"Are you sure, Kay?" The son of aphrodite asked to the nervous camp councilor. She breathed in deeply for a moment as if she was rethinking this desision, but she set her answer.

"Yes." Kay answered. "Look, I know you just got your love bow a few weeks ago but-" Bryan cut her off before she could finish her sentence.

"Your heart is aching and you don't want to be alone on valentines day, right?" Bryan said, he had heard this a million times.

See, his bow was different from Bri's. His bow could sense any love craved soul that made a strong wish to his mother. There are other different qualities too but he'll explain that later.

"Yes." she responded.

"Well...... Alright then. But first- this is really important- did you confess to him yet?" He asked, it was like a job interview but more personal. He really took this cupid business seriously, huh?

"Wh-Why is that so important??" She asked, not wanting to answer the question.

Bryan sighed, he was going to give the the basics of how his bow worked, he did not want his mom to be mad at him again after the whole 'turning evil' thing.

"Look, you know how my bow is different from Bri's, right?" Bryan asked, Kay nodded in response.

"Well here's how it works, now you better be listening carefully because this is important.... So-" Bryan began explaining but right as he did, Kaykrae's mind went somewhere else.

She thought about what she was doing, was using a cupid's bow really the right way to make someone love you? She was questioning herself this.

Occasionally Bryan's words would get through her deep thinking. So far it's been "-shoot-", "-day-", and "-happily ever after-".

She continued to second guess and doubt herself that doing this was alright.

"-important-"

Was this really the way to make him fall in love with her?

"-already-"

Would they really be happy?

"-memory-"

Would he be happy?

"-irreversible-"

Would SHE be happy?!

"-Kay?-"

What if this ruins her life?!

"-Kay!-"

What if this ruins HIS life?!?!

"KAY!" She snapped back into reality by being shook by a concerned Bryan. "Hey, you ok? It looked like you were about to have a panic attack if I'm being honest." he said.

"Uh, yeah. I'm fine. I was just, uh, taking... mental notes..." she responded, she didn't think he would buy it but I guess she underestimated Bryan's gullibility.

"Well alright if you say so...." Bryan said fully believing her. "So like I said, usually the love effects usually takes some time to set in, usually about a day or two, depends on the person."

'When did he say that?' Kaykrae asked herself in her head 'Oh he must of said that while I was zoning out.'

"So who exactly do you want me to shoot the love arrow with?" Bryan asked in a teasing tone, fully knowing
who it was.

"Is it Brick?" He joked but still wanted to throw up and laugh at the thought of the son of hades having a special someone.

"No."

"Is iiiiittttt.... Ritchie?" He joked again.

"No , no. It-its Mario....." She said, a shade of pink quickly dusted over her face.

"Oh my gosh I could never had guessed!" Bryan said sarcastically. But then he made a face that screamed 'Wait, hol up'.

"Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. So uh you already confessed right?" Bryan asked

"Uh, yeah" there goes another lie.

"And he rejected you???????????" Bryan's voice was filled with utter confusion.

"Yup." it seems that she's only been lying through her teeth today, although it technically isn't a lie if it's a half truth.

"How????? He would definitely be the last person in the entire world to reject you!" Bryan said.

Would he really accept her feelings if she confessed?

"Well, it was yesterday afternoon...." she thought about the scene that happened as the sunset appeared for the camp to see.

'Come one Kaykrae you can do this! You've fought countless monsters for pete's sake! Confessing to Mario should be a walk in the park!' she gave herself a pep talk as she saw the son of Zues approaching her.

She walked towards him.

'You can do this! You can do this! You can do this! You can do this! You can do this! You can do this! You can do this!' she repeated those same words in her head as she slithered towards him.

She was about to say something but then he gave her the most awkward yet adorable smile. Oh boi, did her heart just melt.

'You can't do this! You can't do this! You can't do this! You can't do this!'

"Hiykrae!" Mario greeted then immediately realised his mistake

"Hiykrae??" Kay asked, giggling. "I guess I tried to say 'Hi' and 'Kaykrae' at the same time." he joined her in her giggling.

They both had now stopped and looked at each other for what feels like an eternity, both had been blushing the entire time.

"So uh," Mario looked at the tree to his side, Kay didn't notice this. "What's a gal's favourite flowers?" Mario asked.

"What do you mean?" she responded, a smile still on her face.

Mario looked back at the tree on the side and seemed to try and find the right words and it looks like he got it.... Well, kinda.

"Actually, I'm trying to impress someone. For valentines day, I mean" she felt her heart drop at those words. "I'm trying to get her flowers, and maybe you two have the same favourite." he said nervously. He looked to the tree on the side again but this time she saw him look there.

Kay, now curious, looked to the tree as well. She Saw Xylo mouthing the word 'compliment' to one of them. She didn't know what that meant but she continued her conversation with Mario.

"My favourite huh? I guess I really like peony flowers." she said "If you don't mind, who are you planning to impress?" she was trying to retain a smile

Mario went stiff, he looked at Xylo and back to Kay. He responded with "I can't tell you who just yet but I'll describe her to you, she has the most beautiful brown hair and eyes, she's caring, strong and compassionate, and what I love about her most is the fact that even when she faces the worst thing imaginable, she still pushes through to reach her goal." he smiled

"I-I think I'll go for now, I'm a bit tired." she said as she slithered away.

"Oh, ok. Have a good rest." Mario said as he waved her goodbye.

"I-I'd rather not talk about it" Kay mumbled loud enough for Bryan to hear.

"That's understandable. So I guess I'll go ahead and find Mario then huh?" Bryan asked, Kay responded with a nod

The next day

"Have you seen Mario?" Kay asked Jakey. She had been trying to find Mario with the help of Bryan for the past hour."Yeah, he's at the tables near the stage." Jakey responded. "Thank you!" Kay said to him as she slithered toward the direction of the mentioned place.

"Thank you Jakey-poo!~" Bryan cooed to his totally-not-Elsa boyfriend and waved him goodbye as he followed the camp councilor.

'Kaykrae must be really exited for this, huh? Of course she would, she's been crushing on him like crazy since the aphrodite ball event. Should I just call it prom night? Nah, I hosted it so a glamorous and beautiful event such as that deserves much more than being called prom night.' Bryan began rambling to himself. Even in thought, the son of aphrodite still manages to ramble on to no one in particular about how totally amazing he and his  achievements are.

Bryan had told her that the effects should be just taking root now.

"There he is!" Bryan pointed at Mario as he spotted him. Kay immediately flew towards him.

He has something with him although she couldn't see it, he looked to be clutching his head.

"Hey Mario! Are you alright?" Kay greeted.

"Yeah, it's just a headache." he looked up at her, confusion washed over him.

'how does she know my name?' he thought.

"I'm sorry if this may sound rude but, do I know you?" he said

Kaykrae's eyes widened at his words.

"What do you mean? It's me, Kaykrae." Kay looked heart broken

Bryan looked at Mario. 'why is this happening?? This only ever happens when... Oh no, she wasn't listening' Bryan thought to himself.

"Wait are you one of the councillors? I think I remember Ritchie saying something about you. OH! Speaking of Ritchie, I gotta train Austin with him today! I'll see you later!" Before any of them could respond, he dashed off to get his essentials.

Before he could get away far enough, Xylo came out from the tree he was hiding in....

Why was he hiding in a tree again????

Xylo stood in front of Mario and screamed at him.

"WHAT WAS THAT?!?!" he screeched

"What are you talking about??" Mario asked cluelessly

"THE CONVERSATION YOU HAD WITH KAYKRAE! YOU DON'T PRETEND TO FORGET ABOUT SOMEONE WHEN YOU'RE ASKING THEM TO BE YOUR VALENTINE!" his throat would probably hurt later from all this screaming

"Wait, what??" Kay murmured. Her and Bryan were still watching the scene unfold right before them.

"Xylo, I'm not asking someone I just met to be my valentine, I don't even know anything about her." Mario replied.

"WH-" Xylo was about to scream at his face again but stopped. He realized Mario was being serious. He lowered his tone.

"What are you talking about?? You asked her out to the aphrodite ball, she was one of the few people you were comfortable with when you first came here." Xylo said

"First of all, I didn't have a date at the ball, I went alone." Mario said which confused Xylo even more.

"And second, like I said, I don't know her. And lastly, I need to go because if Ritchie gets tired of waiting I'll have a tornado flying towards my face." Mario said as he started walking away

"Wait!" Xylo chased after him.

"What happened?!?!" Kay was now freaking out.

"You didn't confess did you?" Kay responded honestly this time.

"Look, my bow doesn't just make people fall in love, it can make them fall out of love too, incase I meet any lovesick people." he began with an explanation.

"If I shoot someone who's already in love they will forget everything about the person who they were into."

Kay's eyes widened. She moved towards the object Mario had, it was a bouquet of peonies, it also had a card attached that said it was for her.

She opened the card and read it.

"Dear Kaykrae,

This might sound cheesy but I'm willing to take the risk.

Roses are red
Voilets are blue
I really like you
And I hope you like me too

I met you here when I first came
Since then, nothings been the same
Here's a question I've been saving for the right time
Kaykrae, will you please be my valentine?"

Tears were now streaming down her face.

"I-Is there a way t-to reverse this?" she asked, choking on her words.

"Im sorry........ Its irreversible..."

That final line was what shattered her heart into millions of pieces........

"No, no, no, no! You have to be joking!" she gripped Bryan's shoulders, hoping and praying to the gods that this was just an elaborate prank on her for something she did or said to them......

But it was all real.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not joking" he said

She flew towards her cabin with haste and cried her eyes out.

If she hadn't been so scared

If she had just confessed

They would have been happy together.

What had she done?
