We have been hurtling into space for 10 minutes and i had hurled 6 times in a row. After my eighth vomiting there was a lurch in the pod. Then it opened. Again. This time my stomach filled with dread about what lay beyond the pod. I did a quick scan of the environment and saw that kids were there. ALL of the kids were doing extraordinary things.

Some were lifting heavy objects, some were flying, some were running at unimaginable speeds.( I saw because my eyes picked up movement everywhere. I put two and two together.)
Then I realised two things
1: that we were the odd ones out.
2: I didn't feed my golden retriever, Goldie.

Hearing laughter behind me, I spun around, expecting to see a stranger there. But instead i saw everyone howling in laughter. I shook my head in annoyance. There i heard a whistling noise. I turned around and saw a second pod, hurling towards my friends. I screamed as loud as i could have but they sitting there still laughing like maniacs. Then the pod was less than a few feet away. Suddenly everything slowed down.

I looked around, only the speedsters were moving normally. I remembered my problem quickly. I went to my friends and pulled them out one by one until everyone was gone. Then everything sped up again. I instantly felt nauseous and tired. My friends had confused looks on their faces, trying to figure out how they got where they were.

That was the last thing I saw before my body collapsed,my body to weak to stand. I used the last of my strength to curl up into a ball, trying to stay as warm as i could. My head hit the ground with a thump. That was when everything went black.

"Ahhhh!" I screamed, drenched in sweat and in a bed. I looked around, finding that I was connected to an IV line and all of my friends were there sleeping. The closest person there was Mason. I shook him awake

"Mason? Come on dude. Wake up"

"huh? What's going on?" He said groggily.

Typical. I thought. He was the one i assume was supposed to be watching over me, to make sure that I'm okay. Then I thought-screamed I'm awake! Wakey wakey!
Yay! Jane being her cheerful self was the first one awake.
Hey man. Had a nice two week long nap? Colin, being the one who is always sarcastic.
Two weeks? I was out for two weeks? I asked, concerned about teachers, classes and most of all, if this place has good food.

Nah man. Two days, Mason informed me. I sighed in relief. I wasn't totally screwed after all. Colin, i swear the minute I get off this bed i am going to get you, I say mentally. If you can catch me! Colin retorts. "I'm pretty sure I can, bub." I only say 'bub' when I about to compete in something

Then arms wrap around my neck. I knew immediately who it was. I hugged her back. We just sat there, hugging each other. After a few minutes Meghan pulled away. "Why'd you faint?" She asked aloud. And in my head she asked, you saved us? I answered by launching into my tale of saving them. By the time I was done, Colin was quiet for once and Mason was staring at me with wide eyes and mouth hanging agape. "So all in all", I concluded, "I saved all your sorry butts." I look each one of them in the eye.

Colin opened his mouth to say something, but a bell cut him off. "Well Andrew, it's time for you to meet the gym teacher." Meghan said after looking at her schedule.

"So, where is this gym?" I ask, impatient.
"Almost there."
"You said that 10 minutes ago!" I exclaimed
"Look up." Meghan said with her trademark smirk. I looked at the doors.
"Are you in any of my classes?" I ask Meghan, i was hoping, praying that she, or any of my friends for that matter, was in any of my classes.
She took out her schedule for the 5th time today. "Funny thing actually, you have a class with each of us today." My jaw dropped. I had a class with each of my friends today? My luck has improved. "And I presume We have first period together?" Meghan only nodded her head. "Shall we? " I asked with a British accent. We walked through the giant double doors of the gym. The coach was in the middle of the -there was a BASKETBALL COURT?! At that one moment i wished I brought my basketball, or any clothes with me.

I was wearing some of Colin's clothes that he loaned me. I walked up to the coach and told him my name, age and grade. When he asked for my room number, I asked Colin. Room A-122. Why'd you ask? I relayed the info to the coach. The coach asked if I had any powers. I showed him my nerf gun and he laughed. I silenced him by sticking a stun dart in his arm.
He collapsed, unmoving. Only speaking he said "That'll do, boy. That'll do." I smiled and joined running with the rest of the class. I caught up with Meghan and started whispering to her. When she asked why the coach had collapsed, I told her I had stuck him with a stun dart. She only chuckled and continued running. When the stun liquid word off and coach stood to his feet, he paired people up in twos and made us battle each other.

I, luckily, was paired with Meghan, who looked nervous and guilty. When I asked if she was alright she told me that she had to talk to me later about something massive. I quickly relayed the message to everyone else and Colin replied by saying he had something to show us. I sighed and decided not to think about none of it.

Then it was time for Meghan and me to fight.

(Aaand that's chapter one! ill be rewriting this a releasing sometime in the next two days :) so, keep an eye out for that)
