Soda's P.O.V.

I walk into my house to see the whole gang laughing and as soon as I walk in and Lucy comes running over to me hugging me, "hey Pepsi."

"We heard ya told Lucy you loved her today," Two-bit smiles. "How cute are you two?"

"Just adorable," Steve mumbles sarcastically, but I send him a threatening death glare. We made up, but he still doesn't think Lucy and I should date so he's trying to ruin it for us.

"What's wrong Steve?" Dally asks. "Jealous you don't got a girl like Lucy? Trust me man, we are all."

"Wow, even Dallas Winston is jealous of us," Lucy smiles at me as she sits down next to Ponyboy.

"How'd you do it?" Pony asks.

"Yea, Sodapop, tell them how," Steve says as a pleased smirk plays on his face. He sits down waiting for me to say the story.

"We got into a fight over some stupid ex and I told her the truth, that I loved her," I smile leaving out a few details.

Steve's pleased smirk soon fades, "what the hell Sodapop? You're not even telling them the whole truth? Why was Lucy mad? Which ex was it? Please Sodapop explain fucking more or are you too much a bitch to?"

"What's he talking about little buddy?" Darry asks confused.

"I was flirting with my perfect ex-girlfriend Claire!" I yell angrily. "Happy now Steve?"

"No!" He huffs. "Tell them all what you told me last week." 

Flashback

"Okay, so if you could go back in time and date one of your ex-girlfriends, who would it be?" Steve asks as he sits down at the counter on a slow day after Lucy leaves.

"Claire," I smile. "She's so perfect. I mean we broke up over three year ago and I never really got over her, but I DO love Lucy with all my heart."

"Whoa, don't let Lucy hear that," he chuckles. "Claire is the ONLY girl that has ever made Lucy super insecure."

"I know," I sigh. "I don't see why though. I mean sure Claire is absolutely stunning, but she's nothing compared to Lucy, she's perfect."

"I know," he reminds me.

"Who would you date?" I ask.

"Evie," he sighs. "I loved her man and I regret ever cheating on her. I don't know what I was thinking man."

"I know that was a hard break-up on you," I sit next to him. "I'm sorry it ended so badly."

"Just promise me something," Steve looks at me, I nod in agreement. "Promise me you won't ever cheat on Lucy because, after you do there's no going back to anything, not even acquaintances Sodapop. Not even a single hello."

"I would never do that to her, I love her Steve," I bite my lip. I just wish I could tell her that.

"I love Evie and in the moment when I was with my ex Addison, I still cheated on her," he sighs. "I just don't want you to make the same mistakes as I did. So please promise me you won't."

"I promise," I chuckle.

Flashback Over

"Okay, I told Steve that I was still attracted to Claire!" I admit ashamed of it. "Although I also told him th-"

I was cut off by Lucy who was struggling to keep herself together, but she was "oh my god Sodpaop! Do you even love me or was that just a lie?"

Lucy's P.O.V.

"No! Tell them all what you told me last week," Steve commands Sodapop as he huffs angrily at the whole situation. He's the only other person who knows everything.

Soda takes a long time before finally speaking, "okay, I told Steve that I was still attracted to Claire! Although I also told him th-"

I don't even care what he has to say at this point. I'm holding myself together from a small thread, but I'm still holding on, "oh my god Sodapop! Do you even love me or was that just a lie?" 

"No!" He yells. Oh so he doesn't love me.

"Whatever Sodapop," I roll my eyes. "Fuck you!"

"I mean yes I love you," he corrects.

"Then why the hell did you fucking say no Sodapop?" I yell at him angrily trying to cover up the pain and insecurity I now have. The only reason they broke up is because, she went off to model. She's back now and everything is flipped upside down.

"I meant no as in no I don't love her and compared to you she's nothing," he says as tears well up in his blue eyes.

"Bull shit!" I yell. "If she's nothing then why the fuck were you flirting with that two faced slut?"

"Oooh she's pissed," I hear Dally whisper to Johnny.

"Shut up Dallas!" I snap.

"Please, just forgive me. Remember I love you?" He pleads.

"I love you too, Sodapop, but I am still pissed off and you have a lot of explaining so start right this  second or else I swear we'll be over before you can ask for another chance!" I yell loud enough that I think Randy even heard it. 

"I'm sorry," he whispers.

"Is all you have to say for yourself?" I ask him smoke practically coming out of my ears.

"No," he shakes his head as he walks over to me cupping my face so I'll look at him. "I know right now, you won't believe a single word I say and I know I deserve it. I broke you're trust and I wish I didn't. I always say I regret nothing in my life because, it made me who I am today, but now I regret one thing in my life. I regret flirting with Claire because, not only did I hurt you, but now I might also lose you. I love you Lucy with all my heart, like married couples, I don't care what anybody has to say about us because, our love was made in the USA just like Demi Lovato sang at her concert when we danced before meeting her." He kiss me softly with a ton of passion, need, want, love, regret, and desire in the kiss as fireworks explode.

I turn to him smiling as I bite my lip, "okay, I guess you're forgiven, but you better NEVER flirt with another girl again especially not Claire."

"I won't, I promise," he smiles.

"Okay," I reply.

He picks me up spinning me around making my heart flutter and butterflies erupt in my stomach, "I love you baby girl, like married couples."

"I love you too Pepsi, like married couples," I giggle.

Soda's P.O.V.

"I love you too Pepsi, like married couples," Lucy giggles as I continue to spin her as I hug her tightly, knowing the whole gang told me to hold on tight and I forgot. She almost slipped out of my grasp. I could of lost her forever. I love her and I could of lost her. I don't think I could live without Lucy. She's my future and without her, I'd have nothing.

Does Sodapop love Claire or Lucy? Lucy's not his type, but Claire is; who will he choose? Is this gonna ruin everything? Will Soda break the promise? Will Sodapop always be able to talk his way out of things? Is he loosing feelings for her? Is he gonna cheat on Lucy? Stay gold. Do it for Johnny!
