Chapter 1

I finished packing my cloths in my suitcase and drag it downstairs.
"You ready to go Y/N?"My father asked with a beaming smile.
  "Yep.... "I murmur.
"Ok. So we have to be at the airport in 20 minutes. Grab your stuff and let's go." I don't move.
"Allons-y!" He spoke sternly. His loud accent booming throughout the room. He picked up his car keys and strides out the door.  I grabbed my suitcase and dragged it out the door to the car, along with my body. The car ride was silent.

As we arrive at the planes gate.  I was on the verge of tears.  Of course, being the emotional person he is, my dad was crying waterfalls.  He pulls me into a hug that felt like he was breaking my ribs.
"I'm going t-to miss y-you. " he stuttered, trying to catch his breath.
"I will to dad." I choked out,  hugging him tight. I'm trying not to cry as we pull away from each other.
'Last call for flight 89.' (Get it because Thomas Jefferson went back to the U.S   from France in 1789. I'll stop.)
"That's my flight." I say with a small smile as I stagger backwards toward the gate.
"Au Revoir!"My father yells with tears still running down his face. I franticly wave my hands as a sign of good-bye. Tears prick the corner of my eyes as I turn around.
