Wounded
Several officers were shooting at the terrorists infiltrating the facility, there were a dozen or so although there were only three they were fighting against.
But they weren't just anyone, they were Bullfrog, Laserhawk and Ramon.
The three were hidden behind some stone columns that were beginning to crumble little by little due to the gunshots, Laserhawk and Ramon were the ones who were counterattacking when they could, Luckily the police were stupid enough to have fired at the same time without stopping, so they all ran out of ammo at the same time and had to reload.
That gave them the opportunity to attack them, they all obviously died.
-I eliminated more
Ramón spoke a bit egotistically with his Tommy guns in his hands, he had already gotten used to killing and was not serious, perhaps to give some humor to the matter or perhaps because of his dual personality. Laserhawk rolls his eyes in some displeasure.
-Whatever you say, come on, we don't have to waste time, who knows when reinforcements will arrive
Ramón crosses his arms as he walks.
-What a party pooper
Dolph doesn't say anything just looking at him with annoyance, he also starts walking. Bullfrog continues giving them a tired sigh, at least those two weren't arguing like a while ago when the local alarm went off.
They had argued about who had turned it on, although the murderer, to make them stop fighting, said it was him and so no one said anything. It's definitely difficult to get both of them to work together, especially because of the level of distrust in each other.
On the one hand, Laserhawk was betrayed by his boyfriend, the person he trusted the most, and then it was Sarah Fisher, who made him believe that she was good but in the end it turned out that she was not.
And on the other was Ramón, an alien from dimension X that was treated badly in his youth for being different, that they used him to lie for years in front of cameras, was replaced by saying something, then he found out all the lies those who "saved him" told him...
The mistrust was too much to be honest, but it was understandable why... Although they were still behaving like little children who hate each other.
The ironic thing about those two distrustful people is that they only seemed to trust the little assassin. I mean, do they know that he can kill them with a knife and they wouldn't even notice? It was... Certainly funny that thought.
It was an Eden government building, they had entered to steal some plans to find out what Fisher was planning with Holloway's technological help, it was supposed to be a stealth mission but an alarm was activated due to carelessness. So it's now become a louder mission than expected, hopefully they don't have Eden's entire armed force there.
-If the alarm hadn't gone off we'd have more time to investigate where the hell those stupid plans are.
Ramón spoke with annoyance, although he remained silent due to the look of the other two.
-I think they would be in a mechanics area or something like that... No?
Bullfrog suggested, the other two nodded in agreement, the frog sighed with some relief seeing that they agreed.
-According to the building map, the technology department is on the fourth floor
Laserhawk speaks as he walks towards the stairs, Ramón raised an eyebrow.
-Wouldn't it be easier to use the elevator?
-Whatever you want, if they screw you it's not my problem, come on Bullfrog
-What!? Bullfrog, the elevator is better than the stairs, don't you think?
Oh no, another discussion... But now they have involved him, the frog looked at both of them doubtfully and thought for a moment, he had to take into account that the reinforcements would soon arrive, the stairs were of the spiral type and the elevator would certainly be faster, but if the alarm went off throughout the building there will surely be guards on the other floors, so the stairs would be problematic, however if the guards know that they will go up by the elevator, they would ambush them since it is a small space...
His head hurt thinking about all that, although he thought about his presence in both situations now... He already knows who to go with.
-I will accompany you Mr. Laserhawk
In reality it only took about five seconds to think about it.
-What!? But the elevator is fas-
Bullfrog covers his mouth with his hand, normally he is not someone who interrupts people but the constant complaining of those two was getting to him a little.
- C'est pour la tactique, Wñwe clear the path of the stairs to go down quickly, the guards will be distracted by us, meanwhile you can surprise them by arriving in the elevator, maybe if they ambush you, I doubt you'll have much trouble with the floating parts.
He spoke and then removed his hand from his mouth and smiled at him. Ramón understood.
-Good, but take care of yourself, okay? If I see you hurt, I will hurt you more for letting you hurt!
Bullfrog laughs lightly.
- Belle façon de dire que tu tiens à moi.
The assassin smiles with a raised eyebrow, clearly Ramón wouldn't understand what he said, but he didn't care and turned his back to go with Dolph.
- The same pour toi!
The blonde smiles slightly and closes the elevator, mentally preparing himself, he closed his eyes. He could hear gunshots and a few screams, he was still a little worried that the frog might get hurt but it was true that he couldn't keep him locked up forever. It was kind of cruel actually... Like try to keep him in a bubble... He felt guilty, he didn't think that would affect him enough to want to escape. He was an idiot now that he thought about it, he has had too much distrust after realizing the lies in his life and that made him a little paranoid.
Why did he care so much about Bullfrog? He met him a couple of weeks ago, but still knew almost nothing about him...
Maybe it was because he was the one who made him see the truth behind all the lies.
Or maybe it was because of that golden look? So innocent and pure that he didn't make him believe that he was actually a killer... A sweet smile despite the tragedy... Friendly words despite the differences.
Maybe it was because he felt like he was the only one who spoke the truth to him from the beginning...
He watched the elevator numbers go up one by one, as if they were really slow. Thus leaving time to think about everything.
Meanwhile Bullfrog and Laserhawk fought against the guards of the place, some hybrids, some humans. It was relatively easy, since they were wearing armor so it was easy to make them lose their balance and fall down the stairs without being able to get up like a turtle upside down.
They didn't wait for the police reinforcements to arrive just when they were on the fourth floor, although of course, none of those fools thought that the elevator would open and they would be gunned down by the alien. Everything was going great!
Everything was going great.
They entered the electronics place, it was certainly not what they expected, it was very last century, the plans were on sheets...
-What kind of idiot would put the plans for something important on paper? It could burn easily
Ramón spoke, reloading his weapons while Laserhawk took the plans to read them, Bullfrog climbed on the table to see too. Although he barely raised it in front of him, they were disintegrated by a gunshot, which surprised the three of them and when they turned around there was that damn manipulative Sarah Fisher.
-The kind that doesn't want to leave evidence.
She spoke in a mocking tone with a gun in her hand, before any of the three could attack she closed the metal door, they tried to open it or destroy it but it was useless.
It was like she already knew what they were going to do...
-Hopefully you will survive... I doubt you guys will kill innocent people...
Sarah spoke from behind the door and the sound of her boots clicking away was heard, Human and hybrid people emerged from the shadows with glasses on, similar to virtual reality ones, although they seemed wireless. They were acting like the people had acted against the hybrids in the other situation. But they were specifically against the three of them.
Laserhawk didn't care and fired, Ramón hesitated whether to do so or not and Bullfrog felt chills remembering that event. The frog tried to tell them that it was best to take away those virtual reality glasses, but the noise of the screams and gunshots covered his voice.
He was caught off guard when he received a blow to the head with a pipe from one of those individuals, causing him to fall to the ground. That disoriented him, hopefully he didn't faint but his world was still spinning, he knew he was bleeding from the wet and warm feeling behind his head. The noises seemed to be drowned out by a small beep as he tried to recover.
He seemed to hear his name but everything felt very far away... After a few seconds that seemed like forever he returned to normal a little, managing to get up.
-Are you ok?
Ramon asked with concern, offering support to the frog who staggered slightly.
-Oui, oui... je vais bien mon ami
Ramon nods slightly doubtfully, as he continued shooting, again thinking that risking Bullfrog was a bad idea.
Laserhawk noticed the presence of a window at the other end of the room and pointed it out.
-There's a window, come on!
They tried to move there but there were too many surrounding them, trying to protect Bullfrog, they also attacked Ramon with a pipe, apart from the fact that someone managed to cut his cheek with a piece of metal. Laserhawk upon noticing this tried to protect them both but was also injured. Bullfrog walked away from both of them after realizing that to confront those people.
-Bullfrog! What are you doing!?
The blonde screamed, trying to reach it with his hand, although someone grabbed it and cut it, causing him to scream in pain.
-You are underestimating me les deux even if you don't say it! Je vais vous montrer de quoi je suis capable...
Bullfrog jumps in the face of one to boost himself, knocking off his glasses in the process, and then grabs the glasses of two others, he broke the lenses with his blades and threw pieces of metal at others so that they were defective, took a pipe that was on the ground and he threw it horizontally, breaking three others that fell on a couple of people who still had their glasses and stabbed the glasses of a last one.
The people seemed confused after that, not remembering what had happened, Bullfrog looks at both of them who seem surprised by what they saw.
-Come on, we have to go... We have to heal the wounds of you two
He spoke with an annoyed look and not his usual smile, still somewhat annoyed by the fact that they had underestimated him.
Later...
They were in Ramon's house, it was basically their safe place now.
Dolph was watching the television without much interest and Bullfrog was bandaging the hand of the alien who was silently looking to the side, feeling stupid about many things. He had never seen the hybrid's potential and cared too much about it, but now he saw it.
Laserhawk knew of the frog's potential but didn't think he could against innocent people.
Both of their perspectives changed.
-Wow... They made a lot of cuts, Mes amis
Bullfrog spoke, hating the silence that had formed.
-I'm surprised that you received almost no damage
The frog smiles softly and lightly hits Ramón on his wound.
-Ouch! And why was that!?
He screamed in pain at that.
-I told you that it was the same for you Mon ami, if you got hurt I would hurt you for letting you get hurt
He smiles with a certain mockery towards him, the blonde seemed upset because it had hurt him but then he laughed lightly.
-True, but you didn't have to hit me in the wound you just bandaged!
-I knew it would hurt you more, Je l'ai fait à cause de ça
-By the way... Let go of my hand...
Bullfrog complied with a light smile, he had not realized that he was still holding the other's hand.
-Well I'll make the food 'cause you guys are hurt
He spoke getting up from the couch to walk to the kitchen.
-It's not like we've been disabled so you can do it.
The dark-haired man speaks, he felt like he was being treated like a little child.
- Très tard!
A while later the hybrid returned with bowls of ramen and gave them to him, then returned to get his own.
He stopped between the kitchen door, suddenly feeling dizzy, He shook his head a little and tried to walk normally to the couch, although with every step he took he was wobbling a little.
-Bullfrog... Are you okay?
Ramón asked when he saw him stagger, Dolph stopped paying attention to the television when he heard him.
-Uh... Oui... It's not... Nothing...
His head hurt, but he tried to give a smile, when he took another step he fell unconscious.
-Bullfrog!
They both screamed in fear, immediately going to help him, Bullfrog woke up after several horrible seconds, he felt disoriented.
-Q-que s'est-il passé?... I-I mean... What happened?
-You fainted suddenly, why?
Bullfrog held his head in pain, trying to get up, although he was shaking slightly.
-J-je... je... Aïe... Croire...
He shook his head slightly while sitting.
-I think... It was because of the hit with the pipe...
They had forgotten about that.
-You'll be fine as long as you rest
Laserhawk spoke picking up the frog.
-Q-quoi? But it wasn't that serious! Je vais bien...
He looked at Ramón, trying to convince him. The alien frowns slightly.
-I agree with him, Bullfrog... Also... Your nose is bleeding a little
He raised his hand pointing at him, then handed him a piece of paper with which the assassin wiped himself.
-Bien... C'est bien... At least you agree on something...
He laughs softly with a slight smile, they both sigh with a bit of annoyance and relief, how on earth could he be so positive with a concussion?
It might not be easy for Bullfrog to recover from that since he has to be physically resting and not having activities that require a lot of concentration and Bullfrog got bored quickly, in addition to being somewhat hyperactive.
Basically, doing nothing. What he hates the most.
He had some nausea because of that, luckily the fainting didn't happen more than once because Bullfrog was doing a lot of physical activity.
It was like this for a couple of weeks, although the next three days continued like this just in case.
Luckily it was a mild concussion. XD
The concussion was not planned until I wrote the shock part, I researched it because I wanted to write well the symptoms that can happen.
So if you thought "But fainting takes more than an hour" then no. Well yes, but not in a mild concussion, in the
For mild concussions, fainting usually lasts less than 2 minutes.
Well, see you next time!
