I hope you like it, it might be a bit short due to lack of inspiration.

Lucas' pov
------------------------------

I woke up from my hammock once more that night, it was my fifth time waking up in four hours due to a massive headache. I hadn't been going outside my home that much due to it as well and eating was starting to become a problem, I wasn't even hungry because my head was pounding 24/7, and having Galrin nag me about using my magic wasn't helping the process along in fact it was making it a hell of a lot worse.

I could barely sleep and go outside, human interaction became a nuisance, and I was always in a foul mood because of it. I decided that I wasn't going to sit around in bed for this headache to kill me and got out of my hammock, went down the ladder, made some midnight tea, and left the house for a stroll.

Even though I was exhausted from the situation, the cool night air that the island has always managed to calm me down and cease my worries, it even had a slight taming effect on Galrin causing her to rest for a bit. So if I couldn't get rid of the headaches, I could at least lessen my suffering by shutting them up for a few hours.

I took in a deep breath as I walked through David's garden being extremely careful about where I was walking, I didn't want to accidentally walk through the flowerbeds. I stop at Tapio's memorial and just sit there thinking about what we could've done to save the small green feline.

I let out a sigh and walk to the training grounds. It was the perfect place to relax it was close to the sea as well so if I wanted to I could go for a swim. I plopped myself down onto the sand and slowly breathed in the salty air, my body relaxing. I could feel Galrin calming as well, the closer we are to the sea the calmer they tended to be. I don't know if it has something to do with homesickness or what but it keeps them calm and helps me to relax, so it's a win-win situation. What I didn't realize was that there was someone there with me.

Brandon's pov
--------------------------------

I had wandered from my room once more, I had been having these nightmares and flashbacks as of late and they were starting to get to me. I haven't had a proper rest in quite some time, and honestly, I'm surprised no one has mentioned the bags from under my eyes, even Ritchie hadn't said anything but then again he is dealing with his problems at the moment. I couldn't blame him for something he's been too stressed to notice.

I had gone outside into the chill night air. It was a peaceful night and I was sure nothing could've been wrong with my guildmates at the moment, after all, all of them were supposed to be sleeping.

But I was wrong, there was one person on this island that was not asleep. And that person was a particular water mage that had to decide to come outside his house for the first time in an eternity.

I was curious as to why he was up so late, I hadn't seen him at all as of late and I will admit it had me somewhat concerned but he was one of the strongest mages on the island and I knew first hand that he could take care of himself... At least... at most times he could.

I have only ever seen him break down once before, and it wasn't pretty. Compared to the storms I and my brother create then we are upset, his was a literal tsunami. It was a good thing no one but myself was on the island that day otherwise there would have been a big commotion.

I sighed as my thoughts drifted back to the older days of Divinus Magia, things were a lot easier back then and unfortunately, they'd never be like that again. Too much had happened in the time I was gone and my brother is starting to shift back to some of his old behavior, along with that Kit and Lucas were the only ones that ever offered to help me with paperwork as Ritchie kept putting it off, looking for answers that will come naturally down the line.

I looked down on the residential area and saw a certain water wizard and decided I should see what had been bothering the water mage for So long that he hadn't left his home in a week.

I floated down to the entrance of the training grounds and looked around. He was seated near the water, his eyes were shut and he seemed at peace. A good part of me didn't want to wake him but at the same time, I wanted to know what had been bugging him all week.

I let out a sigh of frustration and turned to leave.

I guess he wasn't asleep, because heard him ask, "Who's there?".

I stiffened and let out a sigh, I heard him chuckle and turned around to see him now looking at me.

He had a slight smirk that had crossed his features and his eyes were practically glowing in the light of the moon. I could feel myself staring but shook it off, I walked over to him and sat down, we were very close to the oceans waters. It was peaceful, the chill night air was soothing and the sound of the waves crashing into one another had a lulling effect.

"So what is one of the guild masters of Divinus Magia doing up so late?" I looked over to Lucas to see him raising an eyebrow in question, I might as well answer him.

"Checking on everyone, I saw you and decided to see what was going on. You haven't left your house in quite some time, so what's up with that?" I will admit, I was extremely curious not to mention worried. Our guild had been going through a lot of mental problems and everyone was stressed in their own way.

Lucas seemed to wilt a little when I had asked what was going on and then gave a light chuckle.

"I've been having these really bad headaches, and not to mention Galrin wants me to use her powers but, I'm a little scared, to be honest.
I know she's more or less on my side now and won't erase me but it's not the best feeling to basically welcoming someone to take control of you. You catch my drift?"

Lucas had made several hand motions while talking but I knew how headaches worked but, he stayed in his house for at least a week that sounds more like a migraine. And letting someone control your body part is something I'm all too familiar with.  I let a slight shudder out before looking over at the water mage and nodding. I think he could tell what I was thinking about because he put a hand on my shoulder and massaged it in circular motions. All I could do was look over to him and smile, I didn't know what else I could do as thanks.

We stayed like that for the rest of the night, just sitting and chatting. In the end, we leaned on each other and fell asleep. Unaware that Ritchie had seen the whole exchange and was quietly smirking to himself because this meant that Devin now owed him two beers.

The End

I hope you enjoyed reading this, it might be A bit crappy and short I won't lie. I wanted to make it longer but didn't have a lot of time due to school.
