Top 3 The Second Runner Up

Top 3 is entry 3 Chuchuus congratulations!!

Review:

The Puzzle of My Heart tells the tale of businessman Abhishek Mehra, who has been burned and spurned by the one he loves on his wedding day. This incident has had a deep negative impact on our hero who has turned into a rude, arrogant, selfish human being who is disgusted by everyone except the people closest to him. Loved the author's use of descriptive writing and dialogue to give us a real sense of Abhi's personality.

Enter Miss. Innocent, Pragya, who has been hired, together with her friend "Fara" to take care of his grandmother. At first, thanks to his horrible behaviour, Pragya became afraid of him, but after working there for four months, and observing him, she eventually sees through his rudeness and decides that there has to be another reason for the way he is. Despite the objections of her friend Fara, Pragya decides to find out the real reason behind her employer's loathesome behaviour.

Soon enough, Pragya makes progress in her plan and Mr. Arrogant begins warming up to her, which brings about changes in his personality as well. Abhi ends up opening up to Pragya who, judging by her words on trust, leaves me to believe that she might have been deceived as well....who knows?

And finally, our hero and heroine fall in love and get married. Their scenes together were cute and romantic.

Fara, to me, is a very straight-forward character, with a bit of an attitude. With her, it's basically what you see is what you get. If that's the way you act, then that's the way you are and nothing can change that. There is no underlying reason or background story for someone's shitty behaviour. She's seen the type of personality Abhi has and wants no part of it!

Disha is really sweet. Despite her brother's current nature, she still loves him alot and sees in him the kind caring person that he used to be. Love the bro-sis bonding between them.

Siddharth is all of us when we have that stubborn friend who refuses to listen when we say things for their own good. No matter how badly he is insulted by Abhi he never gives up on him. Now that's a true friend!

Wonderful story...great descriptive writing. Good job Author!

Judging Points

-As per the judging rules:

* The Character Options mentioned above has been used in the story.

*The Author has written herself into the story as the Character "Fara".

*Title of the story is there

- Grammatical errors aside, the storyline was good and descriptions, especially for Abhi's character, were super, although some of the descriptive words have been used over and over again.

- Scenes were okay, although more could have been added in, for example, why did Pragya use those words about trust? Is there a reason for it? Why does she love people but not trust them? Was she also hurt like Abhi? A bit more of a backstory on Pragya's character would have been nice.

- Scenes between Abhi and Pragya were cute and romantic in description, but they were lacking a certain chemistry/passion/intensity between them.

-Descriptive thoughts were good, but got a bit boring at times.

-Dialogues were good.

- Nice writing skills.

-Love the Author’s character.

All in all the story was satisfactory!
