Lily's POV

Jax thankfully hadn't said anything that required me talking about my mom yet. Once Mr. Maifer and Jax had been introduced to eachother I got an idea. "You should meet Sachi!" I said. Jax looked at me "Who's Sachi?" He asked. "She's my friend. She lives out in the forest." Mr. Maifer was the first to respond. "That's a great idea Lil-Lil." He said. "Okay. I'm game." Jax said. "Great!" I said, "I'll grab my sword and we can get going. Come on Jax." I started down the stairs and Jax followed. I opened the locked cabinet and pulled out my sword and iPod. "Shoot." I said. "What's wrong?" Jax asked. I showed him the lock screen. It was full of notifications. They where all texts from Sachi. "Im dead." I said. "Well we should probably hurry to get over there so she knows your ok." I nodded. "Race you to the woods." I said. "Your on." Jax replied. We started running. For a while he matched my speed. Then he started lagging behind. I saw the woods and picked up my speed. Jax started catching up again. Only a little farther. Jax started to overtake me but I speed up. We tied. "Your faster than I thought you would be." I said as I tried to catch my breath. Jax laughed a little. "Well I'm suprised I could keep up with you. I already knew you where fast." We stopped for a while to catch our breath. "Follow me." I said. I started to lead the way towards Sachi's treehouse. "So.' I said. "You obviously have control over water. Have any other powers?" I asked. "Not that I know of." He said, "And from the looks of your half of the necklace you have fire powers. Do you have any other powers?" He asked. I focused. I started to change my hair differnt colors. I changed it from teal to brown to purple and then back to black. I looked behind me to see Jax's reaction. He just had wide eyes. I laughed then got an idea. I focused on his hair and turned it bright yellow. I held back more laughter. Jax narrowed his eyes. "What did you do?" He asked. I just started laughing. He made a small pool of water on the ground and looked at his reflection. "Turn it back." He said calmly. I managed to stop laughing and turned his hair back to its normal brown color. "Ok lets go." I said. We continued walking. We made it and I picked up a pinecone. "Hey Sachi!" I called up. I threw the pinecone at one of the windows. The treehouse was a simple box wedged between two branches in a huge oak. The windows didnt have any glass. They had shutters and curtains for when it got cold. The pinecone soared right through the window. I didnt hear any crashes so it had hopefully gone through the window across from it. Sachi peeked her head through the window. She waved to me. "Who's that?" She asked pointing at Jax. "I'll tell you when we get up there."
