It was a gorgeous night . I woke up from one of my naps to gaze at the stars. They flickered and darted across the inky sky in multiple colors.

How beautiful... the fireflies topped it off along with the gentle winds.

I couldn't help but smile as I turned to Flora who approached me from behind. "Can't sleep?"

She nodded and sat beside me, then plopped her head on my lap. I began playing with her hair.

"Mommy?"

"Yes?" I said, looking down at her.

"Why did my other mommy leave me?"

Oh.......

I paused for a moment to find the right words.

"Oh sweety, she never hated you" "She had no choice, even though it broke her heart" "There was a war going on at the time, between US and Russia, and being with you would've endangered you both" "I'm sure she loved you, even in her final moments"

I said nothing as I wiped the tears of her face and hugged her. I then started tickling her. She kept on laughing and begging me to stop, in between breaths. Amidst the whole thing, she let out a fart.

I stopped and stared, before backing away. The moment I saw her evil smirk I started running. "Flora please stoooooooop!" "Have mercy Oh fart queen!"

I felt pretty satisfied when she cheered up. Only then did I stop.
