Chapter 10 - "im so glad i met you"

A little while after leaving the airport, Calum and I arrived at my house. He got very jittery and wouldn't stop moving around because he was so excited.

"Calm down, Calum. You're going to scare them into thinking there's something wrong with you, like, you can't stop moving," I nudged him.

"I'm sorry. I'm just super excited because I finally get to meet your family!" That was probably number ninety-seven of the times he had said that. Not quite a hundred, but it was pretty high up there.

"Come on, Cal," I walked up to the house and walked in, making our way into the living room through the sliding glass back door.

"I'm home!" I announced, causing commotion in the living room. Mom, dad, Kit, and Kaven all rushed into the room.

"Kaylee!" They all exclaimed, running to me.

"Who's this?" Dad wondered, looking at Calum and smiling.

"This is Calum," I grabbed ahold of Calum's hand and entwined our fingers. My family looked at us and couldn't stop smiling.

"Calum, as you know, this is Kit and that is Kaven. Then these are my parents, Georgia and Kyle," I gestured to them.

"It's nice to meet you, Calum," my dad shook his hand, and my mom hugged him. I was glad they approved. Even though they hadn't say anything about approving, I could tell by the way day were acting.

"So, Calum, where are you from?" Kit asked.

"I'm from Australia," Calum spoke in front of my family for the first time. They were amazed by his accent. I think they liked it almost as much as I did.

"My family lives in Sydney. I live with my parents, Joy and David, and my sister Mali," Calum informed them farther.

"That's nice. So are you going to be staying with us?" Mom wondered.

"I will, yes, if that's okay with you guys," Calum looked at them for their approval. They nodded, telling us it would be fine. We made our way to the car to grab everything of ours.

"Wait, Kaylee," Kaven stopped us.

"Yeah, Kav?" I wondered, turning around.

"What happened to your arm?" He asked. I sighed, and got ready to tell the story again.

I let Calum lead the story, telling them what mainly happened, as he usually did. I just listened to the story for about the fifth time. My parents were amazed at the story. I had a broken arm, but I also had my soulmate.

After Calum told them the story, we both walked out and got all of our luggage and our bags. Calum carried most of it in, but I carried two bags in my left hand. I couldn't carry any in my right.

We took our luggage up to my room, where both of us would be staying. I was glad it was a big room because we had quite a bit of luggage. I would be able to unpack, but Calum would have to leave his luggage sitting on the floor. I was fine with that.

"You'll be okay with us sleeping in the same bed, right?" I wondered, making sure it wouldn't make him uncomfortable.

"No, I'll be fine. don't worry. I think I'll really enjoy sleeping in the same bed as you, cuddled up to you, really close to one another," he smiled, getting closer to me.

"I think I'm going to enjoy it too," I smiled, "we'll be able to be really close to each other. My parents won't care. Plus, they never come into my room while I'm sleeping, anyways. Well, I haven't been told. I haven't woken up because they were in my room or something like that," I shrugged.

"Yeah, I understand," he nodded, chuckling, "that's good, though. What about if Kit or Kaven comes in and sees us close and cuddled up with each other? What would they say?"

"Again, they wouldn't care. I can tell they like you, and they're really amazing. Just don't annoy them. If they get annoyed, you're in really big trouble. Other than that, they're great brothers."

"Okay," Calum nodded before changing the subject, "you'll be okay with my luggage just sitting over here, taking up space in your room?"

"Yeah. I'm fine with it. Don't worry about it. The room is big enough, and your luggage won't be much of a bother. Actually, could you help me unpack my suitcase so it isn't as much of a burden just sitting around in the room?" I looked at him, and he nodded, grabbing a piece of luggage to begin unpacking. I was glad he was helping, and he was also learning where I kept everything.

"Where do you put your underwear?" He looked at me.

"My dresser, second drawer from the top," I informed him.

"Thanks, babe," he smiled, putting my underwear away in my drawer.

"No, thank you, Cal," I leaned my head on his shoulder, "for helping me with putting this stuff away."

"You're welcome, Kay," he pecked the top of my forehead with his lips.

I laid back into his arms. He embraced me.

"I'm so glad I met you," Calum said softly, sweetly in my ear.

"I'm happy I met you, too," I whispered.
