  The car rolled to a stop as we pulled into a driveway. The house wasn't huge, but it also wasn't small, either. I ran through options in my head as to whose house this could be, but I couldn't think of anyone.

  "Brennen?"

  He twisted his keys, turning his car off, and looked towards me.

  "Mhm?"

  "Where are we?"

  Brennen laughed and took the camera. "My mom's house. I was thinking we could play a little prank on her."

  "What do you have in mind?"

  "You'll see. Just play along."

  I gritted my teeth and grabbed Kobe, holding him like a baby. He had fallen asleep in the car, and I would do anything to make sure he didn't wake up.

  Now I could see why Brennen treats Kobe like his actual son. It was pretty hard not to treat him like a human-being.

  Brennen knocked on the front door, holding his camera up. A few seconds later, a short woman answered the door. She was smiling, but as soon as she saw Brennen, she closed the door.

  He smiled and rolled his eyes.

  "Mom! C'mon I'm not that much of an embarrassment!"

  The door opened again, revealing the same woman. She threw Brennen into a hug and laughed.

  "I'd beg to differ."

  Her glance turned towards me and she raised her eyebrow and smirked.

  "And who is this? Does Brennen finally have a girlfriend?"

  "Um, we're not - "

  I felt a soft kick on the back of my foot.

  "Actually, that's what I came here to talk to you about", Brennen blurted out.

  I glanced at him, confusion spread on my face. I was about to say something, when I remembered what he had said in the car about to just 'play along'.

  Brennen's mom's face fell into shock, and she motioned for us to come in. I watched as Brennen quickly set his camera on the tv stand, so it would capture all three of us. She sat down on the couch and stuck out her hand.

  "Please, call me Lisa."

  I softly grabbed her hand and shook it. "I'm Emily."

  She looked at her son, then back at me. "So, how long have you guys been dating?"

  I figured that I would let Brennen do most of the talking, and only give an answer or two just so it wouldn't seem suspicious.

  Kobe was playing with a toy in the corner of the room, biting it and shaking his head.

  "Babe?"

  I must've been zoned out for a while watching Kobe, because as I looked towards Lisa and Brennen, they were both staring at me.

  "Oh! Um, yes!", I quickly blurted out. Hopefully I didn't just answer something wrong. Lisa gave out a sigh of relief.

  "Good. Brennen's only twenty two, he doesn't need a child yet."

  What the hell did I just answer to? And I never knew that Brennen was twenty two. He looks younger, so I've just assumed that he was around eighteen.

  Does he even know that I'm seventeen? Although, the age difference wasn't as big as Elton and I's.

  We all made some small talk until Lisa went into the kitchen to get some drinks. As soon as she was out of sight and out of hearing range, Brennen and I laughed.

  "When are you gonna tell her?"

  He shrugged. "After she comes back." He glanced at the kitchen then got off the couch and squatted next to the tv, talking to his camera.

  Soon, Lisa came back with three glasses filled with raspberry lemonade. I slowly took mine off the tray, trying my best not to spill it.

  "So, mom. We have something to tell you. Promise me you won't freak out." He rubbed the back of his neck to make it seem like he was nervous.

  "What is it?"

  "Well, I just wanted to say...that you just got pranked!"

  I watched as he took the camera off the tv stand, swinging it around to his mom. Lisa put down her glass and frowned. "Really Brennen? I though you actually found someone."

  "Aw, I'm sorry Lisa Bear", he said jokily, hugging her in the process.

  Seeing them together melted my heart. Not just because they had such a great relationship, but because it made me think of what my life would be like if my mother and I had that same connection.

  My thoughts were interrupted as Brennen jumped unto the couch seat next to me and held the camera in front of us.

  "So, Taylor Fam. You may be wondering who this precious little bitch is. Well this thing here is Emily. She moved to LA about four weeks ago and she's pretty much my best friend now."

  He put his hand to the side of his mouth, whispering to the camera. "Don't worry though guys, Brolby is forever."

  He winked at the camera and then proceeded to do his outro. A little while after, he shut off the camera and tossed it on the couch. Brennen formally introduced me to his mother, telling her who I actually was.

  We all talked until Lisa told us she was tired and was going to bed, telling Brennen to lock the door when he left.

  "So what do you wanna do now?"

  I looked towards him and laughed. "Bren, it's almost eleven pm. Nothing's open."

  "We can do an overnight", he smirked.

  "I think we did enough for one day. Plus you have to edit your video and upload it."

  His eyes grew wide as he realized what I said. "Shit! I have to upload tomorrow!"

  I laughed as he grabbed his camera and ran to his mom, giving her a kiss on the cheek. Giving her a quick hug and goodbye, I ran out of the house following him. I set Kobe unto the back seat as Brennen pulled out of the driveway.

  We were almost to Lilly and I's house, when he turned down the radio. I looked towards him.

  "Brennen! That was my fucking jam!", I said, hitting arm playfully.

  He laughed. "Sorry. I just wanted to say, we should hang out again."

  I smiled and propped my elbow on his shoulder. "Yeah, I'd like that."

  As we drove under streetlights, I was able to see Brennen clearly. His face was a shade of pink, and his hands gripped the steering wheel tightly, causing his knuckles to turn pale white. He was staring straight into the road, biting the inside of his cheek.

  "B-Bren? Are you alright?"

  He snapped his head towards me, shrinking into the seat.

  "Y-yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking..."
