Chapter Five

Sorry that this chapter is short. I hit a brief writers block but I got through it!

You try to keep yourself from laughing so hard, Dean's reaction was a lot funnier than the two ladies from the college campus. They were obnoxious, stupid and rude, calling people, including your brother old. Not that you were complaining after all. Your brothers were older than you by a lot.

"Hello? Earth to dumbass?" you say, waving your hand in front of Dean. Dean snapped out of his thoughts and turned toward you. "You good there? You seem kind of shocked by a guy liking you."

"Okay, let's just um get back to work." Dean turned on his heels and walked out the door. You roll your eyes and make your way out the door just as Dean's phone goes off. You pause and wait for your brother to answer. He pulls out his flip phone and read the caller ID. You scoff at the sight, wondering why Dean hadn't updated his old flip phone with a new cellphone.

"What?" Dean asked.

"Nothing, anyway continue is that Sam?" Dean nods and steps away from you leaving you by the door. You lean against a nearby wall and wait for Dean to finish talking. But out in the corner of your eye, you notice a figure that was vaguely familiar. You take off after it as it raced passed the campus pub. You were determined to understand what this creature wanted and if it meant that you had to face it head on then that was going to happen. Behind you, you heard Dean hang up the phone and call out to you. Not really willing to stop, you continue on until the creature led you to a shady part of town. There were people who stared at you like you were a piece of meat. Even though you were uneasy, you try to keep your eyes away and make sure that you don't look any of the strangers in the eyes. The only good thing was that Dean had been following you, or at least you believed he was following you.

"What do you think you're doing?!" Dean exclaims, grabbing your arm. "Y/n, don't wander off like that."

"But I saw something." You complain. "It looked like the thing that attacked me at the orphanage, believe me De." Dean opened his mouth to say something. Concern crossed over him when suddenly, a loud roar came out of nowhere. Dean grabs your arm and pulls you behind him. Ready to take on anything that could hurt you. Even though you were glad about that, you would much rather take care of yourself versus Dean or some man protecting you. The creature you were following appears before you and Dean. its hideous features struck fear into your body. Two arms on one side of its body and one on the other. Hairy hindquarters were as dark as night, feet as sharp and clawed as a cat. Three eyes of different shades, plus one horn directly in the middle of its forehead. "That's the creature I saw!" Dean pulled out a silver blade rather than the creature being afraid it laughs at Dean as if it were human before ultimately taking off.

All around you, people are staring. You suddenly have a terrible feeling that something was going to happen. Dean guides you away from the shady side of town and takes you back to the campus pub where he lets you know they needed to help Sam. Especially since Dean told you that Sam was being followed.

"I take it that's the Cuegle?" Dean asks. You simply nod, but still you don't quite understand what's going on. Something seemed strange. Especially about the whole situation involving that creature. It was like it had been targeting you the entire time. Not willing to take your chances, you remain quiet, but determined to establish what to do about the situation. "Looks like we've got work to do, then." Starting the car, he drove away from the campus pub and to the rendezvous site where you met up with Sam and the two of you walked toward the Impala as a ploy and giving Dean a chance to sneak up on the shadow.
