Emily
As I watched Lilly and Colby in the kitchen, I smiled to myself. They were waiting for some waffles to come out of the toaster, and Colby was sitting on the kitchen counter playing with Lilly's hair. Meanwhile, I was laying on my stomach on the living room couch, clicking away at my computer.

I was taking my Calculus class, trying to solve some problems. Lilly prefers taking the classes at night, but I like taking them in the morning to get them over with. Soon, the pair walked out of the kitchen, joining me on the couch across from mine.

"Do you want one?", Colby asked, gesturing to his breakfast.

I gave a small smile, and shook my head. "No thanks, I'm not a breakfast person."

  "Or a food person."

My eyes shot over to Lilly, not sure if I heard her right. She avoided my glance, digging her fork into her syrup-soaked waffles. Colby didn't seem to hear her mumbled remark, as he continued eating and scrolling through Instagram.

I knew that I couldn't avoid the topic with Lilly forever, she would eventually force me to talk to her.

There was silence for a few minutes, besides my occasional mouse clicking and pencil scratching on a notepad, until Colby unexpectedly spoke up.

"Hey, Em? Can I ask you something?"

  "Mhm, sure."

  "What's your Instagram?"

"I don't have one", I told him, still concentrating on the screen.

"What?! Why don't you have one?"

I scoffed. "Because Instagram is for hot people."

"But you're hot though." He glanced over at Lilly. "And I'm saying this in a best-friend type of way."

Rolling my eyes, I looked up from my computer. "Okay, Cole, whatever you say."

"No, you are. Here, give me your phone."

Before I could do anything, he grabbed my phone from the couch. I smirked, he didn't have my password to unlock it. Just as I felt like I finally outsmarted him, I heard the familiar click of my phone opening.

  "4321, Emily? Really?"

"What?! I wanted to use something nobody would expect!"

He stared at me with his eyebrow raised.

I crossed my arms like an annoyed little kid and slumped back into the couch. "Oh, shut up! It's something called reverse psychology."

Colby rolled his eyes playfully and continued messing around with my phone.

"What are you doing?" Once he didn't answer me, I repeated myself, but still got no answer in response. I tried to grab my phone back, but he pushed me away.

  "Just a few more.....okay here!"

He put the phone next to my leg and jumped behind Lilly. It took me awhile to comprehend what he had done, but I finally saw. He had set me up with an Instagram, posted some stuff, and followed a bunch of our friends.

  "Colby! Why'd you do this?"

He shrugged. "Because you need a life."

Lilly was in the middle of drinking a glass of orange juice, and almost spit it out of laughter. Colby and I joined her laughing.

  "Touché, Cole. Touché."

I scrolled through my profile. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Maybe I could get used to this. I saw that the picture that Colby posted had already gotten comments, so I answered some of those.

But Brennen's comment stuck out at me. It made me wonder if what Colby said was true. Although, I still don't understand how he could like me.

Another thing I didn't understand was how I had already gotten sixteen followers in under five minutes. I could understand about five of them, since most of them were our friends. But the majority were people I have never met.

I was about to ask Colby, when he shoved his phone in my face.

  "Look."

Grabbing it, I saw that it was a Tweet from Brennen.

It had gotten a couple of mean comments, but Brennen defended me. I smiled, and handed Colby his phone back. Realizing that I had gotten distracted from my school work, I put my phone back by my side.

Since Colby had made my profile, he made sure to write about himself in it. I would probably change it later on, depending if I remembered to or not.

In less than five seconds, another notification went off. A phone was again pushed in my face by a grinning Colby. I took the phone and read it, shock overcoming me.

I never knew that Brennen could get so angry about anything. He's usually the type to be calm in any situation, but clearly not this time.

"He said 'not right now'", Colby pointed out, raising his eyebrow with a 'I told you so' smirk across his face.

"So? He probably didn't mean it like that."

"Am I missing something?", Lilly called from across the kitchen, placing the plates in the sink.

As I was about to say 'no', Colby covered my mouth with his hand.

"Yes, you totally are! Brennen likes Emily, and she likes him back!"

"Oh come on, Cole. No I don't!

  "Yes you do!"

I rolled my eyes. It felt like we were first-graders, arguing about who got the last cookie.

  "Okay, fine you win."

Lilly walked back to the living room and grabbed my arm, shaking it. "Oh my god Em! You should ask him out!"

A pink shade rose to my cheeks. "I wanna wait until I'm sure he likes me, okay?"

They both nodded their heads, understanding.

"Now, can I finish this damn math already?"

"See, this is why I didn't go to college", Colby said.

"It's not college, stupid. It's high school", I reminded him.

  "Oh yeah."

  "Now let me work!"

Colby chuckled, getting up from the couch. He joined Lilly in the kitchen, helping her clean up.

I was almost done with my work, maybe just a hour or two left. After that, I was free to do anything I wanted. However, I would have to go to the Trap House around one o'clock, because Corey wanted me to help him with some video.

It definitely felt like I haven't stopped since I arrived in Los Angeles. Everyday I was either helping with a video, being filmed, or hanging out with someone. Although it could be tiring sometimes, it was definitely the most fun I've ever had in my seventeen years of life, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
