she grew up in the rainforest but never really understood the happiness and joy all other rain—wings showed. she didn't understand how they could live their life when they didn't even know how to read or write, rain-wings annoyed her to say the least. ethereal left the kingdom when she turned four, she wanted to see and meet new dragons and kingdoms. she managed to make her way to some dragon group called "the talons of power" where she learned to fight and later on learned how to use her venom fangs. she left them too tho, at least she wanted to, but she was held back by a sky—wing — kestrel. she begged her to stay, of course only because of the prophecy and because webs had caught a rain— wing. just because of that, not because her heart fluttered every time she saw the rain-wing.
rea helped raise the dragonets of destiny and taught glory especially on how to use her venom and scales effectively. rea didn't really agree with how the dragonets were raised by the others and kept on protecting them, clashing with kestrel every now and then, but the sky-wing folded quickly under her gaze.

when the dragonets of destiny escaped, she knew. sunny had told her but rea had kept shut. tho she left too, for good now, not even kestrel could keep her from doing so. but rea didn't leave for nothing, she was hot on the dragonets heels, following their every move and watching them get captured. her heart ached upon seeing them — her children - being chained and ripped apart. rea wandered through the halls of scarlets castle when she saw gill, recognising the familiar patterns on his wings, she figured he could be related to tsunami. she tried helping him, giving him the water he dearly needed, which caused him to regain power over himself. when he was brought to the arena and saw tsunami, he recognised carol in her and they talked. no one died. Well, scarlet send peril in, getting them to kill them, but rea revealed herself. she suddenly appeared in front of the two and splashed her venom on perils face. before anyone could grab a thought, she was gone again and suddenly had her snout in front of scarlets, spitting her venom onto her face and glory followed her suit. with two sky-wings screeching, rea rescued glory, tsunami and gill before they went to clay and starflight. they didn't know where sunny was, leaving her for a short period of time.
it had taken them a few days, but they came back and where able to rescue a scarred and tortured sunny.
tho they were back together, rea couldn't help but feel twinges of guilt whenever she looked at sunny or. saw clays sad face when he thought about peril. tho they where back together, darkness was rising in two of her so called children.
