spot and the pandit ji did start the puja. After done with it Nandini was told to keep wearing the saree till evening for mehendi she can change it.

She felt cursing the person who made the saree. Sighing she settled herself on the sofa and got busy with thw children.

"Dii...bhai kahan hai?" She asked to which Navya fumbled while speaking

"Woh..woh..bhai...haan bhai na bahar gaye kuch kaam se. Aa jayenge." Bobbing her head she concentrated on the children.

Dadi was watching all this standing on the second floor. She couldn't digest the fact that Nandini was happy and almost everyone were against her. She wasn't allowed in any functions after what happened 5 days before.

It was almost 5:30 pm and soon they had to start with mehendi ceremony and also Malhotra's were going to come anytime soon. Nandini was in her room getting ready with all her cousins.

She was setting her hair when there was knock on the door. One of the cousin opened the door only to see Naksh still in morning clothes.

"Bhai... aapne change nahi kiya?" She asked to which he replied

"Karunga abhi. Usse pehle I want to gove you something." She frowned and bobbed her head telling him to continue. He brought his hands forward and it was a box wrapped in gift paper. She opened it and saw floral jewellery.

"Bhai...yeh...aapne banaya hai?" She asked softly to which he smiled nodded his head.

"Bahut khubsoorat hai." She said and he smiled.

"Laa main pehnata hun." Saying this he removed the jewellery that she was wearing. And carefully made her wear it. This whole thing was captured in a camera by Navya who was smiling seeing her brother and sister.

"Thank you." She thanked him. He hugged her and moved back.

"Acha...jaldi jaldi yeh sab karo main ready hoke aata hun." Saying this he ran to his room making her smile with small tears in her eyes. They did her last touch up and took her down.

Malhotra family had already arrived and seeing her coming down all were feeling as if some angel had come down from heaven. Manik was out of the world. Many of them teased them alot.

Nandini was made to sit beside Manik on a special seat. Soon Naksh came. He greeted everyone and finally came to Manik. He hugged him.

Soon the function started with mauj and masti. Out of nowhere songs started playing grabbing their attention.

It was Anjalk who was singing mehndi hai rachne wali. Along with her other members were dancing. For a moment Nandini had forgotten whatever gile shikve the had.

Anjali came towards her pecked her head and so of Manik. They smiled and looked at each other.

"Do you want something?" Manik asked softly to which she said pani. He went and got water for, her one hand was empty so she had it with that hand.

Next came Neonika along with Malhotra family to dance on Genda phool.

Everyone laughed really hard sewing how they performaned. In between even Manik danced with them.

Nandini's one hand was done and other one started. Everything was going smoothly. Out of nowhere dadi came and got mingled with others. Her family members didn't acknowledge her that much.

Again music started and this time it was bride side and groom side together.

They all performed on this making the environment funny and warm too. By now everyone decides to have food as it was getting late also. Since Manik's mehendi got dried he decided to feed her. But when he saw Naksh already doing so he stepped back with a smile.

His heart didn't agree to disturb them. He had his food silently ofcourse how will the cousins leave them without teasing. Out of nowhere mama ji came towards Manik and said

"Kya Manik...mujhe bola red pehene wale ho aur blue pehen ke aa gaye."

"Ji aisa kuch nahi hai. Woh red wala gila ho gaya tha toh end moment pe change karna pada ab aap hi batao ga pehen ke aa jata kya main?" Manik asked innocently Cabir who was beisde him scoffed and looked away when he felt burning glare on him.

"Arey! Koi na. Chodo." They continued eating. By 9:30 Nandini's mehendi was done. She was tired from sitting so long.

Manik looked around and called Nandini. She looked at him, he bent to her height and whispered.

"Though I couldn't say it earlier will say it now. Aaj bahut khubsurat lag rahi ho." She blushed and looked down.

"Thank you. Tum bhi theek thak hi lag rahe ho.", He scoffed and moved bidding her bye. They all left leaving the Murthys. Nandini's mehendi will take time to dry so they all thought to have tea out of nowhere sitting in the garden.
