New Begining
"What are you Saying?" I snap angrily at Sandy.
"Sodapop, I-I'm pregnant," she says quietly.
"How? We never did anything," I remind her.
"I cheated on you," she sighs. Oh my god! How could I be so stupid? Lucy warned me and I didn't believe her, but I do love Sandy. That doesn't change.
"I don't care," I shake my head. "I love you anyways and I'll still marry you."
"I'm moving tonight," she says in a sweet voice even though she's ripping my heart out. "I'm going to Florida and don't forget my parents hate you. I have to leave Sodapop I'm sorry."
"What about us Sandy?" I ask sadly. "I love you."
She pecks my lips leaving a red lip stain on it that I wipe away immediately, "I don't love you Sodapop and there is no us."
"So that's it?" I ask. "We're over just like that?"
"I'm sorry," she apologizes. "Goodbye Sodapop."
I look away, "You don't care! You never did you! Why are you apologizing when you don't even care? You never will!"
"So-" She starts.
"Just go!" I yell angrily at this point looking into her icy blue eyes that don't even look like they care, not the least bit.
Lucy's P.O.V.
"Just go!" I hear Soda yell.
I look over at Steve, "what happened?"
"Him and Sandy are fighting," he says. "I think they just broke up."
"Did he find out?" I ask as Sandy storms out of the back room.
She walks over to me, "find out what?"
"That you're a two faced little bitch!" I yell in her face.
"And you're not," she says in a snobby tone.
"No, I'm not," I reply.
"Yea, and I'm not pregnant," she rolls her eyes.
"You little slut!" I yell. "You hurt Sodapop and nobody hurts my best friend. You're a real bitch and I hope you know that. You deserve to be knocked up and leaving Tulsa. You're a stupid little stuck up slutty bitch!"
"Excuse me, but take a look at yourself. You prance around Tulsa like you're a little angel, but you're not. You're like a wrecking ball. Have you seen how much damage you've done? I think you should be the one leaving. Watch what you're gonna do to the gang if you stick around. You say I cause damage just turn around and look at all the damage you've done. You're the last person who should be saying anything you little bitch," she yells through gritted teeth.
I slap her right across the face, "just go to Florida bitch!" She marches out of the DX and I run into the back room to see Sodapop sitting down with his face in his hands as he sobs. I sit next to him, "hey Pepsi."
He looks up wiping his tears away, "hey doll."
I smile at that name, but it's a weak smile because, I know he's hurting and I can't be happy if he's not; it's only been the way if one of us is sad, we're both sad, "are you okay?"
"Now," he smiles as he wraps his arm around my shoulder. "Did you ever notice how it always end with us?"
I look at him in the eyes and once again that magnet is back. We're moving in until our lips touch. My eyes close as our lip move in sync. I swear their are bombs going off, fireworks, sparklers, explosion.Have you ever one on those moments where it feels like time freezes? Everything in the the world freezes minus what is happening because, it's just so important. It's the moment that changes everything. That was this moment.
Soda's P.O.V.
We pull apart from the kiss and I look into Lucy's eyes. That kiss was perfect. There were sparks flying, bombs going off as fireworks exploding in the background. "Wow," is all I can say.
"Wow," she smiles. "Sodapop?"
"Yea," I ask still staring into her glowing eyes that are still full of life.
"Did you feel that too?" She asks.
I pull her in for a hug, "I felt it too. We're meant to be together."
She laughs that laugh I love. I've always loved it, but this time it's different. I now know that the feeling we had in third grade never went away we just forgot about it. She hugs me tightly, "my best friend and I. Oh my god!"
"What?" I ask her in confusion.
She smirks, "it's like some cliche love story where the best friends fall in love and have a happily ever after. I never thought I'd never get my cliche romance."
I chuckle. "wanna go to a drag race with me, sort of like a first date?"
"You bet!" She yells happily. "I love drag races."
I smile as I pick her up and carry her into the DX as she whines and laughs. Steve looks up at us, "I see Lucy fixed your heart."
"Yup," Lucy laughs.
"She's my uh-," I start not knowing what to call her. Are we official? Are we just going on a date? What are we?
"We're going a date," she smiles. "He's taking me to a drag race."
"How romantic?" Steve jokes making us all laugh. "You better treat her right Sodapop."
"C'mon Stevie," Lucy whines. "He'll treat me just fine."
"He better," Steve warns as Johnny, Dally, and Ponyboy walk in.
"Better what?" Dally asks.
"Soda and I are going on a date soon," Lucy smirks.
"Oh," Dally smirks. "What happened to Sandy?"
"They broke up," Lucy shrugs.
"Wait, I'm lost," Pony says. "Better what?"
"Soda better treat Lucy right," Steve informs him.
"He will!" Lucy exclaims.
"Promise," I smile
"Well we just came to stop in, we're heading to the nightly double," Dally informs us. "Wanna come Lucy?"
Lucy shrug, "why not? Bye Pepsi. Later Stevie-o."
"Bye Lucy," Steve and I say in sync.
Lucy's P.O.V.
"So you and Sodapop?" Pony asks looking up at me.
"Yup me and good ol' Pepsi-cola," I smile at the thought of us.
"How?" Johnny asks.
"A lot of factors played into is and we just knew that we had to date," I inform them.
"C'mon guys, we all knew they'd end up together," Dally smirks winking at me.
"You're such a creep Dall," I roll my eyes.
"Your creep cutie?" He smirks.
"Not a chance," I reply.
"Whatever," he chuckles. "You're Soda's now anyway."
"Yea, whatever," I stick my tongue out at him making us both laugh
Is this the start of Lucypop? will this go down hill or end up great? What happens on their date? Is this going to ruin their friendship? Was this a smart idea? Will it just break them and leave them heartbroken? What happens on the Lucypop romance adventure? Will it divide the gang?Stay gold. Do it for Johnny!
