I walk in Emma's office at the time for our session. "I was worried you weren't going to show." Emma said "Well if I don't then I have to hear about it from Dr. S and I'm not really in the mood to listen to him on our drive to find Landon Kirby." I say "So we don't have long before you have to leave with Dr. Saltzman so let's make the most of this shall we?" Emma asked "Sure." I say "I felt dark magic being used in the school. Who was it?" Emma asked "It was me. As it always is." I say "Why did you use dark magic this time? I thought we forbid you from using dark magic?" Emma asked "I'm a Mikaelson no one forbids me from doing anything if they want to live. But this particular time I used it to find a certain Landon Kirby." I say "And what are you going to do when you find him?" Emma said "Bring him justice. Now I know this isn't what you want to use this oh so precious secession for so let's get to it." I say

"Tell me about what happened in the woods with Rafael." Emma said "Rafael asked me to get Landon out of the cellar for the party. I did because at one point he was my friend. A little while later Rafael came and found me, thanking me for helping out Landon. We talked about Lizzie because of a comment she made earlier and how he reacted triggered her breakdown which caused the broken plates in the kitchen. She told me what happened and it pissed me off. I walked away from Rafael before my anger could completely get out of control. Rafael followed me every time I walked away from him. He grabbed my arm, I told him to let me go but my magic slipped out and threw him against the tree. I started freaking out and that's when my magic completely went out of control and uprooted the trees." I say "Because it reminded you of Nate. The last time you were in my office." There was a knock on the door. "Come in!" Emma said and the door opened and there stood Dr. S. "I hate to cut this session short but we have to go find Landon Kirby." Dr. S said and I stand up. "We will continue this another time, Khalia." Emma said "Yes, ma'am. Just send me a note when." I walk out the door and turn to Dr. S. "I have to grab something from my room real quick." I say "Make it quick. We don't want to lose him." Dr. S said and I walk off to my room.

"It should be said that Shakespeare wasn't completely clueless. He has plenty of advice and how to handle betrayal. My personal favorite: 'Think, therefore, on revenge and cease to weep.'"

I walk in mine and Hopes room going straight to the chest with my dark magic grimoires. I look through the grimoire until I find the spell I am looking for and I rip the page out of the book magically replacing the page with a copy incase I lose this page and need the spell again. I walk out of my room and find Hope walking towards me. "Ready to go?" Hope asked "Yeah. Let's go." I say and we walk outside to the car. Once we get closer to the car I see someone under the car on a creeper. "Hello?" Hope and I ask in sync and Rafi rolls out from under the car. "Hey." Rafi said before rolling back under. "What are you doing?" Hope asked "Adjusting the sway bar." Rafi said "Was it broken?" Hope asked and I heard a noise under the car.

"It is now." I say as he stands up. "You two are going after Landon. If you want this car to work, I'm going with you." Rafi said "You should stay out of it. He's a liar and a thief." I say "He took a stupid knife." Rafi said "Nothing in this school is a stupid anything unless you count a couple students." I say "Look, he's my best friend. And you? You seem vengeful." Rafi said "I want to show you something." I walk closer to him and go to put my hands on each side of his face. He grabs my arms confused. I nod at him and he lets go. "Close your eyes, Rafi." I say quietly and he does. I whisper the spell and we get sent into the memory. When it's over he pulls away panting looking down at me. "What the hell was that?" Rafi asked "Your best friend did that to a bus full of people on Route 29 last night, and Lia and I are the only ones who know how to find him, so give Lia the engine thingy." Hope said

"No." Rafi said "I have actual magic powers." Hope said "And I have a long history of anger issues." Rafi said and I blink making my eyes change. "Do we really need to go there?" I ask smiling. "Holy shit." Rafi said jumping back a little. "He can come." Dr. S said when he walks over to us. "What?" Hope asked "He knows Landon. He'll be an asset. And we need all the help we can get, so either fix the car or let Khalia fix it and hop it. And put a shirt on, Khalia put away the eyes." Dr. S said and I make my eyes go back to normal. "You're no fun Dr. S." I say and Rafi looks from his tank top back up at me and I shrug getting in the car.

-time skip-

The car pulls up to the curb where the bus was and we go walking through the woods. "I don't know why he's still out here. He has a whole days lead on us. He could be anywhere." Hope said "Maybe cause he doesn't have a reason to run." Rafi said making me scoff. "Logic that would be perfectly believable if he hadn't you know, ran." I say and we hear twigs snap.
"Wait- - Shh! You hear that?" Dr. S asked "We're the supernatural creatures Dr. S with the supernatural hearing." I say and that's when we hear footsteps. "Someones here." Dr. S said and he starts running. "Damn for a human he can run fast." I say and I start running after him. I come to a stop beside him and there's a woman sitting down but she stands up when she sees us. "I-It's okay. I-I'm not gonna hurt you." Dr. S moved closer to the woman but she moves back. As Dr. S is trying to talk to this woman I am analyzing every part of her incase she's a threat. I smell smoke coming off of her so either she's a pyromancer, another fire breathing creature or she was on the bus.

"Were you on the bus?" Hope and Rafi catch up to us and stop beside me. "Can you tell us what happened?" Dr. S asked "Is she a survivor?" Hope asked "Uh, smells like it. She reeks of smoke." Rafi said "I think she's in shock. Look, I need to get her to the police so she can get some medical attention. Uh, why don't you three go ahead? Don't engage. We don't know how dangerous Landon is." Dr. S said "He's not dangerous." Rafi said "I said don't engage." Dr. S said "Come on." Hope said "Khalia." Dr. S said in warning. "Don't engage. I know Dr. S." I say and we walk away.

As we're walking Rafi wraps his arm around my shoulder and I let him rolling my eyes. "What exactly happened on the bus?" Rafi asked "No one knows. It's like something incinerated it from the inside." Hope said "Look, whatever he did, I know there's a good explanation. He's the most loyal friend I've ever had. After my girlfriend died, he's the only thing that kept me going." I move away from Rafi at the mention of Cassie. "So let me get that knife back for you two and then we can all hear him out, okay?" Rafi asked "Appreciate the passion, but maybe you should exert some of it into making new friends." Hope said

"So I can be as popular and well-liked as you two?" Rafael asked causing Hope and I to stop walking turning to look at him. "Yeah, I've been at the school for two days and I've heard all about Hope Mikaelson and her sunny disposition. And don't get even get me started what I've heard about Khalia Mikaelson and her multiple murder attempts and one murder. So I wasn't the only one you've tried to kill? I'll get you that stupid not-stupid knife and the answers you want. I promise." Rafael said "And why should we believe you?" Hope asked "Because I don't lie." Rafael said making me laugh. "Everybody lies. He's in the foot cellar. You have three minutes to do this your way." I say "Wait, the headmaster said don't engage." Rafi said "Two minutes, 59. Two minutes, 58." I say and he looks at me before running to the cellar.

As soon as he enters the cellar I follow behind him with Hope following me. "This isn't going to end well is it?" Hope asked "No, dear sister it is not. Let me take care of everything. I'm already on Dr. Saltzman shit list." I say "Raf? Holy hell. How did you find me?" Landon asked "There's um a-a lot of crazy witchy people looking for you. There's a bus full of burned-up people." Raf said "That wasn't me." Landon said "Then who was it?" I ask when I walk in. "You said three minutes." Raf said "Like I said babe, people lie. It comes natural to me." I give him the Mikaelson smirk before slowly turning my attention to Landon. "Corporate impetu." I chant holding my arm out causing my eyes to change and Landon to fly into the wall. "Hey!" Raf yelled "Where's the knife?" Hope asked "I don't have it. I must've lost it when I ran." Landon said and I start to slowly close his airways when I can tell he's lying. "After you burned the bus?" I ask and he claws at his throat struggling to breathe and I retract the spell. "That wasn't me, I swear. I barely got out alive." Landon said "Alia, come on!" Raf begged "Last chance. Who the hell was it?" I ask "There was this girl." Landon said and I drop him roughly. "I don't believe a word you're saying." Hope said "You have every right to be mad at me, but I'm telling you the truth. Come on man, help me." Landon said looking from Hope to me to Rafael. "I believe him." Rafael said

"You believe that a fire-breathing woman burned the bus alive?" Hope asked "Yeah." Raf said "And Landon happened to be spared?" I ask "He told you that he ran." Raf said "And conveniently lost the knife on the way." I say "Yes." Raf said "She kept coming at me like she was gonna take it from me. She was burning everything in her path." Landon said "You want to explain to me what you were doing stealing the knife in the first place?" Hope asked "I don't remember stealing it." Landon said "Of course not. How about pretending to be compelled?" I ask "That was to avoid being thrown back into the werewolf dungeon." Landon said "Transitional cellar." I say "Small spaces." Landon said rushing at me and Rafael steps towards him because of the mate bond.

"Khalia, you have to understand, Dr. Saltzman had already told me the school wasn't gonna let me stay. If he thought I'd talk he'd lock me back up. There wasn't a good ending for me. I didn't mean to steal from you and I don't want a fire-breather chasing me. I'm sorry for all of it." Landon said "He's not lying. I know him. Now, if he says that there's a fire-breathing woman running through the woods then there is a." Rafi said before Dr. S runs in cutting him off. "There's a fire-breathing woman running through the woods." Landon collapses against the wall. "Khalia, did I or did I not say "don't engage"?" Dr. S asked "He's only dangerous if shitty apologizes can kill." I say "Looks can clearly be deceiving. Now our bus refugee turns out she's a pyromancer." Dr. S said "Wait, wh-what's a pyromancer?" Landon asked "A fire-breathing witch." Hope said "Dr. S, she wants the knife." I say

"Okay, well, where is it?" Dr. S asked "I-I lost it in the woods. I was running in circles all night trying to find a place to hide." Landon said "Okay, okay. Well, let's find it before she does, huh?" Dr. S said and we go outside of the cellar. Once we get outside she's standing there looking at us growling. "Dr. S, you still sure it's a pyromancer, because that bitch is growling." I say "Khalia, not helping. We don't want any trouble." Dr. S said as the woman holds her hand out looking at Landon. "What does she want?" Rafael asked "I don't know." Landon asked and she pushes her hand forward. "Lan?" Raf asked "She wants the knife that you said you don't have." I snap glaring at Landon and the woman's eyes starts glowing so I make mine change. ""Back in the cellar, go. Go, go, go, go." Dr. S said and we go back to the cellar.

As soon as we get to the cellar and the doors shut I quickly turn towards Landon throwing my arm out to throw him against the wall. "Khalia, let him go! Now!" Dr. S yells "Khalia!" Hope yells but I tune them out. "You have one fucking chance to give us the knife before I take it off your cold dead body." I say glaring at him. "Rafael try and get through to her. You're the only one here who can." Hope said and he steps in front of me blocking my line of sight to Landon. "Unless you want to end up like him, I suggest you move." I snap "You know I can't do that. You need to let him go, so we can talk to him." Rafael said and he puts his hand on my cheek and my eyes flicker and I drop my hand causing Landon to fall. I step back away from him. "I'm sorry. I panicked." Landon said taking the knife out of his jacket pocket. "What the hell, Lan?" Raf asked "Hope or Khalia the doors." Dr. S said "Got it. Adiuuatur. Okay it's a quick fix. It won't last long." Hope said "All right, great, I need a cell phone." Dr. S said "Take your pick." Landon said pointing to a pile of stuff and Dr. S grabs a cell phone. "What is all this?" Hope asked and Raf grabs a license. "It's from the people on the bus." Raf said and we all look at Landon. "I didn't bring it here. I..." Landon said and I cut him off. "If he says "I swear" one more fucking time, I'm gonna melt him." I say and Dr. S calls Dorian.

"Please tell me you have something." Dr. S said "Connection sucks. W-where are you?" Dorian asked
"Root cellar full of contraband that our pickpocket Landon Kirby claims he didn't steal." I say "There's a fire-breather outside. Can you prioritize your rage?" Rafael asked "Dragon." Dorian said "What?" Dr. S asked "Dragon. She steals treasure, breaths fire, hides the loot in her lair. I don't know how I didn't figure it out earlier." I say "She's- she's not a pyromancer, she's a-" Dorian said before Dr. S cut him off. "Dragons don't exist, or look like normal people." Dr. S said "There was a time we could have said that about vampires." I retort and he scoffs. "Okay, fine. She's a, a human dragon. Now what?" Dr. S asked

"In anything I've ever read." Dorian said "In fiction." Dr. S said "The way to take down a dragon, you need a buttload of courage and a sword." Dorian said "How bout a knife?" I ask pulling out the knife. I blow open the door of the cellar and both Hope and I walk out. I throw the dragon back. "Didn't anyone ever tell you smoking a bad for you?" She hits the ground and gets back up. "I know. Quittings hard." The dragon goes to breathe fire and I hold out the knife causing Hope to get behind me. "Scutum." I chant holding the fire back. As the fire gets harder to hold back I make my eyes switch and my magic becomes stronger right before the dragon is hit upside the head with a rock. "Took you long enough." I say "Sorry, I couldn't find a rock." Rafael said "There's literally a liar full of heaven objects." Hope said "Khalia, alley-oop." Raf said and he went running and jumped on something as I throw the knife in his direction. He catches it and stabs the dragon in the heart with it. Rafael takes the knife out of her heart. "Promise kept." Rafael said handing me the knife. Landon and Dr. S comes out of the cellar. "You three alright? Let's give her a proper burial. See if you can find a shovel." The three of them walk away while I stand still. Dr. S' phone starts ringing.

"Dorian." Dr. S said and I listen in on the conversation. "Found it. The soft spot, that's how you kill it." Dorian said "Uh, knife to heart did the trick." Dr. S said "Huh. Okay. So much for research." Dorian said "What are you reading, Game of Thrones?" Dr. S asked  "Puff, the Magic Dragon." Dorian said making me snort. "Look, this just doesn't make any sense. I- it has got to be something else." Dr. S said and then I heard growling behind us, I turn around and see a dragon. "Holy shit." I say "Nope. It's a dragon, all right. I've got to call you back." Dr. S said "Ric. Ric!" I hear Dorian say

"Dr. Saltzman. Oh my god." Hope said as they walk out of the cellar. "Was that a...?" Landon asked pointing up. "You guys go. Get to the car and get out of here." I say "What about y'all?" Rafael asked "I have an idea." I say "What?" Dr. S asked "She wants this. She's going to be back." I say holding the knife up. "All right, you two, go to the car. I'll meet you there. Go, go." Dr. S said and Landon starts running. Rafael hesitates. "Rafi, you need to go. Please. " I say "Promise me you'll be okay." Rafael said "I'll be fine. Now you need to follow Landon. Go." I say and he quickly kisses me before running off. I ignore the feeling it gave me or the looks from Dr. S and Hope. "You two wake up with a death wish today?" Dr. S asked and Hope and I move to stand in front of Dr. S.

I see the dragon start to come back. "All right, it's coming back. Now what?" Dr. S asked "You should take cover." Hope said "Like hell." Dr. S said "Then tell me how I'm going to explain to your daughters that all that's left of you is hot ash." I say "The dad card? That's a low blow. All right." Dr. S said and he goes to take cover. "Hope you go too." I say "No way in hell. I'm not letting you do this by yourself." Hope said "Hope, I am way stronger than you. I can take care of myself. Go!" I say making my eyes change and she scoffs before running toward the cellar.

After a few minutes I wake up and see the dragon is back as a woman. I get up and grab the knife walking over to her making her look over at me. She holds her hand out for the knife. "Where did you come from? "Why do you want this so badly? What's so special about it? Say something." I say and she turns away from me and she turns back but I stab her in the throat killing her. "Guess that was the soft spot." Hope said and Dr. S grabs the spell. "Shit. Another trip to Emma's office we go." I mumble. "What is this? This isn't earth magic, Khalia." Dr. S said "This wasn't an earth magic problem." I say "We don't allow dark magic. It gets inside your heart and it poisons your mind." I roll my eyes. "Now, I looked the other way this morning cause I knew you were upset, but this is a death spell. A spell you couldn't have known you'd need to use on a dragon, which... which means you had other plans for it. Landon did something stupid, maybe evil. We won't know until we learn more, but... he's still just a kid, Khalia... and so are you. This hatered... this vengeance... this is your father." My eyes flicker in anger trying to not kill him in front of Hope. "It can't be you. I won't allow it. Now you two bury her. And I'll see you two back at the car." Dr. S said "I won't bury her." He stops and turns to look at me. "She tried to murder me. I do not have remorse for something that tried to kill me. It's better her than I." I say and he looks at me slightly shocked before he walks away.

Hope buries the dragon and go back towards the car. Dr. S is leaning against the car but I don't see either of the boys and I immediately stop walking. "W-where are they?" I ask "Gone. I found these on the windshield when I got back." Dr. S said handing Hope and I separate letters.

Dear Khalia,

You strike me as the kind of person who doesn't give people chances much less second ones, even though I'm probably on my third with you by now and for that I am sorry. I know that I have only just found you and Lizzie and I'm already leaving you both but you have to understand, I have been the only family Landon has had for as long as either of us can remember. I'm sorry that my leaving has hurt you and Lizzie in some way but I am doing what I think is best for Landon. I will forever be sorry for hurting you and Lizzie.

I get in the car after reading the letter. I sit in the back seat putting my earbuds in blaring music looking out the window ignoring Hope and Dr. S as I feel tears rolling down my cheeks. I feel Dr. S look at me through the mirror ever once in a while but I ignore him. I've never admitted this to anyone not even Lizzie I've always been jealous of the twins since my parents died because they still have Dr. S and Caroline even though she is always gone they still get to talk to her. Dr. S told me why she is always gone and I've tried helping her from the school. While I've been helping her, she's been helping Lizzie and I figure out this soulmate thing. She's the only one of Lizzie's family that Lizzie wanted to know.

As soon as we get to the school I go straight to mine and Hopes room and go straight to the roof ignoring Hopes calls for me. She climbs up onto the roof with me. "You okay?" Hope asked "He left me and Lizzie for Landon. I don't know what I expected but it wasn't that." I say "Dr. S will most likely have Jeremy go out looking for him because of Rafael being a werewolf and Landon knowing about us. He will be back and I will gladly beat the hell out of him because I know with the mate bond you can't. Now let's go down to one of the beds and go to sleep. It's been a long day." Hope said and I nod and we climb back into our room.
