➵ lost boys - when broken kids need to change the world

> postapocalyptic world (3 years after outbreak), still ruled by zombies and the survivors who seem to only care for themselves/their own groups

> the infection happens through spores that enter your lungs, so in areas where the infected transported the fungus into the environment, you need to wear a gas mask in order to avoid getting sick

> different types of zombies/stages of infection:

· stage 1: runner -> The decay hasn't started yet, so their bodies are still mostly unaffected by the disease. But the virus has already taken over the minds of the hosts and transformed them into mindless, vicious and bloodthirsty monsters. Upon hearing, seeing, or smelling a living human, they attack them. Sometimes you can still year them crying, yelling or sobbing, suggesting that the host isn't completely gone at that point. When they don't acknowledge your presence, you can watch them gripping their heads, twitching and wandering around aimlessly, as if the host is still fighting against the disease.

· stage 2: stalker -> They are mostly similar to the runners, but the virus seems to have taken full control of them at this stage. You won't hear them crying, to be honest you probably won't notice them at all until they decide to attack you. Upon noticing you, they try to hide behind walls or other objects in order to attack you when you least expect it.

· stage 3: clicker -> At this stage, the infection has fully taken over the body of the host. The body is partially corroded by the fungus and as a result, the host loses their sight as well as their hearing. Although they aren't as fast as the hosts of the first two stages, they are still highly dangerous. They developed some form of sonar radar and use clicking sounds to coordinate and determine the position of living beings. So when you hear their clicking, don't move a muscle and stay as still as possible, so that they don't notice you.

· stage 4: bloater -> Their bodies are even more overtaken by the disease and the decay, swelling up and bloating into double their original size. Similar to the clickers, they notice your movement and when they do, they will throw bombs of spores on you, which will infest your lungs and keep you from breathing. Once infested with the spores, the disease will start to take over your body, so try your best to avoid them.

[Those stages of infection didn't sprout from my own imagination. All of the rights for those ideas belong to the makers of  "The Last of Us" - I only used them as a general reference for how I wanted the fictional world to be.]

> Erikson's school for the troubled youth is a school for those children that've been considered difficult, dangerous or resistant to learning. Hence, they were transferred or rather put into this institution in order to correct their unacceptable behaviours. When the outbreak began, the panicked adults and teachers fled the school and left the kids to their own devices, not caring about how they were supposed to survive. But the children/adolescents united and helped each other, forming a strong group. Sadly, only seven of the kids made it until this point.
