Have you ever been involved in a situation that made you wish the world could stop spinning so you are able to jump off?

Diamond felt exactly like that, she wanted to jump off the face of earth and disappear into oblivion. Her breathing was uneven; Orlando's hand was still under her dress as he too was frozen. Neither one of them expected company; hell the man forgot that his family had access to his place.

"Well don't stop on our account, as you were." Orlando's grandmother commented first on the situation not making it any easier for Diamond.

"Mom!"

"Grams!"

Orlando and his father groaned and moaned simultaneously at what the old lady said. "So this is what you and your assistant get up to after office hours?" there was a slight bitterness to the words uttered by Adrian York.

"Yes, when your assistant is also your girlfriend then yes this is what happens after office hours; anyway what are you doing here? Not that I am not glad to see you grams." Orlando cast his father an icy glare remembering how the man wasn't really fond of Diamond but his face turned soft when he looked at his grandmother.

"Girlfriend, since when?" his father asked and Orlando turned to help zip up Diamond's dress and ushered her to his bedroom.

"Since the day we got in a relationship father." He answered on his way to the bedroom, there he locked the door.

The minute the door locked Diamond burst out in laughter and Orlando was shocked, not less than a minute ago she looked like she wanted to shit on herself and there she was, head tilted back roaring in laughter.

"Are you high?" Orlando was rather confused at the sudden change of events.

"That was hilarious; I wanted to die back in there. Your grandmother wasn't even attempting to help; she just added fuel to the fire."

Orlando cracked a smile, admitting that it was actually a funny thing to have happened to them.

"Do you think your father will ever accept this? I mean I love you Orlando but I don't want you and your dad to have fallout because of me." She played with her bracelet, a sad kind of feeling creeping up on her.

Orlando walked over to her and tilted her chin so she can look into his eyes. "I love and respect my father but I can't build a future with him and if I must say, he can't give me the kind of pleasure you give me." The man wiggled his brows as Diamond slapped his chest. "I want you, I love you and I accept you and if my father loves me, he will accept this too." He kissed her and told her to go shower while he tends to his guests, uninvited guests.

"Okay what are you two doing at my house late in the day?" Orlando cut to the chase. The man was angry at them because he was unable to get some action. He was horny as fuck about ten minutes ago and now he was frustrated.

"Is it a crime to visit my favourite grandson?" his grandmother asked, settling down on the couch that Orlando wanted to fuck Diamond on.

"I am your only grandson." Orlando rolled his eyes.

"I have a feeling if you had siblings or cousins you'd still be my favoured." Grandma winked at him, the old lady really has some fire in her, and she was incredibly sweet and always spoke her mind. "Nice girl you have there what is her name?"

Orlando looked to the direction of his bedroom and a smile webbed on his handsome face. "Diamond, Diamond Barry grams and yeah she is alright, nice and a total sweetheart." Speaking about Diamond caused fairies to dance around his heart. It swelled with excitement.

His father sat down and looked at how happy his son was, "I can see she makes you happy." He commented and Orlando nodded.

The man thought back to the therapy sessions he had and a man he met at the place, who showed him that he must never block his children's happiness more especially if you have only one child. You needed to support him and love him and not try to shield him from what you think is harm all the time.

"Your dad came here to tell you he will be leaving you alone and I just wanted to see you baby. And I am glad I met the girl who managed to get under your skin and make you happy. I am glad you have left that evil little girl that tried to kill you." Grandmother commented finishing up her juice.

"Yeah, mom is right son; I shouldn't have reacted like that. Couples have sex all the time I guess and if your assistant is who your heart wants then I will be there for you and her." Adrian told his son and it was such a surreal moment for Orlando to hear that, warmed his heart.

Two weeks later;

"My boobs are very sore hey, it feels like someone is twisting them." Diamond complained the minute she woke up. Orlando was getting ready for work, he had a very important meeting outside town and Diamond was not in the mood to work.

"yesterday you were complaining about being tired and thinking you were coming down with flue, now this and you were sick last week and yet you haven't visited a doctor, do you want me to make a house call?" the man asked, knotting his black tie.

Diamond shook her head; she was worried about what the doctor will tell her. Hell she knew what it was she just did not want confirmation.

Orlando left after eating breakfast with his woman and Diamond left two hours later to the office.

Right before knock off time, her mother called her as promised. The two have been talking lately and Diamond confided in her mother of her predicament.

"Have you told him yet?" her mother asked on the other side of the line.

"No mom, what do I say? Hey Orlando I think I may be pregnant? No mom, we never even spoke about having children. What if he isn't ready? Hell I am not even ready myself." Diamond told her mother not realizing that Orlando was at the door of his office, dead in his tracks.

She was sitting on his chair facing the window when Orlando walked in from working outside the office. There were some few things he wanted to do before calling it a day in his office and also to see his woman, but what he heard shocked him.

The woman he loved with all his heart could be pregnant and she was afraid to tell him as she didn't know how he'd react. That made no sense to him. He expected her to confide and trust in him, he was not in a relationship with her for games and to push time. He saw a future with her.

"Try me." He spoke up causing Diamond to spin around on the chair, her cell-phone still pressed to her ear.

"Mom I will call you back." She hung up so fast and stood from the chair. "Hey..." She had no idea what to tell him.

"Barry... did I ever give you the impression that I am not in this for the long haul? That includes children and marriage. I don't know; do you think that if we keep having unprotected sex such will never happen?" he asked, his tone hard.

Diamond couldn't take it anymore, she burst into tears. "I am sorry, I just got scared." And everything started to make sense. Her constant crying and mood swings. The weight gain and the weird pickle cravings.

"Heey I am sorry, I didn't mean to yell. It just frustrates me that you were afraid to tell me this. I want you to be able to tell me everything okay?" she nodded like a small child. Cradling her to his chest, Orlando kissed the top of her head. "Let's go get you checked out."

"What if I am not pregnant?" she asked as she detected hope in his voice. He wanted this.

"Then we aren't pregnant my love. But if we are then we are."

Took me a while to finish this, the ending isn't so ideal but I wanted to wrap it all up. The couple's journey ends here; sweet Orlando saved Diamond from herself with nothing but love and affection.
