"JARVIS, tell me Destiny's body size," he orders his robot while sitting in front of his computer. After a few seconds of waiting the android gives him the information. "She's not even 6ft, how can she play basketball," Tony mumbles while reading the information JARVIS gave on his computer.

"She's fast and full with skills, sir," JARVIS chimes in with his popular British accent.

Tony takes that by surprise. He stops reading and looks up, though he doesn't know what he's looking at. "How did you know?" he asks the android slowly.

"I saw her play, sir," the robot replies.

Tony scoffs. "I'm not in the mood with jokes JARVIS," he says, looking back at his computer screen and takes in every detail about his new iron man suit and Destiny. "You're not a human. How can you see her play-"

"We have cameras in your building," JARVIS cuts his boss' speech. "I have proof to show you."

"Keep your proof." Tony sighs lazily. However he's too late. "I-" Suddenly, a video appears on his computer screen, "What are you doing, JARVIS?" he asks, sternly. He clearly isn't in the mood.

"I'm playing the video for you, sir," the android tells Tony flatly and innocently as if he didn't do anything wrong. "And I thought your child has something to tell you."

"Nope. No. She doesn't have anything to tell me," Tony stubbornly denies it. He avoids his eyes from looking at the video of a girl practicing her shooting skill in his gymnasium. After only a few seconds, Tony cannot help himself but to watch the video. "Hey, wait, where did the net come from?"

"She set it up herself."

"My gymnasium is now her basketball court?!" Tony's blood boils. He watches Destiny throwing the ball on the wall and runs here and there in the big area and shoots. It is hard for Tony to admit that she's good. "Where is-" he was about to ask JARVIS to call Destiny when he hears a conversation between Bolt and his daughter at the gymnasium.

"My basketball tournament is in two days, Bolt, do you believe how fast time flies?" says the girl while bouncing the ball. There's a pause before Destiny continues talking. "I wish you could be there, buddy. If you were a human I know you'd be there to support me, aren't you, Bolt?" Bolt barks and again, Destiny chuckles. "I know you would."

Tony finds himself holding his breath.

"Anyway, I hope Jack will be there. He promised me he will be there but..."

"Who's Jack?"

"It's the boy who walks her home, sir."

Tony glares at no one in particular. He didn't want a reply, actually.

"I don't have any more people to cheer for me. John and Gregg are guarding. I wish I could tell Dad to let them go for a while-" Destiny seems to realise something. "Wait a minute. Do you know why Dad wants guards at his front door?" The dog barks again. "I know right? I wish they're my driver since I don't have a licence yet. I'm so tired of training!"

"You little smart girl. I asked you to bring my suit!"

"Unfortunately, she doesn't like to ride in your suit, sir."

Again, Tony glares.

"Bolt, come-"

"That's it!" Tony puts away the video. "I need to start working on this suit, JARVIS. People out there are aiming Destiny; I can feel that so stop distracting me."

"But Destiny-"

"Stop distracting me."

Fifteen minutes walking back to their home building they spend with talking over something they missed for the past weeks. Jack with her job experience taking care of three naughty but smart children and Destiny rants about Tony's behaviour that hates her passion. Jack has been listening the same thing since they both get close with each other so the news is nothing new to Jack yet he still surprise that Tony still hasn't accept what Destiny loves to do.

By the time both of them reach Stark's Tower, it is already six. Destiny has an hour left to get ready for work that if she could walk herself to the coffee shop across the street. At the front door of Stark's Tower, two men are standing straight as always, looking around the area behind their dark glasses. Honk from the vehicles on the street are loud enough to raise their voices while talking. Destiny looks at them sympathetically.

"Hello, John, Gregg," Jack greets both of the men politely.

"Hello there, Jack," John and Gregg return Jack's greet in unison. "Long time no see ya," John says.

"Yeah, I've been busy keeping with work and school," he replies. "How are you guys been doing?"

"Like always," Gregg answers. "I am sure you see how I do once in a while when you walk back to your house."

John only nods, agreeing.

Jack then is about to dismiss himself since the day is getting dark when suddenly a familiar bearded man appears at the door. All of the turn to him in shock. It's not a surprise to see it's Tony.

~

"Er, who're you?" Tony asks the tall boy while looking at him up and down.

"I'm Jack, sir. Destiny's friend," Jack answers.

"Oh, you're Jack." The corner of Tony's lips twitch. "Anyway, I am sorry to interrupt your little conversation but I need to see my daughter," he generally tells them. "Destiny, come. I need to talk to you," he speaks to his daughter.

"Uhh, um, okay."

"Quick." Tony rushes in without waiting for Destiny.

Wincing, Destiny looks at Jack guiltily. "Sorry."

"It's alright. I have to go, too, though."

After they say their good byes, Destiny runs to get to keep up with her dad when he yells her name from inside the building. Even though he didn't look like he cared a while ago, but waiting for Destiny is the obvious proof to show that Tony Stark really cares with whomever Destiny being friend with.

And there are tons of reasons why Tony cares so much beside he's her parent.

~

Destiny hates it when her father pretends to forget Jack when he has met him a lot before. She hates it when her father forces her to follow him when she was talking to her best friend or whomever that makes her happy. And she hates it when her father lied to her just because he wants her to get away with something he doesn't like, like what had happened.

Destiny bought Tony's lie minutes ago. She totally bought it. She thought Tony was being all serious when he said he needs to talk to her but the moment she knew the truth, she felt like destroying all his robots. It was when she asked three times and Tony answered the same thing. She knew her father was lying since he is the type of person who will straight away say any important things that she should take as a note.

Right now, she's really mad at him. Not just because Tony lied or prevented her from talking Jack who she hasn't talked to for a while but she's trapped. She is trapped in Tony's workshop. Tony keeps her with him there. She has no access to get out even after so many tries tapping on the passcode. It's clear that Tony has changed the passcode because he doesn't want Destiny to go anywhere. He even warned JARVIS to look after or spy on the girl and reports to him if she makes any trial to escape. She feels like a prisoner.

If this is the best to punish a child because of doing something without his knowledge, Tony should at least tell Destiny so that she knows what she's doing down here. And if he doesn't like Destiny to talk to anyone because of her safety, he shouldn't do that. Destiny is just a teenager who wants freedom and Tony has to realise he's keeping his daughter in the cage from flying free. And if he wants to show Destiny what he's been working on, he has to show her.

After sixteen years of being a parent - a father - Tony hasn't changed a thing. He's not good with words and Destiny has to endure it alone.

Destiny Stark sits there like a fool. She's still dumbfounded when she found out that Tony had lied to her. She hasn't found any reason why she's there. The tries to think and tries to ask both JARVIS and her father but none of them answer her question. Both JARVIS and Tony ignore her as if she is invisible.

While sitting at one of the stools at Tony's working table, she watches her dad walk here and there with metal piece in his hand. She doesn't know what he is working on. Another ironman suit, she thought, but he looks too busy to be questioned anything so Destiny keeps her mouth shut before Tony explodes. She looks for anything on the table to play with and to her luck, she sees a book of papers and a pencil that she can use to work with her hands.

She doesn't know what to do with the papers and the pencil but she has something in her mind that she would like to pour out. While looking around her dad's workshop, although it's neat and she knows Tony wouldn't want to change anything, but Destiny knows better when she looks at Tony always looking lost when he wants to find something. That's when her brain brings her an idea.

Destiny begins sketching. First: the size of the room. Then, she draws Tony's robots behind the glasses and a place where Tony should keep his other robots, Tony's expensive cars and some items indicating that they stay there, not going anywhere. Starting with the next step, Destiny begins sketching some drawers and carts with labels like spanners, screws, wires according to their colours, etcetera, more working tables and lights and quite a safe area to test a suit where he won't burn his stuffs and destroy his cars. Destiny gives details about how JARVIS should work: with voice command, JARVIS should open the drawers that contain what Tony wants.

She doesn't know how Tony would like her idea but she had fun sketching her idea. At the end of her drawing, she smiles to herself.

Tony, who is a while ago busy working on a new suit, pauses his work. He turns to where her daughter is sitting. He narrows his eyes and examines what Destiny is doing and when he discovers that she is drawing using his paper and his pencil, part of him wants to get to her and snatch and blame her for touching his stuffs without permission but seeing Destiny is too focused with whatever she's doing, Tony dismisses her.

Both the father and the daughter are too caught in their own world and moment. JARVIS watch them behind his android eyes. The workshop is so quiet except when Tony asks JARVIS for information. Destiny continues adding more details meanwhile Tony is working on his best building up the suit. For today, he's connecting the wires in the suit and tests it and repairs if there's any shortage.

At the end of the day, Destiny doesn't go to work. Her phone is full with messages from her colleagues at the coffee shop asking why she's not there but she ignores them all since she's too busy with her current focus. When the clock beeps, it's already ten. Destiny finishes her drawing and realises how long she has been sitting at Tony's workshop.

Destiny's dad makes and invents intelligent robots that operate almost like a human. People often gets Destiny wrong where they thought Destiny is as genius as her father and that's a big deal for her. Even though Destiny doesn't love robots as much as him but the blood is running in her veins. She loves inventing and that makes sense to why she could make good piece of art. She's not good at Physics; however, her mind is full with things out of people's imagination. And most of them are brilliant.

When Tony lets Destiny go to bed without apologising or telling why he wanted Destiny in the workshop, he approaches the spot where Destiny sat the whole evening. He picks up the piece of paper that is full with Destiny's sketch about his workshop. Looking at it, Tony's lips slowly curve upward.

~

okay, i don't know what to say. tony's workshop in this book is the same like the one in iron man 3; however, what destiny sketched is based on my imagination.

hope you enjoy this chapter!

2nd author's note: this chapter is pretty messed up, i know. especially the part when Destiny's doing the sketch? but I can't change it :/
