Prologue
HAVING DRUGGIE PARENTS isn't what people think it is. They aren't always out at parties, like people ask, they aren't abusive by textbook terms (though them being addicted should definitely be an abuse), and they aren't whacky.
They're still my parents, mom and dad, ma and pa. They take me to school functions, they go to parent teacher conferences, and they make a decent living — as long as they're able to have even a small dose of the drug they so desperately need.
In fact, I would consider my parents even loving. They try to keep me out of their drug problems, and they always sit down at dinner with me when they're not using.
Oh, don't get me wrong, it's still pretty screwed up, but at least they're trying. Still, I am pretty tired of them having "friends" that are my age over when I get home from school. Drug deals, money collector, and everything in between. I tried to stay in my room when these people came over, or I would make an excuse to go out with my best friend Regina.
Unfortunately for me, my parents ran out of money. Their addiction got worse as it continued, and eventually, the prices for what they wanted went up higher in the world of purchase.
My parents couldn't pay it back, so I was their payment.
