Time

I had walked around and still hadn't found out enough about this place. Long enough, it felt as if I had been her for days, but my phone said otherwise.

"Don't worry so much Lola," Nicholas said as he put his bare feet in the water.

"Don't worry?!" I said as I paced.

Nicholas watched me and he seemed to be trying to cope with me, but I also knew, that it was becoming unbearable.

"Look, I've been living around this place for so long, please, just calm down." He said as he put his shoes on and stood up.

I was still pacing, but I found myself stopping because Nicholas held me by the shoulders to keep me still.

"Alright, alright." I turned around to face him and watched as he dropped his hands down. "So, how old are you?"

"Well, when I first got here, I was 12, but now I'm 23," Nicholas responded.

"How do you know?" I asked curiously.

"What is that suppose to mean?" Nicholas asked, I guess I didn't make sense.

"Well, my phone doesn't seem to line up with the time here, so how do you know?" I explained as I showed him my phone.

"Oh, well I have this." He handed me another device, with the time, and date.

It was really different, I'd never seen it before. When I looked at Nicholas again, I realized that this definitely wasn't the world I was just in days or seconds ago. This really was his world.
