Emily
My room already had a fair share of furniture in it, but Lilly still had a moving truck that was coming filled with more in case we wanted to switch some out.

The U-Haul would probably be coming in a day or two.

There was a bathroom inside my bedroom, and it was pretty big.

Lilly had gave me some towels, shampoo and conditioner, and body wash from her suitcase so I could take a shower.

We would probably go shopping tomorrow for some basic house supplies like spoons and paper.

Inside the closet there were four towels, so I grabbed two - one for my hair and one for my body. I went inside the bathroom, shut the door, and turned the shower on hot.

I almost jumped in but remembered something - the band-aids. After an attempt of taking them off, but wincing in pain, I decided to just take them off in the shower so they would come off easier.

After a quick fifteen minute shower, I twisted my hair into a towel and wrapped the other towel around my body.

There was some bandages inside the draw that I had put there when we first came inside, so I took some and placed them on the cuts.

It was pretty foggy inside the bathroom, so I turned on the vent.

When I was done cleaning everything up, I walked back into my room.

I threw my backpack onto the bed and took out the clothes stuffed inside. Then, I laid the clothes out onto the bed and stood up, thinking of what to wear.

They were pretty wrinkled, but it's better to wear wrinkled clothes than damp clothes.

I finally picked what clothes to wear, so I grabbed them into my hand and walked over to the window.

I looked all over, but I couldn't find any button to close the blinds. There was a nightstand by the bed, so I walked over to it, hoping it was in there. I squatted down next to it and crossed my fingers.

There was a small remote on the second shelf. It only had two unmarked buttons on it, so I would just have to hope that I was pressing the right one.

  'clank'

Looking over, I saw that the curtains were closing. It instantly became dark, so I turned on the light so I could see.

I slung the clothes over the mirror and got dressed. After changing out of my damp clothes and into the wrinkled ones, I smoothed my hand over the fabric to try to straighten them out.

It didn't really work, but the clothes looked better than before.

The scars on my stomach and upper thighs made it impossible to wear any shorts, so I would just have to be wearing jeans for a while.

The ones on my stomach had almost gone away, so some makeup could make it go unnoticed.

I was about to move away from the mirror, but then I saw something on my face.

  "Shit", I muttered.

The bruise was still plastered on my jaw, which meant that even more makeup was necessary.

After putting on a fair amount of makeup, the bruise was finally covered up. I walked away from the mirror, smiling as I did.

I placed my phone in my back pocket and ran to Lilly's room.

As I knocked on her door, I poked my head in. "Hey dude, you done?"

  There was no reply.

"Lills?" I looked around her room and saw no one.

  "Hey!"

I gasped and took a huge breath of relief. It was Lilly.

Her head was sticking out of the corner behind me. She was laughing her head off.

"Oh my god, Lilly! You scared the crap outta me!"

"Sorry, not sorry", she said, sticking her tongue out.

It was just then that I noticed her outfit.

She didn't have any makeup on and her hair wasn't in any fancy style like it usually is, but she still looked beautiful without any of it.

"Oo la la, where are you going, dressed like that?" I made sure to wiggle my eyebrows.

She laughed. "More like, where are we going?"

"Uh, I thought we're gonna go look around."

Confusion came across me. Didn't she say that we were gonna go explore?

"Well yeah, but...my manager just called and said that the new company wants to have a practice run with me. She said that they told her that it was just a fun, little shoot to see how I do with the camera, and that I could bring a friend along. And I think that you're dressed perfectly for it. It'll probably only take a hour or so, we can go exploring after."

  I laughed. "Sounds good"

It was obvious that she was both nervous yet excited.

This would be her first time speaking directly with this new group, and apparently most well-known people got pictures taken there.

She linked her arm into mine and raced down the stairs, wrestling into her purse to grab the keys.

Once she locked the front door, I took my phone out of my pocket. Lilly ordered the Uber last night, so it would only be fair if I did it this time.

We want to get a car soon, and I have to start looking for small jobs so I could earn decent amounts of money until I could graduate high school and get a permanent one.

It's Lilly and I's last year of high school, and we only have less than a month until we graduate. Both of us have been taking online school forever, so it was easy to move to LA.

I want to go to college, preferably UCLA, but I just don't think I have the money to afford it.

I guess that I zoned out, because before I knew it, we were getting into a Silver Honda.

Our driver was pretty funny, he kept us entertained for by telling us some stories and a few jokes.

In less than twenty minutes, we arrived. The car pulled up to a huge building with so many windows, it looked like it was made of glass.

Lilly thanked the driver and I handed him seventeen dollars. As soon as she opened the car door, we were greeted by the sound of LA traffic.

It was calming, in a weird way.

We walked inside and somehow found our way to the front desk. The lady sitting down looked up at us.

"Hi, welcome to Tellious Modeling. Do you have an appointment?"

It was clear that she was tired, her fake cheery smile and obviously repeated greeting told it all.

"Uh, yeah, hi. I just got a contract. My name is Lilly Sedeño."

The worker nodded and slid her finger down the computer screen, trying to find something.

"Oh, there you are! Floor six, you're signed with Stephen. Good luck!"

  "Thank you!"

We rushed into the closest elevator, Lilly tapping her foot nervously as we went up.

"Hey, calm down, you'll do great, Lills. To be honest, I'm actually pretty excited."

She raised her eyebrow, "Really? You usually don't like this sort of -"

'ding!'

The elevator sign showed that we were on the sixth floor.

Her smile grew and she watch as the doors open, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't smiling too.
