Amidst the shallow silence

Darkness crept and wrapped me with a cold embrace

City lights mirrored parallel stars

Opening long-forgotten distant scars

Refusing to look up above

Never wanting to witness the one whom I once loved

Yet stored feelings roared enabling her to gaze at him again

Distant star so clear and bright brought pain from within
