"There's something we need to tell you. We just don't know how. So, to make you understand, maybe we should start from the end." I say

I open my eyes and quickly sit up. Hope does the same. I look at Hope before looking around at our surroundings. I sense someone behind us so I quickly turn around to see Dr. S and Landon laying behind us. I stand up pulling Hope with me when they come too groaning. "Where the hell are we? What happened?" Landon asked and I turn to look at Hope because I knew I remembered everything. "I don't know. But I don't think we're in Kansas anymore." Dr. S said causing Hope and I to turn and look at them.

"On second thought, we'll just start at the beginning. I knew Landon needed us, and at the time, that's all I needed to know." Hope said

*Three Days Earlier*

Hope and I are quietly sneaking downstairs to get to Dr. S' office to get his keys. I walk in his office grabbing his keys from the drawer that he keeps them in before walking out of his office and start to walk towards the door with Hope beside me. I sense someone behind us but just assume it was the sleeping students so I don't turn around. "Going somewhere?" Dr. S asked making Hope gasp quietly. "Shit." I curse turning to walk towards him with Hope. "Better questions, where the hell do you think you two are going with my keys and without telling me?" Dr. S asked and I go to say something but Hope beats me to it.

"Um, you know, Lia just said some really harsh things to you yesterday, and so we just wanted to get you an oil change as a peace offering." Hope said and I force myself not to face palm. I so could've gotten us out of this if she would've given me the chance. Dr. S scoffs. "At 3 am? Hope, neither you nor Khalia have a drivers license." I smirk slightly knowing I could easily prove him wrong because Uncle Kol forced me to get one the moment I turned 16. "You were gonna commit grand theft auto, which is a felony. You're ditching school right before the midterm exams begin, and Khalia has made it very clear to me that she sees me as an authority figure and nothing more." I roll my eyes. "So tell me, why shouldn't I suspend you both this very second?" Hope and I stare at him before lifting up our arms showing him the glowing bracelets. "And what is that?" Dr. S asked "They're basically supernatural compasses." I say "Well, I hope it's pointing you both to your room cause that's where you both are going." Dr. S said and I step closer to him because I was standing behind Hope a little bit. "We're going after Landon. If both of our bracelets are glowing, it means that he's in trouble." I say glaring at him. "Then we're going, and I'm driving." Dr. S said making me look at Hope and smirk.

"We didn't know it yet, but Landon was in Kansas looking for his mom. He had no idea what he was walking into. None of us did." Hope said

I'm sitting in the backseat of Dr. S' car listening to music looking out the window as we cross the Indiana line. Dr. S has been doing car review for these dumbass midterms and it's starting to make me want to murder him even more than normal. "Indiana. Crossroads of America. What's the capital?" Dr. S asked "We learned that in, like, eighth grade." Hope said "Oh, good, then you should know it." Dr. S said "She didn't say that we absorbed the information." I say "Yeah, well, you two are not saying much of anything. Look, if you can't handle grade school geography... you both are gonna flunk all your exams." Dr. S said "Are Lizzie and Josie studying? Maybe you should focus on them." Hope said "Yeah, well, they're still in Europe with Caroline, thank god. I think that's explains why Khalia is so moody though." Dr. S said and I roll my eyes ignoring his comment about me because he is partly right but I'm never going to admit that to him. I lean up between the seats.

"Religion has no place in the classroom, Dr. S. The Supreme Court made sure of that with its ruling on Engel v. Vitale. And Indianapolis is the capital of Indiana. We're getting an "A" in geography. Chill." I say and I hear Hopes bracelet move. Mine isn't a compass of sorts but I can do a spell to see exactly what Landon sees at the exact moment. "Take the next left. He's on the move." Hope said "All right. Indiana is surrounded by what four states?" Dr. S asked and I scoff falling back into my seat with a groan. "I thought we just established that we're both dominating geography." Hope said "Fine. Then let's move on to science." Dr. S said and I roll my eyes.

"I swear to you just say the word and I'll murder him right now and drive us the rest of the way to Landon myself." I say to Hope through our mind link. She snorts out loud before coughing to cover it up. "We can't murder our headmaster no matter how much we want too. Plus how would you explain to Lizzie that you murdered her father and stole his car?" Hope asked making me roll my eyes. "Good point. Never mind. Damn, I hate having to be the good person." I say before cutting the mind link.

"18 and a half hours is a long time to spend on the road, and even longer when you're being car-schooled." I say

"And that is how osmosis works." Dr. S said "Mm." Hope said looking out the window at the house we're parked in front of. "Is this the place?" Dr. S asked "Yup. And not a moment too soon. Pretty sure you were about to tell us how babies are made." Hope said and I snort. "Hey, before we go in there, I just want to make sure we're clear." Dr. S said "Don't worry, we're crystal. You're Professor C, I'm Wolverine, Lia is Mystique." Hope said "I was more of a DC kid." Dr. S said "Then you're Batman, I'm Robin, and Lia is Catwoman. Either way, you call the shots. So how do you want to do this, hmm? Fireball? Wind torrent?" Hope asked "Poison Ivy was hotter." I say making Hope roll her eyes at me smiling. "I was thinking we'd knock." Dr. S said "They'll never see that coming." I say sarcastically and we walk to the porch.

"We should come in hot. There could be a Jabberwocky on the other side of that door for all we know." Hope said and I roll my eyes slightly. "Nonsensical poem written by?" Dr. S asked "Charles Dodgson." Hope said "Wrong. Lewis Carroll." Dr. S said "The pen name of Charles Dodgson. We're crushing English too." Dr. S goes to knock on the door when we hear a scream from the inside. Hope stands back and I knew exactly what she was going to do. "No, Hope-" I say but and cut off by Hope chanting "Patere." and busting the door open. I could sense Landon wasn't here because I didn't feel the pull to the bracelet I gave him. Dr. S walks in after Hope before he stops. "Oh... I'm sorry that we've ruined your lunch. I.. I-I promise we're gonna replace your door." Dr. S made his voice higher for the couple inside. "That's some compass. We're in the wrong place." Dr. S said and Hope starts looking in their mail thing on the door. She pulls out the bracelet she gave him. "Someone knew we were coming." Hope said walking out the door and towards the car. I follow her and sit in the backseat.

As we start moving again, I take the bracelet Landon gave me off of my wrist holding it in my hand. "Invenire." I chant quietly and slip into the spell. With the spell, I sort of attach myself to Landon and see exactly where he is at that exact time. I can speak directly to him and move around this state if need be. I found the spell in a grimoire from Aunt Vina gave to me as well as in a journal from a siphoner like Lizzie and Josie who is stuck in a prison world in 1994.

When I open my eyes instead of seeing the car, I see Landon tied to a chair. There is a woman heating up a fire poker. "Why so quiet? You wouldn't shut up when we were having lunch." The woman said and I see she kind of looks like the woman in the picture with Landon as a baby. "I thought you believed me. Now I'm not giving you anything." Landon said and the woman walks over to him with the fire poker in her hand. She puts the poker over his hand threatening to touch him with it. "Everyone talks... eventually." The woman said "Please don't do this. I swear to you I am telling the truth. I am your son." Landon said and I stand behind him and touch his shoulder making him jump a little. "Don't react Lan, don't show her that someone else is here. Tell her about the school, she'll believe you. Hope and I are on our way." I say before stepping back. "Stop saying that, or I'll burn your lips shut." The woman said

"The Salvatore School. That's who I called. That boarding school I was telling you about? It's a school for vampires, and witches, and werewolves and... because they're real. And so are dragons and gargoyles and freaking talking trees and I don't know what else!" She backs away from him. "You got to be kidding me. You believe that but not that I'm your son?" Landon said and the lights go out. The woman puts her finger over her lips telling Landon to be quiet. "They're here. They must have followed you." The woman said and she walked out the room.

"Wait. You got... you have to cut me loose. Alia, can you help me?" Landon asked "I'm still new to this spell. I don't know what I can do." I say and there's a noise on the stairs. "Seylah, is that you?" Landon asked and I hear bones start creaking and something or someone heaving for breath. A lizard looking thing grabs onto the wall and starts walking down the stairs. "What the hell?" I ask "Holy smokes. We can talk about this." The monster crawls down the stairs. It crawls over to Landon and stands up beside Landon. "If you have a mouth." Landon said before the monster roars. Half of its head gets chopping off and as its body falls, Seylah is standing behind it holding a sword.

I open my eyes gasping for breath like I woke up from a bad dream making Hope and Dr. S turn to look at me before Dr. S focused back on the road. "What was that?" Dr. S asked "I did a spell that I got from our Aunt Davina and I was able to see Landon." I say "Where's he at? Is he okay?" Hope asked "He is with his biological mother and they looked like they were in her house. But Dr. S," he turns to look at me. "I think she's on the run from someone." I say "What makes you say that?" Dr. S asked "She was panicking when Landon pressed the button for Hopes bracelet and just her body language during their conversation." I say

"Spoiler alert. Our story's about to take one hell of a turn. A monstrous turn." I say "I used Landon's bracelet to do a locator spell and Lia did a spell where she could see him... but all it located was more trouble." Hope said

We get to Seylah's house and there's a gas company at the house. I could tell it was a cover up before we even got out of the car. A gas company just happened to be at Landon's mom's house right after a monster appeared? That's not normal. The three of us get out of the car and I walk behind them not trusting the people around us. A guy walks up to us as we walk towards them. Flashes start playing through my mind when I look at the guy. I see flashes of Hope and the guy standing on a railing in a warehouse looking building. She's controlling him with a mimicking spell. Hope throws herself over the railing into the black pit under them with the guy following. I gasp after the vision passes and the guy is the only one to look at me. I quickly look away from him and look at our surroundings.

"Can I help you?" The guy asked "Yeah, I hope so. Uh... say, what's going on here?" Dr. S asked "Gas leak. Don't worry, though, we have it under control. You wouldn't happen to know who lives here, would you? We tried knocking, but no one's home." The guy said and I released the breath I was holding. They don't know about Landon. "Um, we're looking for..." Hope said before I quickly cut her off. "The highway. See, we got lost, and we... well, we saw you guys, and we thought we'd ask for directions." I say and he looks at me. "Yeah, at the end of the road, you make a right. Can't miss it." The guy said "Cool. Thanks. All right, let's go, Jessica, Allison." Dr. S said and I roll my eyes but follow them to the car. "Jessica? Really?" Hope asked "I've been part of enough cover ups to smell one from a mile away." Dr. S said

"Good to know I wasn't the only one who thought so." I say "Do you think they're after Landon?" Hope asked "This was the house that I saw him and his mom at, so probably." I say "Well, all I know is they wouldn't have asked about him if they had him, so... we gotta find him before they do." Dr. S said and he starts driving away. I feel someone watching us and as we drive by the guy, he's staring at me. We lock eyes and once again I see flashes. But this time the guy was crawling out of some clay and calling a clay monster looking thing Father. "Oh fuck." I say out loud. "What?" Hope asked turning to look at me. "They're damn sure after Landon. When I looked at that guy when he started walking towards us, I started seeing flashes of a vision. We were in a warehouse and there was a pit under us. You had that guy controlled by a mimicking spell and tossed yourself and him into the pit. And the second time when we were driving away, he was staring at me again. This time I saw him calling this clay monster thing Father. Now if I'm right about what that thing was then he's definitely after Landon." I say "Malivore." Hope said "Exactly." I say "Use that spell again to find Landon." Dr. S said glancing at me through the rear view and I nod.

"It seemed like the whole world was chasing Landon, but only one person was actually with him."

"Invenire." I open my eyes and I am walking beside Landon. I look around the parking lot to see if they're being followed or if there are any monsters. I take note of the hotel that they are at and call out to the real world. "Dr. S, they are at a hotel. Hope use the bracelet to track him." I say before blocking out the real world and focus on Landon and Seylah. "If you won't tell me who they are, will you at least tell me why they are following you?" Landon asked and"They weren't, until you showed up. So, maybe they're following you." Seylah said as they walk into the hotel room. "I'm not stupid. I would have noticed if I was being followed." Landon said "No, you wouldn't Lan. Don't lie to yourself like that." I say and he glances at me looking slightly offended. "Close your eyes. How many windows are in this room?" Seylah asked "What? We just got here." Landon said "The parking lot, how many cars?" Seylah asked "I don't know, like ten?" Landon asked

"The man who gave us the keys, was he right or left handed?" Seylah asked "Nobody notices stuff like that." Landon said "Unless you're on the run." I say "Three, seven, ambidextrous." Landon sits down on a bed. "Tell me more about you." Seylah said "Why? Because you care or because you want intel?" Landon said "Does it matter? Either way, I genuinely want to know." Seylah said "Too bad. I've already told you my entire tragic life story." Landon said "Do you have a girlfriend? And tell me about that girl that's been checking in on you with a spell this entire time." Seylah said and I gasp as she looks right at me. "To answer the first question, her name is Hope. and she'd probably kill us both if she heard you calling her my girlfriend. And for the second one, how can you see her?" Landon asked "I just feel the dark magic in the area and you called out to someone back at my house, so is she Hope?" Seylah asked "No, she's Hope's sister Khalia." Landon said "Tell her, we're on our way." I say "She said to tell you that they are on their way to us now." Landon said and Seylah nodded.

I open my eyes as we pull into the hotel that Landon and Seylah are staying. We walk to their room and Dr. S picks the lock on the door, like Hope and I couldn't just magically unlock the door. I walk through the door first and as soon as I do, I feel the presence beside me spinning to face Seylah. She's got a gun pointed at my face. "I'm looking for Landon Kirby. I told you, I was coming." I say and she glances behind me to Hope and Dr. S. "And who the hell is with you?" Seylah asked and before I can answer Hope uses magic to make the gun fly to her hand. I roll my eyes at her. "People who care about him. So tell me where he is before I blow your head off." Hope said and I hold up my hand and make the gun fly into my hand, before giving it back to Seylah already over this whole situation. If Hope would actually use her instincts she'd know Landon was hiding in the bathroom.

"You must be Hope." She looks at me. "Which means you are Khalia." Seylah said "Landon get your ass out of the bathroom!" I say and he walks out of the bathroom and Seylah looks at me shocked making me shrug. "So you're the headmaster of a private school for supernaturals. And you're the teachers pet? And you're the teachers pets sister?" Seylah asked "Actually, they're both kind of pains in my ass." Dr. S said and I roll my eyes. "A little judgy for an absentee mother." Hope said "You were wrong. I like her." Seylah said "Well, now you know about us. All we know about you is that you gave birth to Landon, he says a monster attacked you, and now there's some sort of fake gas company coming after you two. So, I think it's time you start filling in some blanks." Dr. S said and Seylah comes to sit beside me.

"When I finished my second in the army, I was recruited by an intelligence organization. The States sounded like a better life. I didn't know what I was signing up for, but soon I learned that things like you exist in this world. My job was very much like yours. To keep the supernatural world a secret. Whenever a monster went bump in the night and risked exposing the truth, I tracked it down and brought it back to headquarters." Seylah said "We're not monsters." Hope said "You are to me." Seylah said "This headquarters, where is it?" I ask "Sorry. You just seem morally inclined enough to do something stupid and there's too much blood on my hands as it is. A few years in, I saw something I shouldn't. I became the hunted instead of the hunter." Seylah said and both Dr. S and Hope sit down.

"What exactly did you see?" I ask "I wanted to know what was happening to the monsters. Because even though I spent all that time studying their every move, I couldn't remember them at all. So I started taking notes. I realized my memory was being erased. The question was: how?" Seylah said "Malivore." I say "How do you know about Malivore?" Seylah asked "Landon took a knife that belonged to our schools collection. Now monsters that shouldn't exist have been coming after it ever since." I say "She means I stole it. And then I, like, um, woke it up or something. What's Malivore?" Landon asked "It's a hell dimension that consumes creature and wipes their existence from the collective conscience." I say "Sound about right?" Hope asked "More or less." Seylah said "Awesome." Landon said

"The last monster that came for the knife was a Necromancer who screwed me over and returned it back to Malivore. Long story. But he said that the knife is one of three keys that kept Malivore confined, so why are the monsters still coming for you?" I ask "I have no idea. Didn't get a chance to ask the last one. He just tried to eat me." Landon said "Yeah, that thing was disgusting." I say "Landon was in trouble and you didn't tell me?" Hope asked "Seylah had it covered. Cut the damn thing in half. There wasn't much we could do, still in the car on the way to them." I say "As you can see, it's been a rough semester." Dr. S said "It will only get worse if you don't go home and forget you heard the name. Just like we forget anyone who's ever been there." Seylah said and I had an inkling that she was going to do it soon. "Wait, wait, wait, wait. You- you have to tell us more. I mean..." Landon said "I don't know who your father is. My job was stressful, so I had flings to blow off steam. Got pregnant, and just like your not-girlfriend said, I'm not equipped to be a mother. Sorry. I thought I was giving you a better life." Seylah said before walking out the door, shutting it behind her.

"You wanna know the worst part? That wasn't the worst part." I say

I follow Dr. S outside and sit down beside Seylah at the pool. Seylah offers her flask to Dr. S. "Oh believe me, I would, but I'm... trying to cut back. Look, I get how hard this is, but we need some answers." Dr. S said "You already know everything I know." Seylah said "I think all three of us know that's a lie. Just like you lied to Landon about not knowing who his father is." I say "What makes you think I was lying?" Seylah asked "Bad liars look away when they lie to their kids. Good liars look them straight in the eye." Dr. S said "We have something in common, then. You have children?" Seylah asked "Two girls. So take my hard-earned advice. Tell Landon the truth." Dr. S said

"How about I tell you two instead? Just to see if y'all believe me. Because I'm still not sure that I believe what I'm about to say, and I lived it." She takes a drink of her flask before closing it. "The organization I used to work for guards the portal to Malivore. When I realized I was having memory lapses, I started writing everything down. Drawing maps, I wrote about the creatures I captured and where I took them. Each entry ended there." Seylah said "So where'd you take them?" Dr. S asked "Nah, that's not important." Seylah said "Eh, seems super important to me." Dr. S said "Well, then I'm not gonna tell you. For your own good, believe me. One day, I snuck in by myself. And what I found was a... a black pit, locked away." Seylah said and I tense knowing exactly what she was meaning. "Is that supposed to be a metaphor?" Dr. S asked

"Oh, no. It's an actual pit, filled with... tar, uh or something." Seylaj said "A literal pit of doom. The story has it that if, uh Malivore consumes you, you experience endless darkness." I say "Yeah. It's not just a story, though. And I should know. I've been there. When my former employers discovered that I was trying to remember the things they made me forget, they tossed me into the pit." Seylah said "So how are we having this conversation?" Dr. S asked "I don't know. I don't even know how long I was in Malivore, only I get the things that she described, the isolation, the loneliness. And then, one day, I found myself back here. I woke up in the middle of nowhere, covered in mud, absolutely no idea how I got there. Turns out two years had gone by, but there was a bright side. No one I worked for remembered me." Seylah said "So you were free." Dr. S said "I wouldn't go that far, because there was also a catch. I was pregnant." Seylah said "So Landon is basically, a, uh, supernatural immaculate conception?" I ask "I'll be damned. You two believe me." Seylah said

"My turns were magically transplanted into their mother's womb by a coven of witches, so my belief tolerance is pretty high." Dr. S said "I can't imagine how you explained that to your kids." Seylah said "Yeah, I was there for that conversation, not pretty. But anyways, my sister and I are natures loophole. We were born to a vampire werewolf hybrid and a werewolf, but we ended up being born a tribrid of werewolf, vampire and witch because our grandmother was a witch." I say "It was easier for me to leave Landon in a small basket on the steps of a local church." Seylah said "Oh, you were young, scared." Dr. S said "I was selfish. And now I'm tired. I've spent 18 years trying to stay off the grid. To remain erased. I can't be his mother. Not in the way he needs me to be. Sorry." Seylah said "You can't just leave him, Seylah." Dr. S said "He'll be better off. You all will." Seylah said and Dr. S went into the hotel room.

My phone rings so I get up to answer it knowing it was Lizzie. "Hey, Liz." I say "Hey, so how's the Landon hunt going?" Lizzie asked "Well we found him and his birth mother. She used to work for the Malivore people before they threw her into Malivore." I say "Well damn." Lizzie said "Yeah, so that's fun. Also your father car schooled Hope and I for 18 hours straight. You're lucky I love you and don't want you to be like Hope and I or I would've murdered your father." I say and she laughs. "I know you would." Lizzie said and I see Seylah's car speeding out the parking lot and Hope laying on the ground. "Liz, babe, I gotta go. The bitch just attacked my sister." I say "Okay. Be careful. I love you." Lizzie said "I love you too." I hang and start running towards Hope. "Hope!" I fall down beside Hope and see a tranq dart in her neck. I pull it out of her neck and start shaking her.

"Hope, wake up!" I say and she slowly opens her eyes. "What happened?" Hope asked "I don't know. I was talking to Lizzie and heard squealing tires and looked over to see Seylah leaving and you on the ground." I say "Big fish! Huge fish!" I hear Landon yell from hotel room. "Shit!" I yell and jump up running to the room. I bust the door open before holding out my hand. "Ictus." I chant making the fish man thing fly back into the bathroom and shut the door behind it. "Also, ick." I say "See? Danger magnet." Landon said "What the hell was that?" Hope asked "Uh, I'm guessing a merman. A very pissed merman." I say "Why are monsters still coming for him? We don't even have what they want." Hope said "I don't know, but we got to get Landon out of here." Dr. S said and Landon goes to his bed. "Oh, no." Landon said "What?" Hope and I ask in sync. "You said a Necromancer told you the knife was one of three keys, right?" Landon asked

"The Nexormancer. Like I said, it's a long story, but why does it matter?" I ask and Landon turns to us holding an urn. "Son of a bitch." Dr. S said "This is Seylah's. I picked it up, but I didn't steal it. I-I... not on purpose, anyways. I don't know how it got in there, just like how I don't know what happened with the knife. I swear, I wouldn't do that again." Landon said ranting nervously. "Landon, Lan. It's okay. We believe you." I say and the merman bags on the bathroom door. "Oh, we got to move." Dr. A said "No, no, no, wait. Leave it, leave it. Hope bracelet." I say holding my hand out for it and she puts it in my palm. "What? Are you out of your mind?" Dr. S asked "Maybe but I'm sick of playing the same game. So let the monster have it. He'll take it to Malivore. We follow him, we know where it is." I say

"I am not taking three teenagers to a covert military hiding place for a demon portal." Dr. S said "You kind of have to." I say "Why?" Dr. S asked "Because Seylah's going there." I say "What? Did she tell you that?" Landon asked "In her own way. I picked up when she was talking to us." I say pressing the button on the bracelet before putting it in the urn. I put the lid on the urn and sit it down on the table. "I'll explain in the car. Let's go." Hope said "H-He's a fish man on land. How fast can he be, right?" The merman breaks a hole in the door. "Oh, my god!" Dr. S yells before shutting the hotel door.

-time skip-

We're in the car chasing the merman who turns out to be pretty fast. "Turns out, he's pretty fast." I say "Listen, this was your idea. So it is within my bounds as the headmaster to tell you to shut it." Dr. S said "What if we don't get there in time?" Landon asked and"Seylah doesn't have that much of a lead on us." Hope said "I can't believe she wants to erase herself just to get out of being a parent." We pull up to a warehouse building. "What the hell is that?" Landon asked and Dr. S slams on his breaks. We all get out of the car. "Triad." I say "Explosives?" Landon asked "On the bright side, maybe this fence stopped our fishy friend." Dr. S said and I see a hole in the fence. "I don't think so." I say and we all climb through the fence. We run towards the building and we see the Merman. "There." Hope said pointing towards him. Landon goes to walk towards it but I stop him. "Hey, stay backed. He's dangerous." I say "I have to get in there."
Landon said ignoring me and runs towards the building. "Landon!" Hope yells out before running after him. "Wait, guys, be careful!" Dr. S yells out before following. "Fuck!" I yell out chasing them and I'm able to catch up with Hope before the merman roars and something explodes sending us flying backwards. The three of them knock out immediately but it takes a few minutes for me to finally pass out.

"We can only speculate about what happened after that, but in hindsight, I think it's pretty obvious." Hope said "Seylah went to Triad. And then she went to Malivore. I'm sure Triad tried to stop her. But she had a reason to fight. And in the end, I'm guessing she won. She sacrificed herself... for Landon. And then she was erased." I say

I open my eyes and quickly sit up. Hope does the same. I look at Hope before looking around at our surroundings. I sense someone behind us so I quickly turn around to see Dr. S and Landon laying behind us. I stand up pulling Hope with me when they come too groaning. "Where the hell are we? What happened?" Landon asked and I turn to look at Hope because I knew I remembered everything. "I don't know. But I don't think we're in Kansas anymore." Dr. S said causing Hope and I to turn and look at them.

I'm sitting in the backseat of Dr. S' car with my back against the door and my feet on Landon's lap listening to music trying to sleep. "Thank you again for coming to help me." Landon said "Sorry you didn't find your mother. What I don't understand is why I can't remember how we found you. Hope, Khalia? Any theories?" Dr. S asked and after a few seconds I feel him look at me but I don't open my eyes. "Work in progress." Hope said "Uh, I think the bus stop is actually that way." Landon said before I fall asleep and only wake up when the car parks at the school. Hope and I walked to Dr. S' office.

I say "Well, in that case, I think the only question we should be asking ourselves is, why do you two remember?" Dr. S asked "I don't know. But I can't imagine that it's good. And we can lie to Landon about all of this, but I'm sorry Dr. Saltzman, we just can't lie to you. Cause we really need your help." Hope said "Speaking of, there's one more thing." I say sitting the urn on the table. "I take it that's the urn I don't remember." Dr. S said "Yeah. I figured it was better to have it here than to leave it lying around." I say "So what happens now?"
