Solin in Wonderland Pt. 1
Okay, so this is an Au where Seek is the son of the Mad Hatter and Colin is the son of the Big Bad Wolf. Colin ears and tail but he is not a frickin Neko! Sorry wanted to make that clear because I have seen way too many people do that to the characters and misconcept it.
Colin is by no means a bad guy and Seek isn't crazy more so Chaotic.
Now that this is done on the story!
Colin's Pov
------------------------------
I was running as fast as I could, and I could hear their footsteps thundering throughout the forest. They were gaining on me and I was already exhausted. They had been chasing me for the last 2 hours without giving an inch.
"Why must humans be so stubborn!?" I thought to myself as small branches whipped my legs and arms. I panted as my lungs lost air and my legs were screaming at me to stop, but I couldn't. I heard something whizz past my head, I could hear a loud thud resound nearby. I glanced at the origin of the noise and see an arrow. I feel my eyes widen in fear and pick up my pace, they are shooting at me!
I kept running until I was in an unfamiliar part of the woods, it was darker and had more gloom to it than the rest of the woods. I guess the hunters didn't like this part of the forest because as soon as I reached this part of it they backed off.
I let out a loud sigh of relief and begin to wander around the new surrounding, I was somewhat relaxed in the new setting, little did I know my whole world was about to be turned upside down literally.
I was swallowed up by a giant hole that went on for miles. It felt as though I was falling for eternity. Books, cards, clocks, and even whole tea sets were in this place with me, it was a place filled with wonder. And as beautiful as I might've been, all I wanted to do was get out!
And with that, though the never-ending tunnel plopped me out in a random place, it was colorful a bright in some areas, but dark and gloomy in others. I took in my surroundings and watched as an enormous beast tread through the forest. I didn't want to disturb it so I climbed up into a tree, yet somehow I ended back at the roots of the problem, instead of going up I went down.
I was baffled by this, it was so strange yet in a way so was the place I was in, I'd never see trees with blue and purple leaves there were even a few with pink leaves! It was endearing in a way, I smiled at the thought of finding more intriguing wonders and decided if I couldn't bed down in a tree, I'd take in more of my surroundings later. It was amazing all of the strange animals and plants I'd never seen before, I was stoked! I walked around the brightly colored woods taking in the details.
"I'm Late!" I could hear someone shouting in the distance, I put up the yellow hood that I was wearing under my red flannel and started to tread quietly in that direction.
Off in the distance, I could hear a cheery tune playing it's was strange yet pleasant, it had a ring to it, I could hear something like a tuba and a flute but there wasn't much else besides some singing, I couldn't quite hear the lyrics yet so I decided to get closer to the origin of the melody.
As I approached the origin of the music I could smell frosting and butter. There was a light aroma of cinnamon and apples in the air, and it made my mouth water it had been a while since I'd last eaten and I could feel my empty stomach growl. I decide to take on a less noticeable form and walk around in that, it was easier to get closer but now the music was starting to hurting my ears. It was a great deal louder in this form but it still had that cheery tune to it that made it hard to stop listening to. I was close enough to hear the lyrics now and quite odd lyrics they were!
Have a very merry unbirthday to you~
To me?~
Yes you~
Let's all gather around and share a cup of tea~
Have a very merry unbirthday to you~
The melody was quite nice albeit strange, and the voices were cherry and filled with happiness and a little tiredness. I wonder how long they've been partying. It sounded like they were having a lot of fun with it. It makes me wonder how long it's been since I've heard such cheer, maybe a few months a few years. I'm not exactly well-liked by people, but who would like the son of the big bad wolf?
As I approached the gathering I was careful to not draw attention to my presence and observe the people there. They were each silly and quirky in their own way, one of them kept avoiding questions by repeating a previous question and another was dancing on the table with a gleeful smile. Many of them did not look human and even held more animalistic features and complexions.
It was different and not something I was used to, but that's what made it all the more wonderful to watch. There were only two people who appeared human, a man with orange eyes and clownish makeup with an elongated hat, the hat had a purple ribbon that held many items, such as a card, some needles, and a feather.
The boy to his right had deep black hair and bright green eyes. He had this reddish bronze eyeshadow on and what appeared to be eyeliner. He was wearing a pair of black shorts that went to his knees and had a green dress shirt that had these orange floral patterns sewn into it.
It was one of the most eye capturing designs I had ever seen and I could myself staring at the boy longer than it should to analyze someone. I found it hard to tell what working-class these people were part of by their outfits. It was different for most but I decided to take a look around the table, without getting any closer circle around it. On the two chairs where the humans sat were waistcoats, they look quite nice but I noticed the older man had a more velvet-like coat compared to the younger. The boy had a maroon waistcoat with no pattern on it while the older man had a dark purple one with a leaf pattern in the velvet.
I padded down in some of the taller grass, hoping to stay unnoticed till the party was over, I rested my head in my paws and released a long drawn out breath before closing my eyes to finally rest.
Seek's Pov
------------------------------
I had been drinking the halved cups of tea and joking around with the door mouse, who had been kind enough to bring these delicious apple tarts, we had been all chattering and singing for quite some time before something caught my eye, I could see an animal I had never seen before, it had these fox-like features and seemed more doggish but yet it's intelligent eyes held more mystery to the beast that had been creeping around our tea party, I saw the creature bed down behind a log just outside of the tea party, I got up and excused myself from the table.
I carefully walked on the soft earth around the area where I had last seen the beast. I looked around not seeing any trace of where it could've gone, I decided to walk around just in case I'll be able to catch a glimpse of it.
What I didn't expect was the giant thing to jump on top of me. It had been hiding out in a tree just above the tall grass, Wonderland's physics tend to put one thing somewhere else.
From what I could tell the great beast was a male, but an angry one at that. It was growling lowly at me and seemed to be glaring at something. It jumped off me and charged at something, or rather someone, who had let out a blood-curdling scream.
I guess it was a dangerous creature, after all, I had walked too far from the party to get back without attracting the beast's attention. I sat up and contemplated whether I should run or not, unfortunately, I wasn't quick enough, the beast had returned and was now staring at me intently.
He tilted his head to the side and had begun walking towards me, I scooted backward in fear of losing my legs. At this motion, the beast's ears flattened on its head, it looked up at me once again, and this time instead of curiosity they held sadness.
It didn't seem to want to harm me at least not at the moment, so I sat up again and this time just took some time to take in its features. It had an almost glossy coat of orangish-brown fur and intelligent green eyes that brightened in the sunlight, I also noticed a scar it had on its muzzle and hind leg.
When it seemed to notice that I wasn't scared anymore it took a hesitant step towards me, then another, and another, till it was in front of me. It got a little closer to me and seemed to sniff me a little bit before sitting down next to me in a seemingly relaxed position.
"Heh, you sure are interesting, aren't you." They had looked over to me and gave me a look that resembled someone raising their eyebrow. And all I could do was laugh, though I do wonder who made that scream.
"Who was screaming? I know it wasn't one of my friends but still."
The beast's ears flattened to its head and it let out a snarl, whatever had been screaming was something it clearly didn't like.
"Okay, no need to get your knickers in a knot!" I playfully shouted.
It stared at me before shaking its head and letting out a gruff wheeze.
Before I could say anything it looked back over to me with a slight twinkle in its eyes.
I stared at them for a bit before asking a simple question, "Who are you?"

Colin's Pov
------------------------------
I had opened my eyes to find myself in the same tree I had attempted to climb into earlier.
I honestly almost fell out of it so I had to quickly shift into my human form, well humanish.
I still had some traits from my wolf even in this form, such as my tail and ears, though my eyes were by far the most intriguing.
I looked around my surroundings and remembered I was nowhere near the tea party that I had bedded down by, I almost jumped down from the tree when I heard the snapping of twigs and the brush of leaves. I looked down and saw the boy from the party. 'How had he ended up here?' I wondered silently as he crept around the area.
Something else caught my attention rather quickly though, a scent, the scent of one of the hunters from earlier. I looked around quickly and saw that he was hiding behind a tree close by to the boy.
I quickly shifted and jumped from the tree and onto the boy below, knocking him to the ground before letting out a low defensive growl. I hopped off of him for a second and jumped at the man hiding, he screamed before I hit his head on a rock. The scream was quite loud and had hurt my ears in the process but the hunter was at least unconscious now.
I walked back over to the slightly frazzled boy only for him to cower by the tree.
"I messed up again..." I thought quietly, this was one of many times I was trying to help but ended up scaring someone. I felt my ears droop and put my head down a bit, I didn't want to scare him anymore. I was about to turn to leave when I heard some movement.
The raven-haired boy had sat up and was now looking at me, his eyes seemed to be analyzing if I was a threat or not, so I stood still for a few minutes observing him in the process, before taking a step towards him. He didn't back away this time, so I took another one and another until I was right in front of him. I sniffed him a little bit, I wanted to know his scent for future reference and it was different, he smelled of tea and apple pie, it was a nice scent to have, definitely one of the more pleasant ones. I glanced up at him and noticed a detail I had missed from my earlier observation of him, he had these small earrings, they were shaped like little clovers. It was kinda cute, to be honest.
I ended up seating myself next to him and looking up to him. He seemed to be just as curious as me, and it was nice that he wasn't as scared of me anymore.
"You sure are interesting, aren't you." The raven-haired boy had looked over to me with a slight smile. I wanted to question him but it would be a risk, he gave me a weird yet intrigued look and laughed.
And then came another question, he was asking about the scream, but he didn't seem that worried. All I could think of was the bolt that had been locked in the crossbow and let out a snarl of disgust.
"Okay, no need to get your knickers in a knot!" He half-shouted with a smile.
I managed to let out a laugh in this form but it was an odd one for sure. The boy seemed to be observing me again, before asking one question that caught me off guard.
"Who are you?"
Seek's Pov
------------------------------
The beast had tensed up at the question and looked over to me, and then at its paws as though he was thinking before it stood upon its legs and walked behind the tree.
I stood up as well but when I walked behind the tree in place of the beast was a ginger-haired boy, he had bright green eyes that shone like emeralds. The boy looked up to me and smiled.
"My name's Colin! It's nice to meet you!" He- Colin smiled and put his hand out for a handshake which I accepted.
"We're you that beast?" I was a little dumbfounded, Colon nodded his head.
"Yeah! But I'm a wolf, not a beast silly!" He smiled at me and let go of my hand.
"Well, then Colin my name is Seek! It's a pleasure to meet you!"
From there on I knew that I was going to enjoy being around Colin.
