Another week has passed and Lucas's training regimen is just as intense as ever.

I'm actually starting to get abs, they're faint but nevertheless they're there. Who would have thought that? Not me, that's for sure.

Saturday

I've just got back from training. I still don't know why I agreed to this. What I need right now is a shower.

As I'm towel drying my hair I hear Steph knock on the door.

"Krystal" she calls "can I come in?" 

"Yep!" I reply

As she walks in she just bursts immediately into conversation. "Okay just listen Krystal.  Hear me out. You've been dating this guy for like 3 weeks now, you have to tell me who it is. I'm your best friend, we're not supposed to keep things from each other." She finishes looking genuinely upset.

"Look Steph, I just don't feel ready yet. I don't know if this relationship has a future and I don't want to bring you into it until I'm sure." I've actually rehearsed this as I had a feeling she would approach me soon.

Steph nods a me with a slight understanding. "Promise you'll tell me soon." She says, hopeful.

I nod looking directly in her sapphire blue eyes. I know I had to make direct eye contact or she wouldn't believe me. I hate deceiving her but what choice did I have?

Stephanie POV (Finally. I've wanted to do this for a while)

Wednesday

I wake up to hear Krystal snoring. I'm used to this by now, she's like my personal alarm clock. I'm a morning person so I don't mind, her not so much. I know she'd rather be up at night and asleep all day.

She has this weird obsession with the moon, I always catch her staring at, engrossed in it. I have no idea why but to each their own I guess.

I have a shower, get dressed and eat. By this time it's 7:30 and we need to leave in the next 20 minutes.

I walk into our room.  Of course she's still sleeping.

I scream in her ear and she jumps up abruptly. I laugh and she glares daggers at me, I'm used to this by now, too, she does almost every morning. Like I said she's not a morning person.

"You do realise we need to leave in 20 minutes" I say.

"Shit" she replies and jumps out of bed, heading straight for the bathroom. I chuckle to myself at this. Some things just never change.

Luckily she just makes it out in time and we don't miss the bus.

As we walk into school I feel someone walk up behind me and hold me in a tight embrace. "Hey beautiful" he whispers.

"Hi Ty" I reply softly.

I see Krystal walk off, trying to avoid third wheeling.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date tonight" Tyler says softly in my ear.

"Don't you have training tonight?" I question. "I've never known you to miss a session."

"Yeah but I wanted to spend time with you. I haven't seen you much lately." He replies in a smooth and husky voice.

"You saw me yesterday." He tightens his embrace and raises a saddened eyebrow at me. Urgh. I just can't say no to him. "Alright then. Pick me up at six?"

He nods, relaxing slightly.

He gives me a peck on the cheek as we hear the bell ring and he walks me to class.

We had a great night out. He took me to my favourite restaurant and we watched a rom com after. Ty pretends he only watches those sorts of movies for me but I know he secretly loves them, maybe even more than I do.

We get in the car and Tyler is about to take me home when I remember "Shit. Ty did you borrow my English book? I have some important work in there and I have to hand it in." I ask.

He knits his brows together trying to remember. "Oh yeah I did. Shall we quickly go back to mine and get it?" He asks, thoughtfully.

I nod and the silent engine roars to life.

As we walk up to his apartment door we hear a lot of rustling from the inside.

I wonder what could be making those noises. The only one in there is Lucas.

I'm chatting to Tyler absentmindedly as he puts his key in the lock.

Suddenly all the noises stop and we hear the TV turn on.

When we walk in we see Lucas sitting on the sofa in his t-shirt and boxers. Why is he not wearing trousers?

"Hey Luke" Ty said as we approach the centre of the apartment "what was all that noise?" He questions.

"What noise" he replies, not paying much attention.

"The noise coming from this apartment " I reply slightly confused.

"Oh... um.... hey Stephanie." Lucas says looking worried, what's up with him, he's not usually this awkward around me.

"Hi. Are you going to answer my question?" I ask, still confused.

"Right. Ummm..... I don't really know what you're talking about. I was just doing press ups, maybe that's what you heard?" He asks.

Press ups in boxers? That's new, never heard that before. But this is Lucas so there's no point questioning it.

I don't think that's what we heard but I drop the subject, he clearly doesn't know what I'm talking about.

I didn't notice but while I was talking to Lucas Tyler had gone in his room and come back looking a little baffled.

"Lucas, have you seen my school bag anywhere? It's not in my room."

Lucas just shrugs and turns back to the TV. "Sorry, no clue."

"Alright. Steph mind helping me look?" He asks.

"Not at all" I reply sweetly. It was getting awkward in here anyway.

We searched the whole apartment but nothing, I even looked in their bathroom, trust me that took guts, it's just so disgusting, I don't know how they're okay with it in the state it's in. Words cannot even describe the horrors in that room, I'm shuddering at the mere thought of it.

The only place we haven't looked yet is Lucas's room.

I open the door and look around. To my delight and annoyance I find Tyler's bag on Lucas's bed. What the hell Lucas. I'm about to walk out the room and call Tyler when I see something move behind the door.

I drop the bag abruptly and turn toward it. I'm not prepared for what I see, none other than my best friend is in Lucas's room.

I can feel my eyes light up with excitement while hers look worried. This can only mean one thing.

Lucas is Krystal's mystery boyfriend!
