Later that night, my family grouped around our big table for supper. I knew Kaven was going to say something about what happened earlier that day when I was taking him to school. He told the whole story in complete detail: what happened for him to be in that situation and how if one thing changed, none of that would have happened.

"Kaven, that's great!" Mum exclaimed, "we're you excited?"

"Definitely," he nodded, "I couldn't believe it at first, but then I knew it was real. Everything that I thought was happening was happening, and I still couldn't believe it. It was great."

"Whenever I saw her necklace and his necklace together, I almost lost it. It was amazing. She was really pretty, too," I looked over at Kaven, and he nodded his head to agree with me.

"She was so pretty," he smiled, "I loved her hair. And her name is as beautiful as she is: Lainey."

"I love that name!" Mum exclaimed, clapping her hands together, "you should invite her over sometime soon."

"I will, of course," he laughed as if it was obvious that he would. I loved seeing Kaven happy like that.

"She gave me her phone number, and I was thinking about texting her tonight. I can't wait to talk to her more. I hardly said anything to her," Kaven sighed.

"At least she gave you her number," Calum shrugged, "I didn't have anything to find your sister. I saw her in her car and waved, then caused her to get a broken arm." Calum shook his head, most likely mentally scolding himself.

"Yeah, I guess I should be glad I have her number," Kaven nodded him agreement with Calum.

"This morning, my necklace randomly got a lot warmer, but during the day, it got less warm," Kit shrugged.

"Hm," I shook my head, wondering why that would be. Usually, his necklace was pretty warm.

"Was it any less warm than usual?" I questioned.

"A little bit," he nodded, "just a tiny bit, though. Not too much."

"Well, maybe you got really close to your soulmate and didn't notice who it was, but then gradually got away from her throughout the day. That's the most reasonable explanation."

"Yeah, I guess that could be it," Kit nodded.

"Isn't it funny that my soulmate lives the farthest away, but I met him before either of you met your soulmates?" I smiled at Calum.

"Yeah, that's funny," Kaven laughed.

"I always thought I'd meet my soulmate last, but that didn't happen. I'm glad," I giggled.

"Me too," Calum smirked at me as he sat beside me. I puckered my lips, leaning towards him, and he put a finger to my lips. I pouted, and he laughed. He pressed his lips on mine and let me kiss him.

"I-" I began. Even though I knew he was my soulmate, I was hesitant. I didn't want to say it quite yet. I still did.

"I love you," I whispered into his ear.

"Kay... I love you, too," he smiled, and I nuzzled my head into the crook of his neck.

"You're still at the dinner table.." Dad rolled his eyes. I laughed.

"I love you, Dad..." I put on my 'forgive me' face.

"I love you, Kaylee Marie," he shook his head, looking back down at his plate.

"So what all went on while you were both in the east coast?" My mom wondered.

"Well, something that involves Kit," I chuckled, "Calum and I both met Mikey Murphy."

"Really? Did you meet Griffin too?" Kit asked, "what about Linus?"

"Yeah, I met Griffin. Who's Linus, though?" I questioned.

"Their puppy," he laughed, "I was just wondering."

"Wait- you met Mikey and Griffin?" Calum wondered.

"I didn't tell you? Yeah, I met them. Michael stopped me because he saw me driving around and he thought I was lost. Griffin came from behind him, then."

"Cool! They're great," Calum smiled. I nodded in agreement.

"Mikey told me that he was going to film a video with you, Kit," I looked to Kit to see if it was true. He told me it was.

"While I'm thinking about it, Calum... How did you know I was your soulmate when you saw me in my car?"

"Well.. I saw you in a dream," he smiled. A dream?
