TWENTY FIVE

Wild thoughts raced through Diamond's head and one thing stood from the mumbo jumbo in her there. She had to get out of the fucking room. She didn't want to kill or shoot Daniel but if she was forced, if he didn't cooperate she would have to. And she would become a murderer and her mother would stop talking to her because she was now the biggest sinner. She would have taken a life.

Sweat dribbled on the nape of her neck her hair becoming damp as well. She felt like an eternity had passed with her holding the gun against Daniel's stomach.

"Untie my legs Daniel." She spoke through clenched teeth. She wanted him to do as he was told so no one would get hurt. She wasn't going to be jailed because of a lunatic that couldn't take rejection well. If she wasn't cheated on by one man, she was sleeping with another whose reputation with the ladies wasn't very colourful and now she was dealing with a psychotic man who claimed to love her and want to imprison her in the small room where she was bound to feel closed up in.

Untying the shackles off her legs Daniel sighed; that crazy twinkle in his eyes was replaced by anger. Diamond pointed a gun at him, with aim to harm him and yet he did nothing but love her. He was very angry.

Looking over at Diamond who was now stretching her legs, feeling as blood rushed through them, she pushed them into her sleepers that were properly placed beside the bed.

"I am going to forget about this Daniel and don't you dare follow me." She warned him and instead of agreeing to the terms of the one with the gun, Daniel burst out in fits of laughter, doubling over.

Diamond was scared shitless, she jumped to the door and before she could swing the handle and make her escape, Daniel walked over towards her in a speed of light. "Shoot me baby. But you aren't going anywhere."

Diamond looked at him, the gun safe between her shaking hands... even though she was shaking, that gun was firm in her hands; she wasn't going to drop the only leverage she had over him. "I don't want to shoot you Daniel, step back." She spat harshly.

Daniel snickered and told her to pull the trigger if she wants to get out of there. Diamond wanted to piss on herself. She was scared out of her mind. She wasn't a killer and she's never used a gun before it was too heavy for her.

She pulled the trigger with tightly closed eyes.

"Bazinga!" Daniel shouted like a child in a candy store, like Sheldon cooper in a ball pit. "I got you." He grinned and watched her as she pulled the trigger once too many times, tears streaming down her face.

Daniel walked over to her and he flicked his nose before punching her square in the jaw causing her to fall down and sob hysterically. Not only did he punch her but he continued to kick her over and over while curled into a ball shielding her from his wrath.

"I'm sorry Daniel I am sorry please." She begged him and it fell on deaf ears. Daniel was angry. Once satisfied, seeing the blood drip from her nose and mouth he picked up the empty gun and swirled it through his index finger.

"When I say I love you Diamond, I meant it. You are mine." He walked out of the room and left her crying and wimping on the cold floor.

Darkness loomed over her and she succumbed to it.

* * *

Orlando had grown a pair; Diamond didn't want him as he thought she did, as he wanted her to so his life had to go on. He wouldn't let his father drive the company into the ground so he went back to work and relived his father of the duties and the old man was utterly grateful for. He was old and he was getting impatient with everyone and making hasty decisions that hurt the economy of the company and Orlando no matter how angry he was towards his father, he couldn't sit back and watch.

The company meant a lot to him, it had to stay there through generations to come.

A knock resounded on his office door and in walked Janelle the HR assistant and the lady his friend Raymond couldn't stop talking about. She had in her eyes a worried look and somehow seemed nervous.

"Janelle how can I help you?" Orlando asked standing up from his chair to pick a bottle of water from the fridge.

"I... I don't mean to speak out of turn but I thought since I know about you and her and that you would be able to help me and it's not like I am meddling in your affairs but I just –" her rumbling was cut off by Orlando's hand silencing her.

"Breathe." She took deep breaths. "Now tell me what's wrong."

Janelle took another deep breath and knew there was no other way to ask him what she wanted to ask except to just put it out there. "Diamond... we were supposed to have dinner yesterday and she didn't come through, I called her and her phone rang unanswered and then it was switched off. I went to her apartment and asked the security to open and she wasn't there and she didn't sleep there either. Now I know I shouldn't be worried but I am." Janelle told him and just hearing Diamond's name caused his blood to still.

"She's probably with her parents." He told her, refusing to think something had happened to the girl. "Or she's with her other friends."

"I called Sam and Lisa they haven't heard from her and her parents also haven't heard from her. This is unlike Diamond. Even when she's hurt and feeling terrible, she'd rather close herself in the house than to disappear."

Orlando didn't want to think that far. "You know what, let's give her until tomorrow to answer her damn phone, if she doesn't we will look for her okay? Right now you go to work and relax. I am pretty sure she is fine." Janelle nodded and retreated back to her department leaving Orlando to himself.

She had put a tracker on Diamond's phone a while back... which is how he always knew where she was at all times. Just when he was about to check on it, the phone rang and he had to rush to a meeting.

Forgetting about the tracker.
