Think of it like the beginning series where younger fighter starts to learn the basics and get the experience they need, age 1-7. And the Middle-Class is when they have the experience and they get the feel of stronger fighters age 8-17 (sometimes fighters in the top class got to the lower series to fight them).

Raised and born in The Amber Kingdom, Pikachu is a person to watch in the fighting world. Although they don't know he is the prince that has suddenly disappeared years ago. He started fighting when he was a one-year-old as a Pichu. He became the champion of the Beginner Series when he turned two. But one day Raichu, his father and king of Amber, started to turn into a different person and started to try to end his career. He wanted Pikachu to train to be the king but Pikachu, then Pichu, wanted to be a fighter instead. Raichu tried to disable him by breaking his legs, but he failed and was caught by Jolteon, Pikachu's mom. When he turned eight, he evolved into a Pikachu and his performance increased by a lot, which also got him the middle-class championship. But at age fifteen it all came apart, his dad went to the extreme to get rid of him. Pikachu left when Jolteon was held at gunpoint by Raichu, Pikachu tried to get his mother to divorce Raichu and turn him in, but that was easier said than done. Raichu had to agree to the divorce, which he didn't, and he made enough money he was able to pay off the jury to say he was innocent. Pikachu tried to keep his cool but it all came down when he turned 17, he found out that Jolteon was pregnant by force when Raichu forced her to have sex when he was drunk. Months later Pichu was born but Raichu didn't appear for the birth, instead, Pikachu was there. Now eighteen, he is going to face the biggest challenge of his life, facing off against Raichu and prove his skills as a fighter. While also developing a close relationship with Eevee, who he met about a week ago after she ran away from her family in the East.
