"Hello, everyone," Tony Stark greets his audience that include journalists and photographers, reporters from news companies, some members how happen to he there just wanted to listen what Tony wants to talk about during the press conference. Blinded by the flashes, Tony pulls out his aviators and puts it on his nose.

"I'm Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man. I'm here, as you may know, to clear out the rumours about One Direction," he says, in people's ears, with such ease. Behind the scene, Tony has been practicing to say that sentence thousands of times to make it sound naturally. "I'm allowed to only answer a few questions in 10 minutes so if we don't want to waste any more time, let's begin now."

Luckily for Hermione, she doesn't need to hide herself by wearing a cap or sunglasses. She doesn't need to wear a jacket and pull up the collar not wanting anyone to recognise who she is. Luck is on her side because nobody knows her when she goes out with Steve to the bookstore by only wearing a t-shirt and short jeans. She wears an aviator only because the sun is shining so brightly above her head, that's all.

Steve, on the other hand, figures that he has to pull down his cap lower, if possible, to hide the whole of his face. At times -- or to be honestly, most of the time -- Steve has to watch his step while walking with Stark's daughter to the wherever she goes to avoid being lost. After years being in the Avengers and saving people in many wars, the media has its way to make him a celebrity.

The captain hates it that it has to be this way. He likes it more when he can roam around the city freely while watching the building, the people and the sky. He can complain all he wants but what happened happens. At least, Hermione knows how it feels like and makes an effort to take Steve's attention from being uncomfortable while walking.

"You sure you don't want to grab a taxi?"

Steve's heart feels warm listening how concern Hermione sounded like. "Seriously, I'm fine, Helen," he reassures the girl. "Some day, I know I have to go through this."

Nodding in agreement, Hermione says, "Yeah. Hey, anyway, do you listen to music?" Hermione cheers up.

"I- what are you doing?" Steve had to cut himself when he sees what Hermione is doing. He watches her in curiosity as she pins in an extension that has two output butts into her iPod. She then connects two white earphones into those output butt holes.

Hermione hands Steve a pair of earphone. "Here."

Confused and shocked, Steve stops on his track as he looks down at the thing in Hermione's hand in confusion. "What's that?"

Hermione laughs at Steve's expression. "Aw, come on! Don't tell me your never seen this before."

"I- yeah, I've seen before. Nat uses all the time in the gym -- and Banner, too," Steve opens up.

"Good." Hermione smiles proudly. "Now put this into your ears. We'll listen to songs while we walk."

"No talking?"

"Talk in song," Hermione states.

"What does that even mean?" Steve continues looking at Hermione blankly. It's hard to understand what Hermione is trying to make him do.

"Just put these into your ears, brother," Hermione is loosing out her temper.

Steve sighs. "Fine," Steve says after staring into Hermione's eyes a few seconds.

Hermione starts to play a song on her iPod randomly. As what she wished to hear, Justin Bieber's Love Youself plays.

Steve frowns at Hermione and asks, "What is this song?"

"Love Yourself," she answers. "Justin Bieber. You like it?" Hermione smiles and waits for the captain's answer with a big expectation.

Steve smiles along. He nods his head and answers, "Yeah, I do like it. It's nice."

The girl chuckles softly. "I figure you would," she says. "You want to listen to other songs?"

"No, no!" Steve waves his hand. "I want to listen to this song."

Hermione smiles happily.

Ever since Arnold showed her the Avengers pictures, Hermione has always wanted to meet Steve Rogers personally because she thought he was the type of man who is always serious, takes things seriously and cannot be funny around people. When she's the type of girl who loves to make fun of everything, she wants to make him crack a smile and laugh. So since then, she sets a goal.

Her first goal is actually to make the captain be mad at her because she wants to know his weakness. Hermione thinks it would be easier for her if she finds anything that would trigger Steve's temper so whenever she's losing a battle between them two, she'd use it as a bait. She knows damn well that when a person who is 'lethal' because of his outrageous, it's easier to defeat. She cannot say she's found his, neither she could admit that she fails to find it because, by this moment, she can't say she wants to make Steve angry seeing how nice he is towards her.

Her second goal is to talk to him. She's interested in history. She never liked to read history, only fictions, but she likes to learn about history, what happened during war and how they survived. This, her personal mission, is succeed. Even though the night during the party they talked about Hermione, but in between their conversation, Hermione did get something she wanted.

Lastly, now that the captain is her friend, she's eager to know what type of music does Steve listen to because Steve never sings or has any personal playlist. Hermione knows she would receive songs in the mid 40s or 50s if she seriously wants Steve to recall and play them, but she can't listen to them, frankly. Those 50s songs are too slow for her and she doesn't like their genre.

So her goal, is this time, to experiment if Captain America likes the 21st century songs. That's why she asked if Steve listens to music just now. And offers her playlist herself to make the captain listen to the latest hits. Seeing how Steve is into Love Yourself, that he makes her replay the song and over again until they reach the bookstore, is enough to tell herself that her mission is accomplished. She did it perfectly.

"Hey," Steve calls the girl in as they stand at the foyer of the bookstore. Hermione has lowered down the volume so I Know What You Did Last Summer is playing softly in the background. "Can we listen to songs while looking at the books?"

It takes Hermione three seconds to realise what Steve is trying to tell her. "This is not a library, Steve." Hermione turns up the volume higher again, just loud enough for their ears to bear.

Not knowing where to go -- plus, limited with the earphone -- Steve follows Hermione to where fiction books are located. Steve's eyes take in the new environment that he has yet to adapt.

Being busy with missions, Steve hardly has time to visit one of these kind of shops. He never even think to enter a bookstore before. Usually, when he has free times, he would just having a walk privately, sit down in any cheap coffee shop he bumps into, sketch or just sit there, enjoying himself but not once he ever think to go to the bookstore.

Maybe because I don't read much, he thought. Oh, might as well true.

"What are these books?" Steve eyes tons of books with weird book covers on the shelves in front of him. Hermione beside him turns upon listening to the question, despite those earbuds.

"These are called Fantasy?" Hermione answers, referring to the genre of the books.

"Fantasy?" Steve frowns.

"Yes, Fantasy." Hermione gets close to Steve after putting down a book she grabbed back onto its shelf. "You know like mermaids, witch, magic, dragons and stuff. Like this one." Hermione grabs a new book and shows the front cover under Steve's eyes.

Steve reads the title. "Lord of the... Ring?" He looks back up and meet Hermione's warm dark-chocolate eyes.

"Yeah, it's about..." Hermione bites her lower lip, struggling to let the words out as she read the summary at the back of the book.

Steve cranes his neck and peers under Hermione's face. "It's about what?"

There was a long pause until Hermione speaks again. "I don't know." Hermione looks as if she's snapped back to reality and put back the book onto its shelf. "I never read that book before but I know Lord of the Ring has a lot of books so-" she cuts herself when she hears a soft chuckle. "What?"

"Nothing." Steve says after laughing, leaving a smirk at the end of his lips.

"You're not making fun of me, do you?" Hermione asks suspiciously.

Steve shakes his head. "No, no, don't worry," he convinces the girl. "I don't know. Lately I found myself easily laughing when I'm hanging out with you."

Hermione doesn't know if she should feel proud about that or not. "Uh, what, should I say good?"

Steve barks out a laugh again listening to Hermione's answer, can't help himself. "Yeah, you're good."

Slowly, Hermione's lips turn into a smile but an awkward one.

Later that moment, Hermione's basket consists of six books from Fantasy and Sci-fi books, in which Steve finds it absurd. While continuing following Stark's daughter around to go to another section, he wonders if the girl could finish reading them. See, Hermione is an agent now. After her last one, she's not assign to any mission yet, but with what happened, Steve knows Fury is planning to assign Hermione into finding Lukas and with that, Hermione's time will be packed. That wonders Steve more.

The research alone takes a few days to detect their intruder and send a team to give them warnings. And then it takes another few days to find out what they meant by, "One against One," and "March 22nd." Hermione knows the meaning without the help of others to unravel the meaning yet she decides to stay quiet. When Tony found out, it didn't just make him angry but everyone! But Hermione insists she's doing this alone even though Fury hasn't assigned her yet.

However, Steve knows, neither Tony nor anyone in the Avengers will let her fight Lukas alone.

It's not later when Steve notices that they're at classic books section. He's too focus on distracting himself by listening to It's Time by Imagine Dragons to not think about Hermione's safety.

"Oh, Alice in Wonderland." Steve reaches the book in front of his eyes.

Hermione laughs at Steve's voice. "You read that book?"

"Used to," Steve answers shortly.

"You want to reread that book?" Hermione asks as she scans other classic books.

When Hermione crouches down, he's force to do the same if he doesn't want to miss the song that is playing. "You reread books?" He looks at Hermione as if she's joking.

In disbelief, Hermione shakes her head. "God, why are you asking me the same question Dad asked me?" She tilts her head and looks at Steve through strands of her hair that falls on her cheek.

Not getting an answer from Steve, Hermione continues. "Anyway, to answer your question, yes. I reread books. Particularly, Harry Potter, so if you want to try reading that book, just inform me. And, by the way, if you want to reread Alice in Wonderland, just grab it. I'll buy for you."

"What are you talking about?" Steve finds it, actually, funny when Hermione offers to buy the book for him. "You don't need to buy anything for me. I can-"

"Nah. It's just books. I don't-"

A strange tone suddenly erupts from Hermione's phone when neither Steve nor Hermione herself made any effort to change the song. But this is not a song. This is just an intrumental tone that indicates Hermione someone is calling her.

Confused, Hermione lifts up her phone. She looks at the caller that appears on the screen and then immediately, her face turns white when she looks at the caller ID.

It's no other than JARVIS, that after a week of living with in the Tower with him, she quickly becomes used with his presence.

Hermione glances at Steve who looks like he's urging her to pick up the call after noticing the name on the screen when he glanced at it.

"JARVIS."

"It's me," Tony's voice booms through her earphones, that Steve can also listen.

"Dad, what happened?" Hermione looks as panic as the emotion in her father's voice. She stands up, followed by Steve, ready to get going.

"Helen, they attacked us," Tony tells her -- or them including Steve without Tony's knowledge.

Hermione glances at Steve with a worried look that appears deep inside her chocolate eyes. "What, where are you? Are you okay? Is Rhodey okay?"

"We're fine," Tony quickly answers. From the rush in his voice, Hermione can guess that he's onto something. "They brought One Direction back and accused me kidnapping them. They manipulated these reporters stupid mind to believe them that I kidnapped them."

"What the fuck, Lukas..."

"And now they're attacking me."

"They? The reporters?"

"That's what I said," Tony answers, somehow in the midst of war found sarcasm. "Look, I'm getting home right now. I- wait, where are you right now?"

"I'm at a bookstore."

"Shit!" Tony mutters angrily, in which Steve knows better than to remark his language. "Who are you with?"

"I'm with Steve-"

"Get home. Now!"

"Dad, what is happening?"

"They're after you!" Tony warns his daughter. The tense in his voice makes Hermione speechless. "Remember today's date. They're coming after you, Helen!"
