Woot woot~ xD winter break plus it's Christmas eve I know that most of you guys are spending the day with your family and won't be able to read. Yes this will have a battle, might be short tho, TELL ME WHO SHOULD BATTLE!!! I'll make it work some how, I just need to know who should battle since I got nothing, lol. "Hey Natsu wanna come shopping with me, Levy and Erza?" Lucy asked. "Hell nah" I bluntly responded. Lucy playfully rolled her eyes, she said 'bye' before she closed the door.

Leaving me all alone with Happy.

There was nothing to do... I'm all alone with Happy in the inn since everyone left somewhere. I'm just here sitting at my window starring at children playing. I swear, I look like some kind of pedo right now.

"Natsuuuuu~ lets go somewhereeeee!" Happy complained, tugging on the back on my vest. "But where?" I dully asked. "I don't know, somewhere other than here". "Nope I rather stare at children" I said back. Happy sighed. "How about we get some food" he suggested. "I'm broke Happy, I spent all my money on that claw machine yesterday, I just wanted those damn ninja stars..." I sulked. "They were plastic!!! Fakes Natsu!!! Fakes!!!" Happy said. "No they weren't!!! It was the real thing!!" "It said 'Plastic' in bold" Happy argued. I mentally slapped myself. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!!" I shouted. "I did tell you!! But each time I tried to tell you all you said was 'Hush child! I'm concentrating, this is my one way ticket to becoming a true ninja" Happy shot back. I sighed in frustration. I crawled over to my duffel bag and rummaged through all the clothing in it. I checked each pocket of every pants in there, and surprisingly I found 5 bucks.

Happy saw the five dollars in my hand, "I'll take that before you spend it all of it in attept of trying to get a plastic ninja stars from a toy machine" he said snatching the money from my hand. I sighed and went along with it.

"What are you waiting for lets get some food!" Happy cheerfully said and flew out the window, I proceeded to follow him and jumped out the window which earned me some stares from strangers on the streets.

We just walked through the busy streets.

"You think this is enough for food?" Happy asked. "It's probably enough for a single serving size" I answered. "aka my serving of food" Happy continued. "What are you talking about? My money, my food", I slightly glared. "Uh, not my fault you were being a total idiot yesterday and spent all your money" Happy resorted. I shot him a glare as he did the same.

Happy looked around at food stands but nothing seemed to catch his interest. "Hurry and get something before I take my damn money back" I threatened with a small smirk. He simply ignored my comment and continued to search for his meal.

"Hm... there's nothing good..." he mumbled. "Oh! How about that ramen shop Sakura showed us?" I suggested, Happy's eyes lit up. "Why didn't I think of that sooner!!!!" He squealed in joy and flew towards the shop with out me. "Hey! Wait up!!" I shouted, but he didn't look back. I pushed through the crowd to catch up to him.

Happy had already ordered his ramen by the time I caught up. I sat in one of the empty seats as I watched Happy happily slurp his ramen.

"Old man!!!" A voice shouted from the distance. I raised a brow and looked in the direction of the voice. Naruto was running towards the shop with his frog wallet in hand. "Oh Naruto, your back" the ramen guy said with a smile. "Yep, I'm back for another 10 rounds" Naruto sheepishly smiled. "Oy, Naruto" I said, catching his attention. He looked my way and smiled, "Hey Natsu" he said with a small wave. "Whatcha been up to recently?" I asked. "Nothing really... You know since there are no matches" he said. "Tsunade, said she's got the arena ready for the higher ranks, we just gotta tell her when-" "Hold up, you mean we can have battle tournaments again?!?" I grinned waiting for his answer. "I guess, yea" he said as a hot bowl of ramen was placed in front of him.

"What are we waiting for then!!!?!" I shouted grabbing onto Naruto and Happy and began running towards to the Hokages building. "Waitttt! My food!!! My ramen!! Ma baby!!!" Naruto whined, but I continued to run.

"Well we're all back here once more" Tsunade sighed. "We got, Laxus, Gildarts, Mirajane and Erza participating for the higher rank battles, and Kakashi, Guy sensei, myself and Gaara participating for our side (A/N: comment who else).

"So~ Who shall be be in the first round??" Tsunade said before she picked a name out of the four. "Laxus vs." She picked another name. "Gaara".

I obviously cheered Laxus on, but as usual he rolled his eyes at my cheers.

Gaara was already in the arena, waiting for Laxus to get ready. Gaara stood there with his arms crossed and a jug of sand on his back. I've gotten a glimpse of his power, you know, back when he saved me from Erza's wrath :3 So I'm quite grateful that I'm still alive because of him. Anyways back to the point! Gaara's power is sand, earth chakra. He manipulates sand and uses it to fight. It's a pretty awesome power in my opinion, just think of the amount of sand castles he could make!! Also, he rocks the no eyebrow look.

Nobody's POV (A/N: Not all of Laxus's moves have a name so... things will happen without saying the spells name)

"Let the battle begin!!!" Tsunade shouted. "I missed shouting that" she continued with a chuckle.

Everyone stood to watch the battle between the two. "I'm not one to go first...but" Laxus smirked and cracked his knuckles. "Lightning body!!" He shouted, his body was engulfed in lightning, essentially turning him into a lightning bolt.

He moved at the speed of light and moved in to attack Gaara from behind. Gaara didn't flinch he didn't even bother to move nor take a glance at Laxus, sand quickly escaped his jug and served as a shield blocking Laxus's attack.

Laxus jumped back and was now standing behind Gaara.

Gaara turned his head to see him. "Sand coffin" he calmly spoke.

In one swift movement sand struck Laxus and tied it's self around him. Laxus winced in pain. He sparked up lightning around his body. The sand loosened, just enough for him to break free and jump back.

Gaara put his sand to rest. The two stood there. Red marks were left on Laxus's body while Gaara stood there without a single injury.

A few sparks of electricity came from Laxus's body. Light appeared from right under Gaara. He glanced down at the light before he quickly jumped back. A large amount of lightning emerged from the spot Gaara was once on. Gaara gulped at the horrific amount of lightning that was put into that one attack. More light appeared from under Gaara and he jumped out of the way just in time.

Laxus smirked "Gotcha".

Gaara had stepped right onto his electric land mine that he had prepared, knowing that Gaara would jump right on it.

He watched as Gaara's sand tried to wrap it's self around him to protect him from the blast, but he was one second too late. The lightning quickly struck upwards, completely covering Gaara's body. Laxus smirked in accomplishment, but that smirk faded away as he saw the Kazekage standing there, feeling zero pain. Laxus's eye's widened as his attack had no effect on him.

Gaara held his hand out "Desert hand".

Two sand hands erupted from the ground and targeted Laxus, the blonde cursed under his breath as the hands attempted to grab his body whole. He clenched his fist and raised it up when he was far enough.

"Resounding through the air, the roar of thunder, plunge from the heavens and reap destruction!" He chanted. A lightning bolt fell upon Gaara.

His sand stopped its attack and rushed to cover the red head. The attack had ended and Gaara's sand retreated back into the jug. Laxus watched as a small bit of Gaara's sand armor chiped and fell to the ground.

The blonde charged full speed ahead. "Lightning dragon's breakdown fist!" His fist lit up with strong volts of electricity.

He shoved his fist forward, lightning shot out and went straight for Gaara. And once more his sand served as a shield. "C'mon Laxus!!! Kick his ass" Natsu shouted from the side lines. "Shut the hell up, I know what I'm doing" Laxus growled making Natsu shut his mouth before he got a good beating from the lightning dragon slayer.

He took in a deep breath. "Lightning dragon's roar!!" Laxus shouted, letting out all the air he had which had converted into lightning.

As expected Gaara incased himself in sand. He wasn't the type to fight back unless it was necessary. Laxus charged foward at the still gaurded Kazekage.

"Lightning dragon's iron fist" he said swinging his now electrified fist at Gaara's defense.

He managed to make some cracks on his shield but more sand moved in to fix it. By no means was Laxus weak, but his magic has no effect on his sand (earth).

Gaara let his defense down and used the sand as a whip. His sand had slashed Laxus's body multiple time within a matter or seconds. Laxus tried to fight back but Gaara's attacks came at him with no stop, everytime he summoned his lightning it was shot down by the red heads attacks.

"TIME!!!" Tsunade shouted ringing a bell she'd just gotten.

Laxus jumped back and let out a sigh of relief. "It's a tie" she continued. Gaara nodded and sent is sand back into his gourd.

"You did well even though your magic had no effect" Gaara complimented with a nod.

"Thanks..." Laxus said with a small pant. "Go get your injuries checked out" Gaara said before he walked back to his brother and sister. The blonde was pretty upset about the outcome, and was even more upset that his magic did no damage. "C'mon Laxus get up, you heard the guy, gets your injuries checked" pouted the white haired girl with her hands on her hips. "Mira..." Laxus said softly, she smiled. "Go before I have Elfman carry you" she laughed. Laxus got up and walked to the infirmary without another word.
