Hermione keeps her heavy eyes close. Her sense of hearing are still on, she's not sleeping. She has been sleeping over a night; however, she still feels tired. Whatever serum she'd been injected with must be strong.

But she's awake. Although she's tired, but she's awake now and she can't find any reasons to put herself back to sleep because of what's playing in her mind: Party, One Direction, the Avengers, intruders. What fears her the most is not the intruders and whoever made the intruders to attack them yesterday, but One Direction. The band concerns her the most.

Her eyelids flutter as she forces to shut them to get another sleep while waiting for someone to visit her so that she could ask him/her to bring her out. While shutting her eyes she sees what she saw in the dream she'd gotten.

She's on top of a roof, again, on her belly with her rifle. Her eyes watching a man facing back and forth behind the curtains; then someone yelling through her ears that sounded like Aaron but not; and lastly the Avengers herding her and trying to kill her. They were all playing over and over again. They only stopped when Hermione opens her eyes when her ward's door shut.

"Helen?" Tony calls in concern. His face tightens as he watches Hermione scared and panting that she couldn't say what she wanted to say in her mind.

Tony nears his daughter while watching worriedly. "Helen? Honey?"

"I'm...'kay," that's all Hermione can pronounce.

The father frowns deeper. "You don't look like you're okay. You want me to call the doctor?" Even though with his wife, Tony has always been the most clumsy parent when it comes to his one and only daughter. His late wife, Harriette, was the calm one. Yes, it was totally opposite from most couples but it's true. When Hermione gets sick, he's sick, too.

Hermione let out a cough to clear her throat before she opens her mouth to speak. "No, no. I'm fine. Really."

"No, let me call-"

"Dad! I said I'm fine!" Hermione raises her voice.

Taken aback, Tony becomes speechless for a seconds as he keeps his eyes on Hermione, who is grabbing a glass of water on the bedside table. She drinks it until the glass turns empty and then puts the glass back on its previous place. Tony takes a deep breath and lets out a sigh of relief when Hermione sinks back into her bed. She looks calm.

"Dream again?" Tony guesses after a few thoughts, taking a seat beside the bed.

Looking away as if ashamed that she got a nightmare again in the morning, Hermione nods her head. "The same thing," she says.

Tony only nods his head, doesn't know what to say as he too gets nightmare after missions the he was signed up to.

"Anyway, sorry for your hair," Tony apologises on the behalf of S.H.I.E.L.D doctor. "They needed to take out the glass in your scalp so they cut your hair off."

Hermione runs her fingers through her short hair and smiles to herself. "That's all right," she says calmly. "I've been thinking to cut it short lately. Plus, it feels a lot lighter with short hair." She wiggles her head like a bubble-head doll.

Tony laughs with her. "Glad you like it."

There was a pause. After a few seconds, Tony opens his mouth again.

"You think you know who attacked us yesterday?"

"I think I do," the daughter replies.

Interested, as if he hasn't called to the meeting, Tony leans in. As he waits for his daughter's theory about the attacker, he looks at Hermione with shiny eyes. "Who?"

"Lukas," Hermione answers, just like what Tony expected.

"How do you know it was him?"

Hermione looks at her father suspiciously. "Did they call you for a meeting?"

Tony gives Hermione a funny look. "Yes. Why?"

"If they did, you must have known the answer," Hermione answers. It wasn't a sarcastic answer. Her voice didn't project sarcastically. It's just a simple word, a plain one, that Hermione uses to make Tony tells her what he knows. It's a trick she learns in the Wit-Ass Programme.

Tony lets out a breathy laugh, realising that his daughter just outsmarts him. "Fury told us Lukas didn't accept his offer and left soon after that."

Hermione nods. "He's planning on a revenge," she tells her father lowly.

"A revenge? On whom? You didn't do anything to him, did you?" Tony, even though he wished he knew what's the relationship between Lukas and his daughter, Hermione, but, at this moment, there's something much more important than to ask the girl about their pasts.

The dark-chocolate-eyed girl looks reluctant to reveal anything. She looks everywhere in the room, avoiding her father's eyes both in guilty and anger. Guilty because Lukas, her best friend, wants to kill Tony. Anger because she still cannot except the fact that Tony killed Aaron. Although she refused to talk about it.

"What is it, Helen?" Tony's voice was stern. It is a voice where he'd use when he'd catch Hermione do something wrong when she was little.

Sighing, Hermione says, "On Aaron."

Stumbling back, Tony looks at Hermione in confusion. That name. There's something in him clicks when he heard that name. "Who... is this guy?"

"Let's just say he is someone important to us."

Tony stays his gaze on Hermione, observing her. "There's so much more of him," her says as he narrows his eyes on her. "Come on, Helen! We need information as much as we could. If you're holding back, how can we fight him together? Steve and the rest of the Avengers are mad at him, too, honey. They want to kill him as much we do."

"I'm sorry, Dad, but I... didn't."

Tony gasps in shock. "What- what did you- what did you say?" Tony stutters. "How can you not want to kill him? He'd attacked us while we're having a party. Your party."

"Dad," Hermione lets out a heavy sigh before continuing, "Lukas is... he's my best friend. No matter how bad he is, I didn't dare to kill him. He's-"

"Was," Tony corrected his daughter. "He had ruined what we were having and kidnapped One Direction, Helen. I'm having a press for this issue next week. What should I tell them about One Direction disappear-"

"The one he wanted to kill is you," Hermione quickly tells his father before he could finish what he said, couldn't hold back the biggest secret any longer.

Tony recoils in surprise as he looks at Hermione with big eyes. Blood drains on his face though his heart is beating fast in his chest. "What the...?"

"That's the truth," Hermione confirms with such tense. "You killed Aaron. Now Lukas wants to kill to you. Wait, no, specificially, he wants to make you suffer. That's why he's doing this."

There are a lot of questions playing in Tony's mind but he ends up asking, "Who is Aaron again?"

The question that Hermione hated to hear, especially from someone who'd killed him. She's not angry at Tony for killing him anymore but that's the only thing she couldn't forgive Tony about. Besides breaking the promise, although what Tony did united them back. Because she thought there were many ways to get her back yet her father decided to break their promises and that's not something Hermione could easily forgive.

"The one you killed. Remember? When you came and took me the second time?" Hermione reminds Tony back it. "You threw him out of the window. When I got to him he was already dead with blood running out of his nose and ears. When I looked up to see who threw him, you were there, looking down at us."

"Does he mean anything to you?" Tony asks the question he's been wanting to ask. He remembers correctly, Hermione is acting the way she acted again.

"Dad!" Hermione suddenly becomes furious. "If you want to know why I went crazy, it was because you killed Aaron. Aaron! He was our hope at the Villa. Nobody would let you go if they catch you killing Aaron. Lucky it was me, Dad. And since I'm back with you, that doesn't mean I forgive you thoroughly. There were lot more than that." Hermione can't help but to be blunt.

"Sorry," Tony says, realising his mistakes. "I just want to know."

"'Sorry,'" Hermione snorts. "Whatever. I don't want to talk about it all but seems like there's no other option." Hermione shrugs.

After a second when Tony keeps quiet, Hermione speaks about Lukas. She knows how important the information about someone they're after in order to plan a counter-attack. Even though she doesn't want Lukas to be killed, but she knows she has to help the Avengers, at least, catching him.

And One Direction. Both are at her concern right now, but she concerns more about the people's life who's at stake, knowing Lukas won't kill them because he knows she adores them so much. It's Tony right now. It's her father.

"I confronted him to forget what happened and join me here because, to be honest, being an agent doesn't have much different with being an assassin. We still have missions and kill people." Hermione's tone of voice turns low with the last sentence. "But he didn't want to." She looks down to her fingers as she speaks, while her father listens to her tentatively, not opening his mouth to furiates Hermione more.

"Like I said he's my best friend. I want him to be with me all the time. But then everything changed. Aaron means so much to us, but Lukas knows he means more to me so when Aaron died, he wants to kill the murderer for me."

"And the murderer is his best friend's father," Tony mutters. "Great."

"I told him I'd kill him myself. Because-"

"You want to kill your father yourself?" Tony asks Hermione in shock. He's not listenting to this for the first time, yet it hurts him more hearing it now.

"Dad, listen to me first!" Hermione has raise her voice again. "I told him that because I don't want to lose anymore people I care about. Remember. You left; Mom died; Arnold died; then Aaron died! I couldn't bear with anymore deaths. But when I told him that it was my father who killed Aaron, I could see it in his eyes that he... he started to hate me because I'm backing you not Aaron.

"God, Dad! There were a lot you don't know. Everything is related, I don't know how to tell you. It's... it's messed up, but right now he's trying to make you suffer. He said to me if I catch the murderer, I have to bring the murderer to him, because he wants to torture the murderer, to let him feel how we feel when everything goes bad and when you have no hope. So with your life at risk right now, Dad, I'm begging you not react on him. Leave this to me."

Tony shakes his head, couldn't believe what Hermione said. Leave this to her? How can he allow it? He didn't fight for her but he's fighting for her now no matter at what costs. He promised himself.

"What is your theory now, Helen? I want to know it," Tony couldn't waste any more time sitting there and listen to Hermione's past with Lukas. Although a bit of it, like Hermione said, related to what is happening.

Sternly, Hermione looks at her father. "I love One Direction," Hermione begins, leaving about her favourite boy. "Lukas took them from me to make you suffer seeing me suffer. He's smart, Dad. He has plans behind his plans. That's the reason why he became Aaron's second in command in only 6 missions when it usually takes more than 10 missions to be in his place."

"Okay." Tony nods once curtly.

"But please, Dad. I'm serious. Leave this to me."

"Do you think it's him who did that?" Tony suddenly has a second thought, ignoring what Helen told him.

Hermione looks at her father in annoyance. "You think it could be someone else?"

"I don't know," Tony answer after a few seconds. "It might be your best friend, but it might be not. I mean, I'm pretty sure everyone of us has enemies, right?"

Hermione chews her inner cheek as she thinks. "For all I know right now, he's the only on who caused this. There might be other party but if there's not, I'd say, our job is easy."

Tony chuckles sarcastically with the word easy. "Easy, my darling? You said yourself Lukas is smart. That he has plans behind his plans. I thought it's taking us plans with plans to attack him back."

"That's what I said." Hermione smirks. "If he's doing this alone, it's easy to take him down. We may know what's his next step since there were more than super intelligence people here to defeat him and, to be compared with me, he's a little bit careless. But if there are more, that he's making allies with them..."

"You're probably right."

"What? I am right," Hermione emphasises, bloating herself.

"No." Tony shakes his head. "With me, you're 'probably,'" he states.

Hermione cannot help but to roll her eyes and laugh. "Cheater."
