Bareerah has lost it all. She was tired from going to and fro to the hospital without any good yielding result. Perhaps, she should just stay back and see what fate could do to the health of her last child.
It was either death or life. Whatever was it, no one could escape what had been ordained for them. Despite all negative thoughts which occupied her mind, she never gave up. Allah doesn't burden a soul more than it could bear; she was certain, He would provide for her in ways she had never imagined. After all, if there's life, surely there would be hope.

They were about seven of them in an uncompleted building. Life had pondered on them so hard, they were clueless on how to start an optimistic war with life. Hence, whenever they feel like ending their lives they run to the uncompleted building.
Some of them were there by choice, some by force and some, difficulties of life drew them there not because they love being there. It was a place of no pity of one another or empathy. Everyone does what brought them there and mind their various businesses.
Jameel was shuddering due to cold, he was suffering from intense hunger and fear upon seeing the guys' merciless eyes. He wondered why he agreed to follow Mudassir, oh well, he wanted to get money for at least feeding.
Qarfe, the leader of the gangsters, looked at Jameel and smiled. Without uttering a word, he gave Jameel food and water.
Jameel didn't know he has put himself in a danger.

The green garden park was Mimi's favorite place. Nothing soothes and calms her mind other than the green plant's view. It was beautifully adorned to the extent that no one could sight it and won't fall in love with nature.
She was back from London where she visited her uncle who lived there. She had enjoyed London and would love to go back there. Mimi had missed her friends, the chills, and... Well forget it. That's all.
She was sipping her juice when Maleekah's car pulled off. She dropped the bottle and rushed to hug Leek. She had missed her friend terribly.
"Leek, what have you been taking? Look at how you're glowing," Mimi complimented. They laughed.
"Duh," Maleekah slapped her forehead.
"You're just joking as usual. How was London?" She asked as they settled by the swimming pool and dipped their legs in it. Maleekah was Mimi's opposite. She doesn't like all those social life things.
"I enjoyed it I'm telling you. I met that paup... I mean that guy with the farm." She didn't know why or how, but she felt like she can't call him pauper again. She wouldn't dare insult him again anyway. He had earn some respect from her somehow.
"Oh, tell me you met the stupid guy. What took him to London?" Maleekah asked interestingly. Although it wasn't her habit to call someone stupid or any bad name. Foul language wasn't hers but she had to impress her friend.
Mimi closed her eyes briefly.
"He's not stupid Leek. Don't say it again please I don't like it a bit. He's studying there." Leek's mouth flung open.
"Woah! Tell me more." Leek slipped her phone into her bag and waited to hear Mimi speak.
"You and gossip? Lord I can't deal with you Leek. Check this for me." Mimi brought out the paper that Sadiqu gave her. She didn't know Arabic and the only person she could trust to read it for her was Leek.
"I'm getting cold. Let's go and enjoy the shade of that tree. This water is getting cold." Leek removed her legs and put on her Kimono back. She ordered for coffee and cookies before they settled under the tree.
"Where did you get this from?" Leek was perplexed.
"Someone gave me but I couldn't read a word. So I kept it so that you can read it for me." Mimi shrugged while deep down, she had been looking forward to meeting Leek because of this. The curiosity kept eating her so much that she couldn't resist.
"Forget about this. I had been calling you while you're away but didn't get you. Anyway I wanted to tell you that registration was going on because I know you're going to study here in Nigeria. Or have you changed your mind?" Leek took a glance at the paper. She would use all ways to divert Mimi's attention from knowing the content of the paper because it was something that would definitely hurt Mimi. And she won't love that.
"I will try and persuade father. I want to study in London." She bit her lower lip. When Leek opened her mouth to talk, Mimi placed her finger on her lips.
"Don't ask me why Leek. I beg you." She joined her hands in a pleading manner. Leek shrugged and turned the other side of the paper.
"I can't read this type of Arabic but I understood the last line."
"Tell me."
"It just says by 'Isma'il Sadiqu' then a signature." Leek folded the paper and placed it on Mimi's palm.
"That's his name." Mimi smiled.
"Oh yeah. I'm taking my leave." She rose to her feet and disposed the coffee cup.
"Leek, you're lying. Sit back and tell me what's in the paper. I won't get mad I promise." She dragged Mimi's hand and made her sat down. Leek knew that she couldn't argue about that. She's a terrible liar.
"They're just Qur'an verses and some explanations. If your teacher comes ask him."
"Leek please. I do trust you, just read them out for me." Leek looked at Mimi to make sure she was the one before she started.

"Look Fatima. Feel free okay? I don't bite." Fatimah nodded at Dr Muhseen.
"Good. Tell me why are you always crying?" Muhseen hated seeing people in dilemma. His mother had tried all ways to make Fatimah to open up but all efforts were not strong enough.
"I'm thinking of home. Inna must be suffering alone," Fatimah wiped the slim tear that ran across her face.
"Okay, go on." The weight on his chest began to become less heavy. He had seen people like her. People more introverted than her and at the end they speak up although you cannot force them. You have to take gentle steps before they trust you enough to tell you their mind.
"And I miss Maimuna, big bro, Wali, and Jameel. I don't know the condition they're living now. May Baba's soul rest in peace. If only he's here I will never be here. I would have been in school with my siblings." She finished while sniffing trying to hold the force of her whimper on her lips.
"Cry out Fatimah. Crying is a blessing." Muhseen turned his head to the other way. He doesn't like seeing people cry but crying was a relief. When her cries subsided, he rose to his feet and knelt beside her.
She shifted away and he smiled. He has expected that from her. Like, every sensible girl would definitely do that.
"Do you want to go home?" Fatimah shook her head sideways repeatedly.
"If I go home, what will Inna use to feed herself? And my brother?" Muhseen sighed. He understood her; her family responsibility was upon her shoulder.
"Are you the first child?" She shook her head and told him she's the third. After Sadiqu, was Jameel then her.
"Okay I get you. Do you want to see Inna for atleast a day? I know your answer is yes. So, get ready we will be going there tomorrow early in the morning." He stopped to answer a call. Fatimah waited for him to finish before she talked.
"But I don't know the way." He raised an eyebrow.
"No deal as long as you know the name of your hometown. See you tommorow." Before she thanked him, he exited the kitchen.
