Ship - Mario x Nad

Mario stared at the trees, watching the leaves flow like water in the wind. Seeing the sun peek out with every shift of the wind. The Raven held two small but beautiful red sweet pea flowers. A smile spread across his face as well as a light blush as he thought of his girlfriend and small, well big, crush. Who was his crush? None other than Nad, the only Norse Demigod in camp. He made his way down the path from his cabin to Kay's. Mario held the flowers close to him as he approached Kay's cabin. His blush heavied slightly as he walked up the steps and to the cabin door.

He took a deep breath and carefully opened the cabin door, it was quite early in the morning so he didn't know if Kay was sleeping still. Mario poked his head through the door. "Hey-" He stopped. Color drained from his face as tears welled up. Sorrow and remorse crept through his mind. 'Was-.... Was I not good enough for her?' There in front of the Son of Zeus, was what he wished to never happen to him or anyone for that matter. Kay was curled up into Soren's side. He watched Soren place a kiss on her forehead and she giggled. Tears streamed down his cheeks as he watched. Mario felt his heart break into pieces as he watched the sense unfold. "Kay...?" The two turned to him. Their eyes widened as they realized they had been caught. Mario's voice cracked as he whimpered. "Mario! I-" The Raven back away towards the door. He sniffled and looked down. Mario remembered his flowers for her and gripped on them tightly. "Shut up..."

"Mario."

"I said... Shut up!" Mario looked at the two with anger and sadness. Soren stared surprised as Kay looked at him in horror. "We... Are. Over. I'm done Kay." He raised his arm and threw the flowers at the ground. Petals gently glided down to the wood floor. "I-I-I'm done..." His voice cracked as he stuttered. Mario turned away and ran out the door, ignoring the calls for him to return.

Nad strolled along the camp. He watched the trees sway with a worry, birds glide overhead without a care. Due to Nad being a pacifist, this was his harmony. A smile spread across Nad's face as he slowly walked along the path, just enjoying the sounds of nature that grew around him. The Gentle Giant stopped and just stood in silence. He shut his eyes and focused on the sounds around. A deep sigh escaped from Nad's mouth as he stood calmly. 'I needed this... After my powers came back at full swing... I need this...' He just stood tall, looking towards the sky. The puff of orange hair gently rested near his eye and shifted with every slight breeze that passed by. He tucked his hands in his shorts pockets and stood. Nad tilted his head so he faced the sky, eyes still shut. His smile shrunk to a grin as he calmed and enjoyed the gentle breeze. Nad felt as if he stood for hours before a set of rapidly approaching footsteps. Confusion flooded his mind as the soft whimpers and weeping came along the person. He opened his eyes and turned. Nad looked over his shoulder to see Mario, racing away from the Greek cabins. He stared as Mario ran towards him. Tears were streaming down his face as Mario's eyes were red and puffy. Showing he had been sobbing harshly. He watched as Mario dashed by him, tripping slightly. 'What the hell?' His eyebrows furrowed as he watched Mario's figure run off into the woods. Nad's eyes widened as he realised the direction Mario ran in. 'Shit! The woods aren't safe alone... I gotta find him!' Without a second thought, Nadard ran into the woods, following Mario as close as possible.

Mario ran off fast. Crushing his flowers that were for Kay under his foot before he left. Mario ran not knowing where he was going, nor having a weapon on him to protect himself. Tears streamed down his face as he sprinted away from the cabins. Down the path was a relatively tall figure, yet Mario couldn't make out who through his teary vision. He shook his head and shut his eyes. His footing fumbled as he ran past the figure. Mario opened his eyes as he ran past the trees. Breathing was getting hard as a panic attack formed whilst running, yet he never stopped. He kept running, dodging branches and jumping over uncovered roots. Mario's mind refused to acknowledge the on coming or following footsteps behind him. His tears stopped but tear streaks stained his cheeks. Mario's chest became tight and difficult to breath. Yet, he ran until he collapsed in front of a large oak tree surrounded by swaying grass and colorful flowers, ranging from shades of red to black. Mario slammed his head against the tree as he fell, cutting part of his forehead open. Blood dripped down his forehead as he gasped for air. A new wave of tears flooded him as hurtful thoughts clouded his mind. No matter how much he gasped for the air that flooded around him, he couldn't seem to get it. The red stream dripped on the ground below him as he doubled over and fell on his knees. He pulled his head to the ground and his knees. Mario flinched when a panicked voice rang out and a hand touched his back.

Nadard ran fast, hot on Mario's trail into the woods. Due to being bigger, around 7 feet tall, He had a harder time running and dodging like Mario was able too, yet he still kept up. When he heard Mario crash into something, he stopped at a tree and gained back his breath. He noticed Mario had fallen to the ground and curled up into a ball. His eyes widened. "Mario!" Nadard turned and ran to him. He kneeled down close and reached out an arm. Nad rested a hand on Mario's back, causing him to flinch. Nad's eyebrows furrowed as he sat down. "Mario?" Mario stayed silent and heaved for air. Nad's eyes widened and quickly pulled him in a tight embrace. The Raven struggled in his arms, speaking through his sobs and panicked breathing. "L-Let me go! D-Damnit..." After a moment or two of struggling, Mario stopped and collapsed into Nad. Nad rocked back and forth slowly, attempting to calm the crying Demigod. Mario sobbed heavily into Nad's shoulder. Nad started running his fingers through Mario's hair in a calming fashion, as well as humming a small tune he heard from a music box.

Mario slowly calmed his breathing as he focused on the tune but still was sobbing, yet not as heavily. Mario curled himself into Nad's embrace as much as he could. He pushed up against Nad's hand as he ran his fingers through the Raven's hair. Mario reached up and pressed a hand against the cut above his eye. He pulled his hand away and curled his other arm to his chest. Mario's fingertips were covered in glistening red blood. He sniffled and rubbed his eyes. Nad noticed the sudden silence and a warm wetness on his shoulder. He looked down at the Son of Zeus and noticed him staring at his fingers, which were covered in blood. "Mario... Are you alright?" Mario flinched as Nad spoke, but what Nad didn't see was the blush spreading across Mario's face. He took a breath and sighed, leaning his head back against Nad. "I'm... Okay I guess... Thanks for helping me.." A smile spread across his face and he tucked his head under Nad's chin. Nad snickered slightly at Mario's cuddliness. Nad pulled Mario from under him and grabbed some bandages from his pocket. Mario's eyebrow raised in question as Nad ripped some off the roll. "What?" Mario laughed a little. "Do you always keep that on you?" Nad nodded. "I get hurt a lot when exploring." Mario nodded but winced when Nad pressed it to the cut. "Sorry." Mario shook his head. "It's okay Nad... You're just trying to help me.." Nad huffed and finished applying the bandage. He leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss to his forehead. Mario blushed heavily and leaned back against Nad, who was apologising for kissing him. Mario placed a hand over Nad's mouth, shutting him up. "It's fine Nadard. I broke up with Kay..." A surprised look crossed over Nad's face. In the end, the two just lay, curled up against the large Oak tree. Just loving the time being spent, cuddling and sharing small kisses and stories.

++++----+++Bonus Chapter Half---++--+-

Nad and Mario strolled around the camp grounds. Slight anxiety loomed over his features. His fear of seeing Kay and breaking down crying grew bigger with each step through camp. Nad noticed his tense form and stopped near a bench. Mario looked up at the tall man in confusion before realization hit him like a ton of bricks. 'He probably sensed how anxious and tense I am... Stupid! Stupid!' As Mario was mentally scolding himself, he hadn't noticed Nad sitting on the old wooden bench. He noticed when Nad pulled him down and into his lap. The Gentle Giant wrapped his arms around Mario and lay his head on top of Mario's. Mario melted into Nad's embrace and snuggled his head under Nadard's chin. Mario hummed in delight and let his worries wash away. Nad inhaled the scent of Mario's hair, tickling his nose and making him giggle slightly. Mario's smile widened at Nad's giggle. He shut his eyes and enjoyed the warm and comforting embrace from his new boyfriend. Mario felt more loved then he did with Kay. Kay had underappreciated him, discouraged him at times, even yelled at him for the smallest things. A small frown crossed his face before Nad pressed a kiss to his temple. Little did they know, a certain half snake was frantically looking for the Raven.
Kay turned sharply around a corner and came to a sudden stop. Her eyes widened as tears welled up. Her hands covered her mouth at the scene a few meters away from her. Tears threatened to spill. She took a deep breath to calm herself before approaching the two. Kay wiped her eyes and composed herself. Quietly, She moved towards them. Nad opened his eyes at the sound of something moving. His eyes widened slightly as he tensed. Mario felt Nad tighten his arms around him as he tensed his muscle, which Mario blushed from. (NOTHING DIRTY IMPLIED YOU DWEEBS) He pulled his head away from Nad's chest and looked up the White and Orange haired Demigod. Mario noticed him staring ahead of him, now changed from wide eyes to a slight glare. He hesitantly turned, anxiety welling up in his chest. Nad gently grasped onto Mario's hand in a comforting manner. Mario calmed down slightly and stared harshly at Kay. "Mario... I wanted to talk..." She glared slightly at the Giant. "Alone please..." Mario huffed in annoyance and leaned back against his boyfriend, anxiety still piled up. He opened his mouth to speak but Nad beat him to it, speaking his mind. "If you have anything to say... Say it while I'm here, cause at the moment, I wanna throw you across camp.." Kay paled slightly and gulped while Mario snickered at her reaction at him. "Well then... Mario... I'm sorry for what you witnessed and I was wondering... could we start again?" Mario deadpanned. Nad looked at her pissed and confused, but mostly anxious about what the small Raven would say. 'Heh... Let's see... I got it!' Mario lifted a hand and placed it over his mouth and under his nose. He furrowed his eyebrows and pretended to think about it. Mario faked an idea-like expression and moved his hand away. He leaned up to Nad's ear and murmured, quiet enough for Kay not to hear, "Watch this... You're gonna laugh.." Nad turned to face with an even more confused expression. He watched as Mario pushed himself up from Nad's lap and walked over to Kay. Mario cleared his throat as Kay stared in confusion. She cocked her head to the side in wonder as they stood ideally. "Well!" Mario spoke loud enough for bystanders to hear, in which they started watching. Mario jabbed a finger in her direction. "You wanna know what my answer is? I say... No you backstabbing motherfucking bitch ass whore!" An angered look crossed his face as he stared harshly at her. She stepped back with a shocked and hurt expression. Mario stood straight and continued his angered yelling. "You cheated on me! With Soren for fucks' sake! We promised to be fucking loyal to each other! But did you do that?! Hell to the fuck no! So That's why I said we're done when I left the Cabin!" Small bolts of lightning flashed over his body, lighting up some areas only for them to dim again. "I'm happy now! I have Nad! And I mean yeah... It's fucked up that I jumped from one relationship to another, but at least I'm fucking loyal!" The bolts grew larger and flashed quicker. Nad quickly stood up and walked over to his seething boyfriend, seeing right through his act. Mario shifted the bolts so they would avoid Nad as the Gentle Giant wrapped his arms around the Raven's shoulders. Kay still stood taken back and tried to not let the sea of whispers around them get to her, yet she was failing miserably. Kay sighed and composed her figure just barely. "Fine... We are done then..." She flashed a glare at Nad, which Mario caught and happily returned, before she spoke again with venom lace thickly within, "Have fun with your little boyfriend." With that she stalked off towards her office, while Nad and Mario walked towards the Asian Pantheon. For the rest of the day, they strolled through the beautiful pantheon and cuddled up under a cherry blossom tree, without a care in the world. A smile, a real smile, made its way onto Mario's features. 'Best. Day. Ever...'

I love this ship a lot! Ever since Mario and the others found Nad sleeping while leaning on the fountain. Most ships I've seen of Nadard is Him and Magnus or Him and Dranne/Drannus. Yet, I LOVE THIS EITHER WAY... Also.... WHO ELSE IS DEPRESSED ABOUT INPU'S EPISODE TODAY??????????? (Spoiler) HE LOST HIS GODDAMN ARM AND HIS SIBLING ALL BECAUSE XYLO WOULDN'T LISTEN TO HIM!!
