''Help me! Something's wrong with Jevin!''

Cub and X looked up from the chests they were looking through to see Hypno running in, panting.

''What's wrong?''

''I don't know. He's like a statue. Please help me!''

''I'm coming. Cub?''

''I'll come too. Maybe I could help.''

They followed Hypno to Scar's terraforming shop, where Jevin sat on a chest, unmoving.

While Cub went over to Jevin, X talked to Hypno.

''How did this happen?''

''Well, we were busy talking about random stuff. Jevin sat there on that chest, while I looked around in those barrels. I noticed Jevin becoming quiet after a while, and I looked up at him and he was like that.''

Cub noticed Jevin's eyes were white, a telltale sign of control.

''Hypno..''

''Yeah?''

''I think you got your power today.''

''What? But how could I..?''

Suddenly, X's communicator pinged.

''His name is his power''

''Jevin's hypnotized.''

Cub looked up, so did Hypno.

''How do I get him out of it. I didn't want this to happen. Cub? You've got mind control right? Help me please.''

''I don't know if-''

''Please.''

Hypno looked so scared, he felt sorry, but he didn't know if his way would work. However, it's better than nothing.

''Close your eyes.''

Hypno complied

''Now try to see how you're controlling him.''

''...''

''Hypno?''

''Chains.''

He shivered

''What?''

''Jevin's in chains.''

''Now-''

''Why's he in chains?''

He sounded genuinely scared.

''Hypno?''

''This is my fault!''

''Hypno!''

He started shaking, guilt filling his voice. Cub ran over, grabbing him, forcing him to calm down.

''Now, imagine removing the chains.''

He did, and suddenly he heard a gentle thump. He open his eyes to see Jevin there, a little dazed but otherwise fine.

''I'm so sorry!''

Jevin reached out and put his hand on his shoulder

''It's ok. I remember what happened and I know it was an accident.''

Hypno nodded, still guilty, but feeling a bit ligher
