“Sylvia, get out of here! You’ll die if you save me!” Mum shouted in the strongest voice she could. I was petrified and alone, far away from my home. In the vivid red sea, Mum was dying. She had a sharp spear stuck in her back that inflicted a terrible wound. She was losing so much blood it was eventually going to kill her. Mum was too weak to swim now. I wanted to save her, but I couldn’t because I would be probably be killed by those nasty humans too. Mum said her last words, faint as a whisper: “Just go, Sylvia. Just go.” Then she died. I didn’t want to watch what happened next, it was too much for almost any dolphin to handle. I swam away, as fast as I could, to nowhere. When I got extremely exhausted, I thought: I know not all humans are like this, but I will never, ever forgive them for what they did to my mother.  I’d rather drown.
