Avalyn and Darren married years ago, however, in the last few years he has been distant and never home. As she plans a special night with him, she finds out he has been having an affair. Unwilling to give up, she sits in a hotel bar most nights waiting to see if he shows.

Jasper sees Avalyn and wants to make her realise her worth, only she refuses to give in. One night, she gives in to the temptation of Jasper after realising Darren is never going to put her first. Jasper instantly feels a connection to Avalyn but swears never to touch her again until she ends it with Darren.
