One day in Griffin Rock, Doc Greene was testing out his invention: The solar car, unfortunately it got out of control as he tries to stop it, but to no avail as he drives through the streets. He knocks out a newspaper dispenser as the one of the newspapers fly off of it. He had recently call the Rescue Team about his situation "Can I call you back? This isn't a really good time" he said.

"I can see that, Doc" Chief said as he and Chase are pursuing him "My solar car is out of control" Doc explained as he hits the accelerator, but it didn't work "The darn thing won't shut off" he said "The accelerator is stuck, the steering system seems to have a mind of its own" Doc explained as he tries to get the car to turn to avoid crashing into something or someone. Chief and Chase keep chasing Doc's out of control car as they keep turning in different directions of the streets. "And I'm getting a little carsick" Doc said.

Chief calls the others on the comm "All right team, you heard the doc. Let's do what we do" he explained "The vehicle has turned south onto March Lane" Chase said as they head towards where solar car is heading. Meanwhile, Dani, Cody, and Blades were following Chief and Chase "Hey, how about we drop down and bounce on his roof to slow him down?" Dani suggested "Helping out is good; dropping's okay; bouncing, I'd like to discuss a little further" Blades said "Dani, you two just keep an eye on things from up there" Chief said as Dani sighed with dismay as Cody watches over the streets with his binoculars "Doc's now on Waverly" Cody said as the solar car is heading towards some parked cars "heading right towards some parked cars" he said.

"Roger that, I'm on it" Kade said as he and Heatwave are heading to Waverly "I think you mean we're on it, don't you?" Heatwave stated "Just get us there Heatwave" Kade said as Doc yelps when he saw the parked cars that he is heading towards as Heatwave and Kade arrived as Heatwave transforms into his robot mode "Gah!" Doc yelped as he braced to be crashed until Heatwave uses his ladder as a ramp causing Doc's car to go over the parked cars. The solar car landed and continued driving as Heatwave reattaches his ladder and resumes chasing.

Doc Greene sighed with relief from crashing the parked cars as Cody watches with him through the binoculars "Doc's back on Main Street" he said "You know if I were a ground unit, I try to pop Doc's tires" Blades suggested "Good idea, Blades. Guys, I'll go back to the station and get a spike strip then we can--" Dani explained as Graham interrupted her "No need Dani, Boulder and I can improvise" he said as Boulder is driving on the mud as Graham exits out of Boulder and Boulder transforms into his robot mode covered in mud.

Graham sees three spools of barbed wires as he shows a diagram of the streets on his tablet "What do you think? Feasible?" Graham asked as Boulder kneels down to take a closer look "A thing of beauty" he said as walks towards the barbed wires and picks up a sewer lid and throws it like a frisbee as it hits the sign causing it to knocked out one of the spools as it rolls over making a trail of barbed wires. The solar car drives towards the barbed wires as the tires hit it causing it to lose air as Graham and Boulder thought it worked, but the tires regenerated themselves as the car continues to keep moving "Well, at least I know the automated tire replacement works" Doc said.

Cody watches the solar car heading somewhere as he spotted a busted bridge "Oh no! Doc's on Old Canyon Road" he said as they keep up with Doc "Blades, can you stop Doc's car if we land in front of it?" Dani asked "Beats dropping and bouncing" Blades replied "No Dani, stay in the air, Chase and I are closing in" Chief said as they catch up to Doc's car as Chase transforms into his robot mode and grabs the solar panel as he tries to stop the car while being dragged. They headed towards the busted bridge as Chase successfully stop it.

Chase pulls the car away from the bridge as the car is finally stopped, Chief Burns exits out of Chase, while Chase's ped are smoking from the dragging as Chief approaches Doc "It's alright Doc, you can let go of the wheel now" he said as Doc's hands shake and complied as prints were made on the wheel from his hard grip. Doc places his hands behind his back and sighed "All in all, except for the part where I couldn't stop or steer, not a bad test run" he explained "Uh, yeah" Chief stated.

Outside of the Firehouse...

Huxley Prescott is doing his news report "An out of control vehicle, an unsuspecting public, disaster in the making, how did our brave family of heroes save Griffin Rock yet again?" Huxley explained as his camera bot turns to the Burns siblings "Kade Burns?" Huxley asked as Kade crosses his arms and answers with pride "Guts, that's what it takes to stare down a runaway car with nothing, but a ladder. It was harrowing, but I dug deep and--" before Kade could finish his sentence as Huxley goes to Graham "Graham, anything to add?" he asked "Well, um in order to create a makeshift tire hazard. I had to calculate the distance between--"  before Graham could finish his sentence as Huxley goes to Dani "And how did you contribute Dani?" he asked as Dani is hesitant because she didn't do anything to stop the car "Me? I--" she stuttered as Kade puts his arm around Dani's shoulder "Ah, Dani monitors everything from the air, I tell you I couldn't do our job without my little sis" Kade explained as he pinches Dani's cheek in a teasing manner.

"We probably could, but--" Kade said as he chuckles as Dani chuckles sheepishly as she leaves with disappointment passing Cody as Kade resumes the interview "As I was saying a rescue of this type requires a lot of skill and concentration" Kade explained as Cody watches Dani leaving.

At the backyard of the Firehouse...

Heatwave and Blades are cleaning Boulder as Chase is buffing his peds from being dragged by the solar car "You know if there's mud to be found, Boulder's gonna roll right through it" Heatwave said using his water jets to spray the mud off of Boulder "I'm part tractor. It's what I do" Boulder said "I believe there must be a more efficient way to halt a runway car than skiing behind it" Chase said as Cody and Hot Shot appeared "There sure is, keeping Doc Greene out of the driver's seat" Cody said as Boulder chuckles while Blades hands Cody the cleaning brush "Gotta love the Doc, keeps us busy" Boulder said as Cody scrubs him.

Blades sighs with disappointment "Some of us, others only watch from the sky" Blades said "Ah, don't feel bad, Blades. Maybe, our next rescue will happen in the air" Cody reassures as Blades sighs "That would be nice as long as it's not too high in the air" Blades said "What's it matter who does what? None of us is appreciated" Heatwave said as Cody stops scrubbing Boulder "What do you mean, Heatwave?" Cody asked "Did you notice that I was the one out there risking the hook and ladder, but Kade took all the credit once again" Heatwave explained.

"Well, I don't always get thanked for helping either, neither does Dani. But, I know we're appreciated" Cody said "Something tells me, Dani would not agree with you" Blades said "Come on, is there something that your siblings agree to one of your opinions?" Hot Shot asked.

At nighttime in Doc Greene's lab...

Dani enters his lab to see him "Doc? Are you here?" she asked as Doc pulls Dani away from an incoming newspaper as the door closes as he and Dani hide behind the table being use as a shield "I'm sorry Dani, I'm building a replacement for the newspaper dispenser I ran over" he explained as they poke out as the newspaper dispenser shoots a newspaper heading towards them as they ducked "One the beats readers in the heads?" she said "Oh nnnnno, one that tosses papers into your car as you drive by" Doc explained as the newspaper dispenser keeps tossing papers.

"Anyway, I'm glad you're here, I wanted to thank you for your help today" Doc said "Well, I didn't do much, but that's all gonna change" Dani said as she shows Doc a drawing of helicopter with a scoop claw "Can you build me one of these?" Dani asked "Ah, a scoop claw, you know they used something like this on the island years ago for logging. Might even have one in storage" Doc explained "Could you lend it to me?" Dani asked as they hear the newspaper hitting the table "Absolutely, right after that thing runs out of Sunday Editions" he said as he and Dani poked out and then ducked as the dispenser throws another paper. As they wait for the dispenser to run out of newspapers.

The next morning on the Firehouse...

Cody slides down the pole as he is in the garage as he saw Dani attaching a scoop claw on Blades "Hey, Dani what are you doing?" Cody asked "Cody, I beg of you, talk some sense into your sister, please" Blades said "Relax Blades, you're looking good" Dani reassured "Hardly noticeable" Boulder said "Yeah, just don't fly over any power lines" Heatwave teased as he chuckles "Actually that is sound advice" Chase said "What is that thing?" Cody asked "A scoop claw and it's gonna put Blades and me into the action. Right, Blades?" Dani explained as she pats him "So you keep telling me" Blades muttered "Time to winch it up, hand me the remote, please" Dani said as Cody picks up the remote "I can do it" Cody said as Dani jumps off the scoop claw "I don't know, it's a little complicated" she said as she pushes the button as the scoop claw moves close to Blades' undercarriage.

"Yeah, pressing a button is so tricky" Cody said sarcastically as Dani rubs Cody's head "I just wanted it done right little brother. Let's see you transform with it, Blades" Dani said as she pushes the pedals that hold Blades high lowers him down. "Nobody laugh" Blades said as he transforms into his robot mode "Ah, I love it" Dani exclaimed "I have to show, Dad" she said as she leaves the garage.

Boulder and Heatwave just looked at Blades and laughed "What? Does it make me look fat?" Blades asked as the scoop claw is now attached to his tank "Oh, not at all, Captain Leadbelly" Heatwave answered with a tease "Come on, don't make fun of him" Cody said "Yeah, Blades is new to his upgrade" Hot Shot added "Ah, he knows we're joking, sort of" Heatwave said as he and Boulder laughed, much to Cody and Hot Shot's anger "Maybe, Blades just wants to be treated like he matters" Cody said as he and Hot Shot leave the garage with a huff. "Oh, oh, come on, Cody, we're just--" Heatwave said as he had no words to say "You guys never know when to stop do you?" Heatwave said as the alarm is made "Cody, get to the Command Center" Chief Burns ordered "We have a rockslide to deal with" as Cody immediately heads to the Command Center as Hot Shot follows him. The Rescue Team leave the firehouse.

Rescue Team arrived as one of the rocks smashed a window of the building. The three Rescue Bots transform into robot mode as they walked up the mountain smashing every incoming boulders into small pieces, Heatwave jumps and smashes the boulder as Boulder and Chase continue smashing the boulders. "Dani, what's your 20?" Chief asked "We need all hands" he said "Blades and I are almost there" Dani said.

At the Commander Center...

"Cody, can you see what's coming down the hillside at us?" Chief asked "Stand by" Cody said as he checks at the other monitor and saw a big boulder falling down "A boulder as big as a house is coming right on top of you" Cody said as he watches the boulder rolling towards the Rescue Team.

Back at the hillside...

The Rescue Bots were watching the boulder rolling towards them "A house? Sounds like the whole neighborhood" Boulder said "The way I see it we have two options: smash it or grab it?" Chief said "Smash it" Heatwave said "On three" Heatwave said as the boulder comes close to them "One, two," Heatwave counted as they were about to smash it until Blades grabs it with his scoop claw "Three" Blades said and takes the boulder away as the Rescue Bots stared with disbelief. Cody and Hot Shot saw it from the monitor "Whoa" Cody exclaimed "Yes, go Blades!" Hot Shot shouted "Stand down, boys. Blades and I have it under control" Dani said "Nice job, Dani...you too, Blades" Chief exclaimed "That was certainly unexcepted" Graham said as he is surprised  by this move "Though impressive" he said "Yeah, yeah, but, since when do we not test the new apparatus before using it?" Kade asked "Consider the test today, Grumpy" Dani replied with a tease "See you back home" she said as she and Blades take the boulder somewhere else.

Heatwave sighs "There will be no living with Blades now" Heatwave said.

At the Firehouse....

Blades (in robot mode) returned after he and Dani relocated the boulder as he took the elevator taking him to the garage as Blades pats his scoop claw "Blades, that was so cool! How did you know you could pull that off?" Cody exclaimed "I didn't really I-I thought the boulder would be too heavy, but then I tapped into a reserve of strength I didn't think I had" Blades confidently explained. "I'm trying to tap into a reserve of patience I don't think I have" Heatwave grumbled "I have for record that Blades that operation exceeded the acceptable level of risk" Chase added "Guys, you should be happy for him, it was a great save" Cody said "Sure, was, we could have been flattened out there, so thank you Blades for coming to our rescue" Boulder said "Anytime" Blades replied with a bow. Heatwave rolls his optics and groaned.

The next day...

Cody and Hot Shot are at the Command Center, Cody glances at a screen of a fallen tree blocking the road as Graham and Boulder were about to remove the tree until Blades and Dani showed up and picked up the tree with the scoop claw. Next, a fire on the grasslands as Kade and Heatwave were about to put out the fire until Dani and Blades put of the fire with the scoop claw that is carrying the water as Heatwave and Kade got wet in the process much to the anger of the two as Heatwave growls. At the town, Chief Burns exits out of Chase after pulling over a speeder and approaches him, but the speeder drives away and chuckles as Chase drives to Chief's side.

Chief Burns enters Chase and was about to put his seatbelt on,  but he hears the speeder yelps as Blades and Dani appeared holding the speeder's car with the scoop claw and brought him back to Chief Burns.

At the Firehouse...

Cody and his brothers watched this on the news as they listen to Huxley "And there you have it another thrilling rescue by Dani Burns and her helicopter-bot" Huxley exclaimed as Cody hears a helicopter approaching as he checks the window as it is Dani and Blades arriving home. Cody turns to his brothers "Okay, if you yell, she's just gonna yell back" Cody explained as Graham got up from the couch "We're not mad, Cody. We only want to talk to her" Graham said as Kade got up from the couch "No, I'm mad" Kade said as Dani is walking down the stairs "She's just trying to help" Cody said "Helping is one thing, hogging every mission is another" Kade explained as Dani approaches her brother.

"Hey, slackers! Rescue work has never been this much fun am I right? Woo!" she exclaimed putting her arms up in triumph then she noticed her brothers expressions and puts her arms down "Something wrong?" she asked as Graham clears his throat "Uh, Dani? We're concerned you might be stretching yourself a little thin" Graham said "What he means is stop hijacking our rescues" Kade said as this irritated Dani "Your rescues?" she said "Uh, yeah, you're some swooping in like some hot shot and I'm not talking about the kid bot" Kade said.

"Actually, I think I'm doing a pretty good job" Dani said placing her hands on her hips "Except it's not your job, Dani. It's all of ours" Kade said "Well, if you ask me there's always room for--" Cody suggested as Dani interrupted him "Oh, Cody please this doesn't really concern you" she said much to Cody's disappointment "Where's Dad? What's he say about this?" Dani said as Cody leaves the living room "Hey, you know Dad, he wants us to work this out ourselves" Graham said.

At the Bunker...

As Cody went down to the Bunker and saw Heatwave holding a drill at Blades as Boulder and Chase are next to Heatwave while Hot Shot is between "Hand over that claw Blades, I promise you won't feel a thing" Heatwave said as Cody approaches them "Cody, a little help please?" Blades said "This doesn't concern Cody" Heatwave said as this annoyed Cody "Really? You guys too?" he said "You're not the only one who's been told that it's not your concern" Hot Shot said "Heatwave wants that claw remove I tried to reason with him, but Heatwave said 'this doesn't concern you, Hot Shot' " Hot Shot explained as he mimics the last part with Heatwave's voice in a mocking tone "Right?" Hot Shot asked in his normal voice with a glare.

"Uh, we were just thinking that it might be best if the claw isn't used quite so often" Boulder explained "Nobody had a problem when it was a big joke, but now I'm saving the day" Blades explained "Technically, you're not saving the day, you're assisting the day when the day has not requested assistance" Chase corrected "That claw is staying right where it is" Dani said as she is in the bunker "Blades, we're going back on patrol where we are appreciated" she said as she leaves the bunker "Excuse me, I'm needed on the field" Blades said as he follows Dani. Heatwave turns to Cody and Hot Shot "What are you gonna do about this Cody?" he asked "Nothing like everybody says this doesn't concern me, right?" Cody said "And I'm not making him doing this either" Hot Shot added as Cody sighs "Fine, I'll see what I can do, Dani hold on, I'll be your spotter" Cody said as he runs towards Dani "I'm coming with you guys" Hot Shot said as he follows them.

"Keep your eyes peeled, Cody and you too, Hot Shot" Dani said "Okay, with luck we can take care of any problems before Kade or Graham even learn about them" she explained "You know the saying 'the whirly bird gets the worm'" Blades said "I liked you all better when you were on the same team" Cody said "Me too" Hot Shot said "We're still a team, Cody and Hot Shot, it's just-- sometimes Kade and Graham think I can't do anything on my own" Dani explained "Yeah, I know the feeling" Cody said.

"What do you mean?" Dani asked "You kind of treat me the same way" Cody replied "Oh, Cody. I do not...do I?" Dani wondered "Yeah, you do and then every time Kade or Graham made you mad, I have to stay out of your way" Cody explained "You think I take out my anger on you?" Dani asked "Cody speaks the truth, take it on someone whose controls get a furious workout when you're mad" Blades explained "And when he tries to settle down your arguments with your brothers in a reasonable way, you just dismissed him" Hot Shot added.

As Dani felt bad for how she treated Cody "Cody, I'm sorry, I'll do better I promise" she said as this lightens up Cody "Thanks" he said "And you too, Blades. I'll go easier on the controls" Dani said as she turns to Hot Shot "I'm glad Heatwave decided to keep you Hot Shot, you and Hot Shot make a great team together" Dani said "Thanks, Dani" Hot Shot said "Hmm, this conversation has been very cleansing hasn't it?" Blades said "Oh, and that 'whirly bird gets the worm' really clever" Hot Shot said as they hear thunder and lightning flash "We better head back. Electrical storms and Aeronautics do not mix" Dani said as Blades turns around until a lightning stroke Blades' tail rotors as he began to fall "I'm losing altitude, hang on!" Blades said.

Dani contacts the others "Mayday, mayday, Dad! Kade! Graham! Is anyone there?" Dani exclaimed "Dani, Dani what's wrong?" Chief asked "Hit by lightning, forced to land, Cody and Hot Shot are with me" Dani explained "What is your location?" Chief asked, but Dani didn't respond "Dani, tell me where you are?" he said "Redline Cliff" Dani answered "Rescue Bots, Roll to the Rescue!" Heatwave said as their partners entered inside them as they leave the Firehouse to head towards Dani's position.

Meanwhile...

Dani, Cody, and Hot Shot exit out of Blades as they examine Blades' tail rotors "Don't worry, I'm sure it looks worse than it feels" Blades said as he transforms into his robot mode then he feels the pain "Actually no, it hurts" Blades said "Just take it easy, Blades" Cody said "Yeah, help will be here soon" Dani said as they hear thunder as lightning strikes a tree as it causes a forest fire "We can't stay here which way to the road?" Cody asked as the four looked at the cliff as Dani points it "And maybe we should ride out the fire inside Blades" Dani suggested "Hot Shot and I can handle the heat, but you two would bake inside me like snickerdoodles" Blades explained.

"So that cliff is our only way out?" Cody asked "We don't have the equipment to scale it" Dani said as Cody glances at Blades' scoop claw "Sure we do" he said. Cody, Dani, and Hot Shot entered Blades as he uses his scoop claw as a grappling hook. He swings his scoop claw and throws it. The scoop claw opens as it is secure between two rocks, Blades tests it if its tight enough to climb on "Here we go activate the winch" Blades said as Cody tries to give the remote to Dani "You do it" she said as Cody pushes the button as the winch pulls in as Blades climbs up the cliff. However, the lug nut on the scoop claw begins to go loose as Blades made it to the top the scoop claw gets detached as Blades holds his balance as he tried not to fall and succeed "Everyone all right?" he asked "Yes, nice job, Blades" Dani said then she gasped "Yeah, but now what? Look" Cody said as the flames are getting bigger.

"Well, that's a problem" Blades said as Dani tries to contact the others "Dad do you read me? Kade? Graham?" Dani asked as she gets no response "That power surge must have fried it" she said "I'll try flying again" Blades suggested as he transforms into his vehicle mode and flies, but he spins around "No Blades! Stop, you're hurt" Cody said as Blades stops and lands back "I'm sorry" Blades said "Don't be everything will be all right" Dani said as she and Cody removed their helmets "The team will find us" she said.

The Rescue Bots arrived at the forest as they the cliff and fire. Chase catches something and shows it to Chief as he found Blades "I see them, Heatwave, Kade lead the way" Chief said as the Rescue Bots stopped "You heard the chief Bots, let's grow some legs" Heatwave said as they transform into their robot modes. Heatwave uses his water jets to put out the fire to create a trail as they continued walking.

Meanwhile...

The flames had catch up to the cliff as the heat of the flames are making Dani and Cody feel hot as they are sweating. Dani and Cody were panting for fresh air "Now I know how the snickerdoodles feel" Dani said "Blades, you might have to transform, so we can make a run for the road" Cody said "I'm sorry, I'd have to tell you this but I can't move. I must be more damage than I thought" Blades said as the fire is going closer to them. Cody, Dani, and Hot Shot hold each others' hands ready for their fate. Suddenly, water drops appeared then water spray then the three Rescue Bots appeared through the smoke as Chief Burns appeared on the screen "Is everyone all right?" he asked "We are, thanks to Blades" Dani answered "But, he's injured Dad, bad, he can't transform" Cody explained. "He won't need to" Heatwave said as he, Chase, and Boulder carry Blades as they carefully walk down the hillside of the cliff.

At the Bunker...

Cody, Hot Shot, and the Rescue Bots are watching the news "Dani, how did you feel being a rescuer in need of rescue?" Huxley asked "I felt lucky to be a part of such a brave family of heroes and that includes my little brother Cody" Dani said as Cody smiles "Thanks Dani" he said "And we couldn't do any of what we do without our amazing, amazing rescue vehicles" Dani said as Boulder gives Heatwave a nudge "See that Heatwave? We're officially appreciated" Boulder said "She could have mentioned us by name" Heatwave said as Chase turns to Blades, who came out of the secret room "Blades, how are you feeling?" he asked "Much better, thank you. Spend an hour in the stasis pod and I'm ready for action" Blades explained.

"Only an hour then where have you been all afternoon?" Cody said "Dani and I were retrieving the scoop claw from the cliff" Blades explained as Heatwave sighed with annoyance "You're still gonna use that thing?" Boulder asked "Only when we need it which hopefully won't be too often that claw is so uncomfortable" Blades said as he pats his tanks "And you know what else your waistline looks better too" Heatwave said "Thank you for noticing" Blades said as they began to laugh as Cody leaves the bunker.

He goes to the backyard to join his family who are playing basketball.
