"Frisk! Wait up!" I called to Frisk as we ran up Mt. Ebott.

"It's not my fault you're a slow runner!" she yelled back. (Yes, we both call Frisk a girl, so don't get mad.)

"Hey! Take that back!" I called to her.

We both stopped when we finally got to the top of the mountain. Up there was a very large hole, and we had no idea where it led to. We heard stories of people who climbed the mountain, and they never came back. Suddenly, Frisk started walking closer to the edge.

"Frisk, be careful!"

She promptly ignored me. "Ooh, Althea, I'm getting close to the edge, you better do something before I fall!" she taunted.

"Frisk, please! I don't want anything to happen to you!" I said through the sound of my heartbeat in my ears.

"Althea, relax. I'm not going to fall- Ah!" She started to slip off the edge!

"Frisk!" I yelled. I grabbed her hand, and started to fall down with her!

"AAAAAAHH!!" We screamed as we fell down the deep hole. I didn't dare to open my eyes after seeing how high we were up. After falling for what felt like forever, I opened my eyes one more time just in time to see a patch of golden flowers, and, BAM! We both face-planted into the flowers.

I got up, lifting Frisk up with me due to use somehow still holding hands.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked her.

"Yeah. Luckily these flowers were here, or else we could've gotten hurt or worse." she replied. " Where are we?" She asked.

" I don't know." I replied. We looked around the dark area, with nothing but us and the flowers.

"Let's see if we can find a way out of here." Frisk suggested, and walked the other way for an exit. So I followed her.

As I walked behind Frisk, she suddenly stopped. I peeked over her and saw what she stopped for. In front of us was a tiny flower, similar to the flowers we fell on.

"Howdy! I'm Flowey. Flowey the Flower!" It chirped in a high-pitched voice. I nearly fell over because of Frisk's sudden jump back.

"He-Hello." Frisk nervously greeted as she waved. I back to the tiny flower as well."

"Hmm... You're new to the Underground, aren'tcha?" Flowey asked. We both nodded.

"Golly, you must be so confused." That was true. After all, flowers don't usually talk back on the surface.

"Someone ought to teach you how things work around here! I guess little old me will have to do. Ready? Here we go!" Suddenly a glow came from Frisk. I looked at her and saw a red, glowing heart on her chest. Then Flowey's Lesson began.

"See that heart? That is your Soul, the very culmination of your being!" He explained "Your SOUL starts off weak, but can grow strong if you gain a lot of LV. What's LV stand for? Why, LOVE, of course! You want some LOVE, don't you?" We both nodded, 'cause everyone likes LOVE! Oh, but if only we knew what we were getting ourselves into.

"Don't worry, I'll share some LOVE with you!" Flowey said with a wink. (Don't worry, don't worry, Goat sisters coming. You: Tapping foot

Me: ._.

"Down here, LOVE is shared through... little white ..."friendliness pellets." Are you ready? Move around! Get as many as you can!"

Me and Frisk both reached out for one. But when we touched it, BAM! Again! My body and hand stung, and I heard Frisk muster an "Ow."

I stole a look from Flowey, and saw an evil look on him. "You idiot." he scowled. "In this world, it's kill or BE killed. Why would ANYONE pass up an opportunity like this?!" Suddenly, the "friendliness pellets" surrounded us. "Die." he threaten. And the pellets started to close in on us.

Just before they hit us, we heard a scream. "YOU LEAVE THEM ALONE!" a high-pitched voice yelled. And something hit Flowey and knocked him away.

After the attack, a small goat girl wearing a purple robe with a white symbol stepped out. She was about the size of me, and was staring at where Flowey was.

"What a meanie." she said in a friendly voice. "Scaring a couple of kids like you two. Hello. I'm Toriel, caretaker of the Ruins."
