"I only brought you back for the sake of the children between us." Alhaji Omar bitterly spoke to Hajiya Sadiya. Life had been hectic for her since he divorced her. She had always been dependent on her husband for all her life. So, without him, life turned sour.

"Thank you." She managed to say. Alhaji Omar looked at the way she changed in a little time. She had lost some weight and was looking dark.

He shifted slowly and cleared his voice. "There are some rules though. And I hope you will adhere to them. If you do, we will live as peaceful as never before." She nodded.

"From today, I've banned you from taking my foodstuffs out. No more unnecessary gatherings in my house. I shall provide you with all the necessities of life but please no more pressurizing me to give you money to attend wedding or so. If I have, I will give you without any chaos." He breathed and contemplated on saying the last rule.

"I will adhere to all you've said. Please do forgive me for my previous sins. I regret it by Allah."

"Don't mention. For now, you're going to see some changes because I have to pay some debts and missing money from my salary each month." He removed his cap.

"I.."

"No. No problem. Just focus on how to put your home back on track." Hajiya Sadiya broke down. She had never seen someone so squishy like her husband. His temper was just too good. He was the perfect man for her.

"Why are you crying now? Come on, stop this." His voice was soft and merciful.

"I have been the worst person one would have as a wife, always full of trouble even though you committed nothing. I was always accusing you for one thing or the other. Why do I deserve you?" She sobbed harder. Alhaji Omar was used to seeing her sob like this whenever he sat her down and talked to her but today, he could sense regret and bitterness in her sob.

Nevertheless, he was doubtful. He wasn't sure if this was true or not.

"Because you're a queen in this kingdom. This..." He directed at the house and then himself. She noticed the way he grew grey hairs and looked older than his age. It was all her fault, she knew it.

"All belong to you." Hajiya Sadiya smiled in her tears. She was about to change her sitting position to where he was sitting when she heard Jannah screaming from the inside.

They exchanged looks before they all rose to their feet, running towards where they heard the sound coming from.

Jannah met them by the corridor. She was jumping, drenched in sweat. Her face was already a valley of terror. The parent became terrified.

"Its...its.." She failed to form coherent words.

"Talk, what's happening?" Alhaji Omar put his hands on her shoulder trying to calm her down. She seemed so disturbed and nothing came to their mind.

"It's Ya Nazeer, he's dying!" She managed to form the words. Hajiya Sadiya felt like as if several barrels of iced-water had been poured on her. She could barely move her legs to Nazeer's room.

"I seriously can't wait to be home. It sucks to be here. Mosquitoes, lack of electricity, bad network and whatnot." Mimi blabbed. Sadiqu just watched her until her eyes caught his.

"Lower your gaze mister!" She fired. Sadiqu felt a bit ashamed.

"Sorry tigress. Glide down please. You don't look nice when you're shouting." He pointed out looking sideways, adhering to her words.  The camp brought them closer each passing day. Sometimes Sadiqu feel like he can't live a day without seeing her. What was wrong with him?

"Okay how about this way?" She grinned like a little child who's gotten a free lollipop.

"Let me answer Leek's call." He informed her as if asking for her permission. Mimi smiled and nodded while he press the green button of his BlackBerry. Mimi plugged her earpiece and began to listen to Michael Jackson's they don't care about us. She was a diehard fan of Michael Jackson's songs. The king of pop.

"Have you finished? Hope you sent my regards to her." She unplug the earpiece.

Sadiqu ignored her. Which type of woman was she? Wasn't she jealous of him? Why can't she be jealous? Oh lord, that attitude was killing him. He wanted to see his pure love in Mimi's eyes—the one he used to see before. But now, he could hardly see through her emotions. He felt like she was deliberately doing it.

"Which type of a woman are you miss Mimi?" He asked, unconsciously. He couldn't contain it any longer. He loved her, why can't she understand?

A subconscious mind sneered. 'What about Leek?'

Mimi gave him a slackened look.

"Why are you enraged? Did she say something hurtful?" She asked concerned.

"It's none of your damn business!" Mimi shrieked at the way he sounded. He had scared her to the cube root of infinity. How could someone be so friable and be fierce at the same time? What happened to him was what she didn't know. And, she desperately wanted to know.

"Can you please calm down and tell me what happened?" Sadiqu sharply looked at her. Her voice was soft, as though she was singing a lullaby. Ya Rahmaan. He's turning crazy.

"Don't you feel the same?" He asked, loosing his patience.

"Wh...what are you talking about?" She walked out to the verandah and he followed her. Whatever he was going to do to her, let it happen outside where people can rescue her. In case. He had begin to scare her.

"Stop pretending as if you don't know what I am saying." His voice was getting calmer. Mimi sighed in relief.

"I think you don't want to talk. How can you be picking up lines and expect me to understand. You just finished answering call and started shouting at me. What is wrong with you?" She was being considerate. Mimi, herself, was surprised. She was surprised of how she was changing bit by bit.

"I am sorry." He ran his fingers across his face.

"Better. You may need a cold water." She passed him the bottle on her hand.

"Remember you told me the prophet(SAW) said to a man who came to ask him for an advice. He said 'Do not get angry'. I can remember it almost took us an hour discussing on this but look at how you acted. Shame on you my teacher." Her voice, had a tinge of tease in it.

Sadiqu smiled and said he was sorry again.

"Isn't it pellucid?" He asked, scratching his nape.

"What is obvious?" She raised her eyebrow.

"That I am in love with you?" He knew not of where the courage came from. He was in stance after saying it until when Mimi's laughter filled up the space.

"I know you do love me. A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim. And for brotherhood to take place there must be love. Doesn't this sum up things?" Sadiqu literally palmed his face. Why was she playing hard to get.

He smiled nonetheless. "That's true." And so, the topic was shrugged off.

Jameel felt his joints ached. He winced at the pain and tried to sit alright. He was finding it hard to even open his eyes. They seemed so heavy to him at that moment.

He flickered them open and noticed his hands all chained. Suddenly, he felt something pricked him and then he realised it was a sharp thorn of a grass. His eyes began to cast around.

A thick forest? What brought him there? He looked at his right side but couldn't see anyone. There was no sign of life in the forest. Worst was, he couldn't even remember anything about himself.

He cracked his brain so hard but he can't remember anything. One thing he knew was, the place seemed alien to him.

He decided to try talking. Jameel wasn't sure if he could talk. He also wondered why his body was aching or why he's chained like a lion. Or why he was sitting in the thick forest.

"Hello?" His voice was gruffy and husky.

"Is there anyone here?" He shouted atop his voice. Suddenly, he heard some gentle steps approaching him. He smiled happily. At least someone was coming to his rescue.

Two huge men dressed in an army uniform stood in his front. Their sight alone scared him. He felt his intestine twisting. Although they were the first people he set his eyes on, since he woke up, he couldn't help but felt afraid.

Jameel watched them talked in sign language. They only looked at him and continued talking. Soon enough, he heard some loud gunshots but he couldn't comprehend anything. That was the first sound he was hearing in this new phase of his life.

A tall dark armed masked man gently walked towards him. The other men, went on their stomach, lying down flat. The man stepped upon them and reached to where Jameel was sitting.

A big metal chair was brought by a lady whom won't pass the age of twenty. She was fully dressed unlike him. She bowed and left.

The man whom Jameel assumed to be the master, sat on the chair. It took him twenty minutes staring at Jameel before he clapped his hands and laughed.

"Welcome, As-sheikh Jameel." Jameel looked around. Was the man referring to him? He doesn't understand anything.

"My name is As-sheikh Kabeer Mujahidi, the leader of that organisation. I mean everything is under my control. The Qur'anic college. Can you remember?" Like a rush of adrenaline, Jameel began to have some images flashing in his head. He remembered everything and passed out.

A cup was brought forth to the leader. He took it and spit into it in manner of prayer before he began to sprinkle it on Jameel.

Jameel woke up shaking. "Innalillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. Please take me back. I don't want the school anymore." He cried.

"Don't worry. Are you afraid of this?" He showed him his gun.

"Then." He dropped it.

"I mean no harm Jameel. I'm not going to detain you here. You will go back home just tomorrow. You're just here for an islamic tour. Just to know more about islam."

"Allahu Akbar!" The men chorused. Jameel recognised them now. They were his lecturers.

"So once again, Jameel, welcome to Almujahidun 'Islamic Jihad group'" He extended his hands to Jameel.

The thick forest echoed with Allahu Akbar.

Jameel shook it with a smile.
