~Little Red Riding Hood~
A/N: My girlfriend gave me the idea to do one about this. It'll be LOOSELY based around the story "Little Red Riding Hood" with my own kind of twist to it. Anyways, enjoy! :D
++++
A red-caped female was walking down a path through the forest. She was carrying a basket of some sorts with her. Inside the basket was all kinds of baked goods, such as breads, cakes, pies, and cookies.
The female was skipping around the path and soon enough came to a fork in the path. It split off into two directions.
"Which way do I have to go again?" The female pondered to herself.
The female stood there for a few minutes, trying to remember which direction she was suppose to go.
"Need some help~?" A voice growled slightly from around her.
The female jumped and squeaked slightly as she thought she was alone.
"W... Who's there?!?" The female squeaked a bit more in fear.
She whipped her head around, trying to figure out who said that. Soon enough a figure appeared behind the female.
"Boo~" the voice growled behind her.
The female squeaked and fell a bit after she whipped her head around and was scared.
Soon enough there was laughing coming from the figure that scared her.
The red-hooded female looked up at the figure with a pout.
"That was not funny." She grumbled as she dusted herself off.
The female scanned the figure up and down, noticing that he had wolf ears and a wolf tail. This made her a bit more fearful, because she had always heard about the dangers that wolves present.
"W... Who are you?" She asked, looking up at the slightly taller wolf-male.
"I should ask you the same thing~" He replied with a slight growl.
The female sighed and rolled her eyes, being quite annoyed by this guy.
"Shannon. My name is Shannon. I'm trying to find the way to my grandmother's house to deliver this basket." The female, Shannon, responded, somewhat waving the basket around.
The wolf male's eyes were soon attracted to the basket, he could smell the delicious food inside of it.
"What's in that basket... If you don't mind me asking." The male said.
Shannon looked at him and rolled her eyes again, "its just food." She said bluntly.
Shannon began to walk away back to the fork in the paths.
"Hey! Wait up! Where are you going?!" The wolf asked, coming up beside her.
Shannon was now getting more irritated by the wolf.
"I told you. I'm trying to find my way to my grandmother's house. Its like you didn't fucking listen to me the first time I said it." She said, more irritation in her voice.
The wolf male was a bit shocked by her tone, his ears drooped slightly from the yelling.
"Maybe I can help you..." The wolf said. "What kind of house does your grandmother live in?" He asked.
"Its a log cabin style place." Shannon replied, being blunt again.
The male thought for a moment and pointed at a path, "it's that way. I only know of one log cabin type of place around here." He said.
Shannon nodded and began to head down the path that she was told to by the wolf, not even giving a second glance back at the wolf as she was quite annoyed by him.
***
About ten minutes had passed and Shannon was still on the trail.
"This doesn't seem right..." She mumbled to herself as she approached another fork in the road.
This time the fork in the road had three paths that she could take.
"This really doesn't seem right..." She said a bit more out loud to herself.
"I'm telling you, I only know of one log cabin style house out here." A familiar voice spoke.
Shannon whipped herself around and saw the same wolf-male from earlier.
"Were you following me the whole time?!?" Shannon asked, being more annoyed.
"Only to make sure you were heading in the right direction~" He said, becoming a bit defensive with his tone, even adding a growl in there.
"Yeah, well I think you set me up here. This is not the way to my grandmother's house. I never seen this many forks in a path to her house." Shannon said, snapping back.
"This is the thanks I get? No thank you Mr. Wolf for not eating me? No, thank you for helping guide me. Nothing." The wolf responded, somewhat staring at her basket of goodies once again.
"Because you didn't help me! You sent me down a path that isn't right!" Shannon said.
The wolf rolled his eyes, "whatever." He said and began to walk away.
Shannon took a deep breath and sighed, looking back at the wolf and then turning back to the forks in the path. She chose one path and began to head down it.
***
Now twenty minutes had passed from the moment Shannon first encountered the wolf. She couldn't help but feel a bit bad for the way she acted but she was only doing it to protect herself because she never knew if he would attack her.
Shannon kept pushing forward and came to yet another fork in the path. Soon enough she turned around to see if the wolf was following her. To her surprise, he was no where to be found. She was both relieved and somewhat disappointed.
"Oh... Which path should I take now?" She said out loud, hoping it'd draw the wolf-male towards her, so she could apologize, however she was soon disappointed more because he didn't show up.
She sighed and began to head down the trail in the middle.
***
About forty minutes had passed and Shannon finally arrived. She was quite shocked because it was in fact her grandmother's house.
She went up to the door and began to knock on it.
"Granny! I brought you a bunch of sweets!!" Shannon exclaimed as she stood at the door.
There was complete silence as she stood there. No answer at all.
"Granny?!" She exclaimed again, only to get the same situation.
Shannon was now a bit confused and worried, so she gently turned the knob to see if it was unlocked. The door was indeed unlocked and she entered it.
"Hello?!" She said after she walked in, not bothering to close the door.
Shannon had set the basket down on the table and began to look around the house.
***
After looking around for a few minutes Shannon took a seat down at the kitchen table. She thought it was quite odd that her grandmother wasn't home because her grandmother didn't really travel much. She also thought it was quite odd that her grandmother's house looked different from the last time she was here.
***
A few more minutes had passed and Shannon continued to sit around.
Soon enough a noise coming from outside scared her and made her slightly jump.
"Granny?" She asked, looking towards the open door.
Shannon was soon surprised by what she saw. A familiar figure had entered the house.
"W... What are you doing in my grandmother's house?" Shannon asked.
The figure turned around and it was the same wolf-male she encountered a long time ago.
The wolf-male jumped a bit by Shannon because he was slightly scared.
"W... What do you mean?" He asked, looking towards her, "this is my house!" He said, somewhat beginning to get defensive again.
It now clicked for Shannon as to why this house looked different interiorly compared to her grandmother's house. Now Shannon began to panic slightly as she was now in a wolf's house and she didn't know what he'd do.
"I... I'll go! I'm sorry for entering!" Shannon squeaked and stuttered slightly as she was a bit fearful.
"Nonsense~ Have a seat~" The wolf said, beginning to walk to the kitchen table, where she was seated once again.
Shannon nodded and stayed put in the seat. She wouldn't admit it but even if she's only known this wolf-male for a few minutes/hours she thought he was kind of hot. She kept giving occasional glances towards him, hoping he couldn't see. Little did she know that he could see those glances and couldn't help but let out a growl each time, which only caused Shannon to become more and more flustered.
The next thing she knew was that she saw the wolf turn around and somewhat smell the air.
"I think I still deserve a thank you." He said, motioning towards the basket of goodies she had.
Shannon thought it was kind of cute/funny what he still wanted what was in the basket.
"Only if you tell me who you are!" She giggled slightly, she was becoming a bit giddy on the inside.
The wolf let out a playful huff, "fine, my name is Kyle. Now... back to business." He said, pointing.
Shannon giggled more and nodded. She then looked around.
"Got plates Mr. Wolf?" She giggled.
***
A few hours had passed and both Shannon and Kyle had become well acquainted.
Shannon also found out why he sent her down the one side of the path originally. He did it so he could get to know her more and also get what was in her basket.
Shannon also had decided that she was going to stay at the wolf's house for only a day. Little did she know that it wouldn't be for just a day. It would be for what would be forever.
***
A year or so had passed since Shannon had met Kyle, the wolf, and had moved in with him. In fact, even her and Kyle were now dating. Adding to this, Shannon was now showing signs of being pregnant.
***
A few more months had passed and after a few long, stressful, and painful weeks/months, Shannon had finally given birth. She gave birth to a baby boy which they named Brian. Baby Brian had some of his dad's features such as the wolf ears and a small wolf tail. He also gained some of his mother's traits too, such as her humor and friendliness, however that wouldn't be noticeable until he was a few years older.
***
About four or five years had passed and the little family of three were still together.
***
It was the early morning one day and the family of three were busy sitting around the little house. Soon enough there was a knock on the door.
Shannon got up and opened the door. Outside of the house there were three people. One being a wolf-male, another being a female and the last being a little boy. It was another family of three.
"Oh... Hello there." Shannon said, smiling a bit.
"Hello! We've just built a house right beside your's and thought we should introduce ourselves. My name is Jaren, this is my wife, we call her Cool, and this is our son Brock." The wolf-male, Jaren, said.
Shannon smiled and motioned for them to come in.
"We have some new neighbors!" Shannon said, somewhat leading the new neighbors into the one room where Kyle was playing with his son Brian.
***
The two families had gotten acquainted and the two little boys, Brian and Brock, were busy outside playing with each other.
***
Many years had passed, about nineteen/twenty years had passed and the area had changed slightly. Jaren and Cool's boy Brock had moved away many years after they met Shannon and Kyle. Brian had also moved away once he was old enough.
***
A new day had dawned and a male was making his way through the woods. He had a basket of goodies that he carried with him. The basket was labeled "mom and dad."
The male came to a fork in the path and he stopped to think about his directions.
"Need some help~?" An Irish voice spoke from around him.
The male quickly spun around to see a wolf-male behind him. Both of them locked eyes with each other.
"Y... You seem familiar..." The non-Irish male spoke, looking at the Irish speaking wolf-male.
THE END?!?!?
....
A/N: That is the end of this one-shot! Its on a cliffhanger just in case I wanted to do a sequel. Also, if you didn't figure it out, the two at the end were Brock and Brian (:P) It was almost exactly how Brian's parents met, on the exact same path. Anyway, I hope you've enjoyed this one-shot and I'll see you all in the next one! :)
PS: Happy 3 Months to my girlfriend!
Peace out!
