Sato Hoshi and Tsakashi Benjiro had been friends since childhood. In fact, they had, in a way, helped each other evolve. Benjiro had once pushed Hoshi into a lake. As Benjiro chuckled about his pranking, Hoshi stayed under. Soon Benjiro began to worry that he had drowned her, but in fact, she had discovered a Water stone, and his shiny friend was evolving. She swam sharkishly beneath the water surface, invisible to her fearful friend, then pounced from the sea, tackling him.

Benjiro - AUGH!! WH-WHO ARE YOU?!!

Hoshi - Don't you recognise me, Benjiro?

Benjiro - Hoshi?

Hoshi - That's me!

Benjiro - Oops... sorry...

Hoshi - Don't be, I love this!

Benjiro - Really?

Hoshi - Yeah!

And so they played together happily, and, as they played, Benjiro also changed, his body growing thick purple fur as he became an Espeon.

Hoshi - Hey, look at you!

Benjiro - Hoshi... Aw man, Hoshi, we both evolved on the same day! Do you know what that means?

Hoshi - What...?
