It is late. Destiny should be sleeping by now, especially after the dinner part she is supoosed to feel drained physically and mentally. That's what she often felt as soon as she reaches home after a dinner party or an event doesn't matter if she doesn't have to meet anyone or have to mingle with every person in the room, but guess what? Not tonight. If anything, she is wide awake. As soon as she reaches home, she changes herself into her pajamas and, instead of heading to her bedroom and get ready for bed, she enters her study room that is attached with her bedroom. She opens her computer and begins searching.
Destiny doesn't need much energy to find wants she wants. As soon as she types "Will racing" (because she doesn't know Will's last name) her browing page gives all the information she'd like to know. Apparently, William Trevor is a well-known young speed racer, who had been active on the racing games since he was seven years old. It's a bit shameful that Destiny didn't recognise him at all when they first met because Will's father a car owner, and the car Will drives is her father's invention . . . he's a part of it. But still. How come her parents never mentioned Benjamin Trevor before? Or was it because she didn't lay attention?
Destiny continues to scroll – in between, she learns Will's height, weight, shoes size, eye colour, original hair colour and his siblings, from a fansite – until she found Will's social media list. Twitter, Facebook fanpage, Instagram, and Destiny chose Instagram to follow him.
Destiny feels her blood rushing in her veins. to avoid herself from unfollowing William and re-follow him back, and then unfollow again because she's having a dilemma and being shy, and to avoid from Will thinking weirdly about her, Destiny decides to throw herself onto her bed and begins to sleep with a smile on her face.
When the next day came, Destiny is awaken by a loud voice coming from the loud speaker in her room. No, it was not, JARVIS waking her up from her deep sleep, but Tomy screaming through the speaker. Destiny wakes up with a jolt and was confused for a few seconds before Tony said ". . . late for schol!"
Destiny turned to her side and checks out on the time window glass in her bedroom. Her window glass is still dark, perhaps JARVIS also overslept since he didn't turn the window glass to its original state where it overlooks the whole city. Her eyes turns wide at the displayed time so she quickly gets off bed and heads to her shower room. She finishes off her morning routine as fast as she could – although it is impossible to skip one of them – and dresses up without putting any make-up on or do her hair. She lets her wet hair to dry naturally.
As Destiny rushes to eat and drink her breakfast without sitting, Tony busies herself reading the news from his tablet.
'Come on, Dad. I'm ready,' Destiny says with her mouth full of sandwich. When Tony doesn't make a move, she raises her voice a little to get Tony's attention. 'Dad! Come! Move!'
Tony locks his tablet and leaves it at the dining table. Destiny, who is too busy praying and hoping she'll arrive school on time because she doesn't want to miss first part of their basketball training, wasn't aware of the bothered look on Tony's face. And while Tony takes his time driving Destiny to school – which rarely happens unless Destiny is late – Destiny takes her time playing with her phone. To her surprise, Will follows her back on Instagram. First, she had actually forgotten that she follows Will on Instagram the night before as soon as she knows his social media accounts. Second, she thought Will was only joking around and only hooking up.
Destiny smiles to herself when Will's name appears on her Instagram notification.
'Hey, what you got there, buddy?'
'What?' Destiny puts on her innocent face.
'There. You're smiling looking at your phone,' Tony points out. 'You got a new boyfriend?'
'New boyfriend?' Destiny laughs. 'Since when did I have a boyfriend or break-up with my "boyfriend"?'
'Jack.'
Destiny rolls her eyes at Tony. 'How many times do I have to tell you that Jack is only my best friend?' She sighs.
'Whatever,' Tony mumbles. 'By the way, how was the party the other night?'
Tony avoided asking that question to Destiny because he knows what that will bring to them. Instead of sharing stories about people, it will only bring arguments between them. Tony will defend himself, saying that what he did is for Destiny's future, but Destiny will say that he is lying because what he did is for his own advantage. 'It's all about business,' Destiny will always repeat the famous line from their parents. That was true, apparently.
And there's no different this time.
'Nothing interesting for you to know,' Destiny answers lowly, holding back her tongue from saying something that hurt both of them. She continues playing with her phone.
It is also different for Tony this time. He didn't counter back.

'If there is one thing in this world that I would like to change is . . .'
'The people,' Will interjects.
'I haven't finished answering!'
'Too late for that now, huh?' Will is having so much fun teasing Destiny. Not that Destiny hates it, though, because after a long time, she is finally smiling and laughing freely again, being herself.
'So, why? Why do you want to change people?' Destiny is curious to know what Will thought about people; see if he has the same opinion as she is.
'I wish they're kinder,' Will answers. 'I don't care if they want to take my photos, but the speculations? They're bad.'
'I agree.' Destiny smiles sadly. 'I walk home from school with people staring at me like it's weird for the billionaire's daughter to walk home. And they thought my life is perfect as a daughter to two famous human beings, but truth is? That is a burden to me. Have you seen what the tabloids had said about me during the dinner party?'
Will nods his head and winces. 'Well, I kind of believe it when I first read it, too, but you're not that kind of person, are you?'
'Do you think Tony and Pepper would still accept me if I'm in a secret relationship with my own bodyguard?' Will laughs loudly while shaking his head. 'There's the answer.'
'Right. Right,' Will replies. He then gtakes a glance at his watch. 'Hey, if I asked you to join me my training today, are you up for it?'
Destiny makes a sour face. 'Oh, I'm– I'm really sorry. I have to help my father with his robots kind of thing. But I appreciate you inviting me. It's lovely, but not today, I guess?' Destiny add quickly.
'That's okay,' Will says with an understanding smile. 'Well then . . . is it okay if I join you instead?'
How is it not a surprise to Destiny that Will wants to join her helping her father as well? Isn't that what everybody wants? Help and have a talk personally with Tony Stark, the one who builds and flies an iron robot, the one who is rich and a genius, the one who has charms with the ladies and, apparently, even to men.
Is it okay? Is it okay?
Destiny softly chuckles. 'My father has a problem with my male friend I–'
'Oh, if that's so.'
'No, you can come.' Destiny smiles. 'I'll talk to him.'
'How many male friends do you have your father didn't approve?'
'How about we talk while we walk?' Destiny says while standing up, grabbing her sports bag and throws it over her shoulder. 'Dad hates it when I'm late.'
'Seriously? Doesn't he know that you have school and basketball?'
'Well, he pretends he doesn't know. He doesn't like the fact that I do sports. He thought I'd grow up to be like him. Well, he wants to.'
'Really?' Will scrunches up his face. 'Wow, that's schocking.'
'I know. Who would've thought . . .' Destiny begins walking, leading them both towards her Tower. The afternoon sun is less tense. Destiny feels cool now.
'Anyway, let's forget about that. I know you don't like to talk about it.'
Destiny's sad smile slowly turns to a sweet and appreciative smile. 'Thanks.'
Will follows Destiny. 'So. You have that many males friends, huh?' His eyes set on Destiny curiously as he waits for her answer. His heart races, doesn't know why it bothers him to hear the answer.
Destiny laughs at him. 'Just Jack.'
'Only one?'
'That I'm closed to.'
'I was thinking you'd have many by the way you said it,' Will says. 'What's wrong with him? What about your bodyguard? What's his name? He looks young. Tony Stark is okay with him and you going to a dinner party where everybody's there as a plus one?'
'John's my bodyguard. If anything happens to me and because of him, he knows Ironman will kill him and I don't think that's what he wants.' For the first after a long time, Destiny doesn't feel insecure with the stares from people around her and Will. 'And Jack is . . . Dad thinks he's a bad influencer to me because I started out basketball because of him.'
'Um.' Will scratches the back of his neck. 'That's– I don't know what to say about that. I mean, playing sports doesn't make you bad? You still spend your tkme with your father. I don't see it bad.'
'Apparently, my father does. By the way, aren't your coach going to punish you or something because you won't do your training today?'
Will shrugs. 'I usually train at night,' he honestly says.
'Ah, I see.'
And they continue talking things they didn't talk about at the dinner party.
After a long walk, they finally arrive at the Tower. Destiny introduces John and Gregg to Will and John says he knows Will apart from the dinner party. He knows Will is a young Nascar racer because John likes the game although he sides with Josh. And Jack is with them.
'Jack! What're you doing here?'
'What, I can't come anymore?'
Destiny snorted. 'It's not that. I thought you're still at training. I waited for you for ten minutes, but you didn't show up. And now you're here.'
John andn Gregg eye between Jack and Destiny and sense that there's something off between them. Meanwhile Will at the back is trying to understand what's happening.
'Yeah, and you brought a friend.'
'Oh, right. Um. This is–'
'Will. I'm Will.' He offers his hand but Jack ignores it, and watches between Destiny and Will suspiciously.
'I've got to go,' Jack says. 'See you tomorrow at school.'
