"Roman…Roman what the hell are you doing." Eli asked grabbing the railing to support himself seeing his boyfriend standing on the edge of a cliff

Roman glanced back at him tears in his eyes as he hugged the edge if the cliff "Eli I'm so sorry.." he whispered feeling the tears down his cheeks "i can't everyones gone everyone left everyone else got to give up."

"No…no Roman this isn't it ok there are kids there still…well there's." Eli gulped down a sob "two of them but we need to to help them.."

"Damn it Eli no." Roman turned around "No you don't get it. You didn't see your sibling go you didn't see his kid ask when dad was gonna wake up and you had to lie to that kid!" He yelled tears streaming down his face now "i can't DO this." He stomped his foot taking another step towards the cliff

"I can't either!" Eli screamed walking another step forward "my onIy friend is gone i know you hated him but he's gone now." He cried "i can't lose you too.. Damn it Roman don't make me lose you too."

Roman looked at him tears still running down his face "My love I'm so sorry.." he whispered "don't follow me. Please you need to stay here.."

"Roman no." Eli stepped forward "no no please." He extended his hand "no we're going to be ok..just come back we can figure this out." He pleaded taking another step so Roman could easily just take his hand and they could hug and cry and they'd be fine

Roman hesitated putting his hand foreword and pulling it back "I love you." He whispered before taking a shuddering breath.

And he leaned back falling off the cliff and landing on his head dying on impact

Eli screamed "NO!" As he ran to the cluff edge tripping and falling to his knees as he vlung to the edge sobbing into the dirt. He screamed again as he cried into the dirt

"I love you too." He whispered before curling up and crying himself to sleep

Eli woke up to the feeling of a small hand pulling at his sleeve "hello? My best friend is asleep and i tried to show him my sun and he won't wake up." The small voice that belonged to Fern came up

Eli looked up at her before registering what she was saying bolting up right "Zion isn't waking up?" He asked panicked

"He's just asleep." Fern pouted "just like mom and dad! Where are they? They should be awake by now."

Eli stood before picking up Fern and sinking out to where Zion was. The 12 year old had tried to get something but fallen on his head from the high counter. Eli rushed forward taking the small boy in his arms

He started to hum there was nothing he could do. The heartbeat was faint and dying as he held him "Fern come here." Eli whispered

Fern ran over sitting down and placing her hand over zions chest. Till the faint tickling pit pat died away and his skin got cold

Eli started shaking violently holding the boy who lay in h is arms. Fern looked up at him understanding seemed to wash over her

"He's not gonna wake up." She whispered tears starting to fall as she ran up to Eli and clung to his arm starting to sob

Eli felt tears come and fall as he stared at the cabinet in front of him. No one was coming back they were *all* gone. He had Fern and that was it but she was four years old

He had to father her alone

Eli went up to the same cliff he had seen Roman fall off of two months previously holding a small bag

He hadn't slept at all his eyes had been puffy from crying from lack of sleep from so much and yet he wasn't crying. He stood at the edge almost calm

This is it. It'll all be over soon

He placed the bag on the edge of the cliff taking off the necklace he had received from…well he knew it was a gift. Eli place it in the box one top of everything else in the bag each item being something from everyone. Something they either had kept on them or valued and Eli had saved every one of them just in case he…wanted to cry? Wanted ti remember people he would never forget? The reason wasn't clear

But it would be over soon. He would see them all again soon enough he just had to fall

Eli took off his shoes then lay the bag next to the railing writing a suicide note to put with the rest and sitting back against the cliff

With his back to the edge if the cliff as he stared at the point of the cliff he flipped backwards off the cliff landing on his head

Eli lay there in pain for a maximum of five minutes before he died next to Roman praying and hoping he would get to see him again.
