Today I saw an article titled "Scientists have just reversed ageing on human cells." There's this weird thing that humans do where they are fascinated with immortality. Fascinated with the idea that we could stay alive forever. I have some thoughts on this subject for those proimmortality. One, have you ever read a book featuring an immortal character? No? I can tell. You want to know how? Because not a single immortal character I have ever read about is happy with their immortality. Even the ones where the people around them are too. Two, the idea to me of being stuck in this miserable existence indefinitely is absolutely terrifying to me. As a Christian I believe in a beautiful heaven where there's no pain or sorrow anymore and I want the opportunity to experience that. Anyways. I just don't get it the immortality obsession. Rant over.
