ARDEN HAS intelligence beyond the average person, and she is well aware of that fact. combining it with her wit and ability to think on her feet, she's easily the brains of any team. that was the very reason for her recruitment in the first place, though she wishes her intellect could be used for different purposes other than to kill and do the dirty work for a psychopath. seeing others around her easily conforming to the lifestyle of murder and trickery has forced her to fit into the same mould, yet she still feels the chill run down her spine each time she sees a cold body, and the discomfort in her gut everytime she trains.

PERHAPS THAT has to do with the fact that behind the tall walls she has painstakingly built around her heart holds an unmistakable kindness and compassion, cultivated from the years of being in a environment that, while not so much sheltered and protected, undeniably consisted of a tender care.
however, she knows that owning those traits are considered weaknesses, not just in the academy but in her past life before that. she didn't have the privilege of using those attributes, having grown up with a considerably hard plight. so she's carefully guarded her heart, cautious to not let these feelings overtake her intuition.

THOUGH SHE is clever, arden isn't much of a team player. she would much rather work individually, attributed to her hard head and stubborness. arden stands firmly in her own beliefs and, though some parts are left barricaded, still follows her heart, which she often wears on her sleeve. she's rather impulsive and sometimes acts with reckless abandon, but she plays it off smoothly with her cleverness and street smarts. opposing her views and ideas wouldn't be the best path to take if one wishes to win her heart; probably a better option to getting a one-way ticket into her blacklist.

DON'T TRY picking a fight with this girl; her sarcasm and sardonicism could chill one to the bone. rather than using brute force, arden uses a sharp tongue and stinging words to attack her enemies, and won't ever give in without winning the fight. she's a determined one, with the motto to get things to go her way, by hook or by crook. this trait could be seen as charming or repulsive; her bluntness to some is attractive, refreshing, but to others, annoying and insensitive.

DON'T GET her wrong, though — arden can be cold as ice, but is also capable of being as passionate as the embers burning from a wildfire. emotions come on strong for arden, whether it be love, lust, hate or anger. true to her name, she's particularly ardent in her feelings and isn't afraid to show it. that may be her worst downfall, leading her to defy the higher-ups simply by following her emotions, or her best distinction from the others at the academy, in the sense that it gives her to boldness and confidence to do her job, whether it be one assigned to her by authorities or one by her own heart. besides that, she's loyal by nature, and you can trust that if she truly cares for you, she'll protect you with a fierce allegiance and do all it takes to get you out of danger's path.

arden was born just to become another pawn in the hands of ryland. from the moment she was conceived, that was her label, imprinted permanently into her entire being and existence. though she was unaware of this, her supposed parents, were not. they knew the future ahead of her was a bleak, dark one, and out of the kindness of their hearts, decided to make the years before she was taken the best the could. thus, though they were poor and lived in poverty, among the ruffians and thugs, they raised her with the only thing they could; tender love and care.

she grew up in an environment surrounded by enough warmth to nearly make her forget about the cold, poor living conditions around her. however, though they treated her with fondness, they were sure to bring her up tough. they slowly, but surely shifted her views on the world, and people around her, to one of wariness and relative cynicism. they forced her to tuck her feelings away whenever they got too strong, turning her away from showing kindness to others, teaching her that giving too much was wrong. though that may seem counter intuitive to good parenting and upbringing, it was only to protect her from the difficult years to come.

after being brought to the academy, though her memories of her past are hazy, she knows her past life was one that meant so much more than her frigid one at the academy, and thus never felt as though she belonged. she remembers feeling the love, experiencing the unconditional care showered upon her, and in her heart longs and yearns to feel it once more.

mostly casual clothing, consisting of sweatpants, ripped jeans, shorts, tees, loose croptops and oversized sweaters. arden's rather laidback about her outfits and would rather be comfy than stylish. she's also rarely seen wearing dresses, skirts or anything too feminine.

— arden may have been raised with love and care, but that does not equate to her being soft. she's been taught to be a tough cookie, but she still maintains some goodness in her.

— before she was taken, arden liked to read and write. she dreamed to be an author or poet - of course that could never have been.

— arden isn't very good at fighting, or  using strength and machinery to fight. this could be trained more and worked upon.

— her soft spots are children, and this may be a potential weakness or loophole in completing her tasks. (eg. if a criminal is found to have young children, she'd worry for their future.)
