BACKSTORY: Blake wasn't supposed to be born. He is the product of his mother being sexually abused by his father. His father manipulated her into marrying him to cover it up.

He and his mother suffered emotional and physical abuse at the hands of his father for a very long time. This all ended when Blake saw him hitting his mother and something in him just... snapped. He grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed him in the neck. A normal person would probably hesitate and not be able to do what he did, but Blake pulled it off. He even went as far as to stab him thirty eight more times.

Blake's mother told the guards what had happened. Despite all the emotional and physical abuse, she still loved her husband. That's how he ended up in the skybox and on the ground with the 100.

He had a taste of what killing was like and now he wants more.
