A voice
"Hm..." Kuga was on the floor, sprawled out like a kid trying to make a snowman. "Hhhmmm...." He rolled around the floor, worrying his men as they wondered what was wrong with Kuga. "HHHMMM!!!"
"Woah, did you suddenly turn into a rug, Kuga?" Rindo asked, sitting beside Kuga. Rindo and Kuga's eyes met, Rindo smirking as always. "Yo! Senpai came to visit!"
"AAHHH!!!" Kuga screamed, scurrying off away from the second seat. "AAAAAAAAHHH!!!!"
"AH! SHUT UP!" Rindo screamed louder, calming down the screaming Kuga. "Seriously, what's gotten you like that? Nervous? You're still two seasons away. I'm sure you have a lot of time to prepare." Rindo said, standing up and dusting her skirt.
"I'm not nervous!" Kuga argued. "I'm just- I don't know!?! I was just cooking a few minutes ago when I went to the floor!" He tried to explain, gripping his hair in frustration. "GAH! How hard is it to recruit one person!"
Rindo's eyes widened at his words. Not because he was recruiting someone, no, she knows that he's been recruiting people to join him but he's failing a lot, take Hojo for example. But he's never got to this point. Like, frustrated point.
"Hmm... Maybe senpai can help you!" Rindo said, sitting down on the chair. "Tell me, who are you trying to recruit?"
"(L/N)(Y/N)." There was a moment of silence, broken by Rindo's loud laughter. "What!? I thought you were going to help?" Kuga exclaimed, already at the end of his patience. "SENPAI!"
"AHAH- Sorry! I didn't mean to laugh!" She said, calming her laughter. "I really didn't mean to! But..." She paused, her tone turning serious. "Why (L/N)(Y/N) of all people? She's almost impossible to get into your team. You know she was originally supposed to be part of the elite ten, right? But she declined the offer. What a waste!" She said, almost regretful not having you in the elite ten. "And she's basically impossible to hold a conversation with! Her voice is one of the mysteries of Totsuki! I'm not even exaggerating!"
"What do you mean?" Kuga asked, sitting at the table.
"Exactly what I mean." Rindo answered. "It's impossible to get her to your side. She has her own empire. She doesn't want Totsuki. This is like her starting point. Only those she-"
"No no." Kuga cut her off, waving his hand. "I mean about her voice. A mystery?"
Rindo bit her tongue, keeping herself from speaking any further. "I'm sorry, Kuga." She stood up from her seat and stretched. "But, I'm not someone that should be telling you that. All you should know is that you shouldn't dig into things that don't concern you. Bye bye!"
'But I've heard her voice...' He thought, leaving over the table. 'Just a few days ago and... in first year.'

"Who do you think it is this time?" Hano asked as she watched you work with the candy. Besides her was Mitsue, also keeping an eye on you. "If she's back in this state, then..."
Mitsue nodded with her, knowing exactly what she was going to say. "But I don't know who."
"How about the eighth seat?" Hano asked, referring to the other day they had to serve him. "Didn't he say that he was friends with (L/N)-san? Could it-"
"Fat chance." Atsue scoffed. "When (L/N)-san came to the room, she basically treated him as another business partner more than a friend." He explained, remembering the events of the other day. "Anyways, this is bad... this is going to affect her cooking."
"Let's just hope that whoever it is will show up."

'... doesn't like it... don't smile... don't talk... doesn't like...' Those words repeated in your head like a broken record. The same voice, the same lines over and over again for the past few days.
You looked over to your nightstand, 12:25. It's way past your usual bedtime. All of your senses were askew, your body not used to staying up too much. Your gaze returned to the ceiling. It was a plain old boring ceiling with nothing.
You sat up from your bed, taking your phone and walking over to the balcony. You sat outside, admiring the nightlife of Tokyo from so high up. They were like little candy. All of them are different but still so alike.
You were about to put on some music when someone suddenly called you.
{Incoming Call, Midget}
Who was midget? You couldn't remember anyone that could be named midget.
"You called me a midget, didn't you?"
'Wasn't that... him... from the other day in room 4. The eighth seat?' You thought, hearing his voice suddenly in your head. You answered.
"AGH!!! How come you take so long to pick up my call, (Y/N)-chin!? How dare you let me, Kuga Terunori wait!? Just you wait! I won't pick up if you call me!" The loud voice startled you, scaring off your thoughts of sleeping anytime soon. "Hey! At least say something! What's up with you the other day! You completely treated me like a stranger!"
"..." You opened your mouth to say something but immediately closed it back. Somehow, you felt excitement hearing his voice, almost tempting you to speak.
"Heeeeyyyy!! (Y/N)-chin!!! Don't tell me you're sleeping!?" He complained, still screaming. "I'm gonna keep talking! I'll wake you up and scream!! So you better reply!"
"...K...Kuga..." You whispered, feeling a rush of happiness wash over you. "Kuga!" You chuckled, feeling as if something that was holding you back loosened. "Kuga!"
"...Yes, yes... It's Kuga..." He replied from the other line, his tone calmer than before. "What are you doing up at this time, (Y/N)-chin?"
"...uh..." After not speaking for so long, your own mouth couldn't speak properly. "...c-couldn't... sleep." You said, playing with the hem of your pajama shorts, suddenly feeling shy of your inability to not speak properly. "Sorry..."
"Why are you sorry? It's not like you're keeping me up, y'know?" You could hear him chuckled from the other side, also a few things clanking. "Sorry about the noise, I'm preparing my 'Especial Kuga Terunori Sauce!'. You should totally try my cooking!! You'll see it won't suck just like with my first attempt at a cheesecake!"
"...What's your c-cooking style, Kuga?" You asked, looking over the stars.
"Chinese Cuisine!" He declared proudly. "My cooking is the best you know! Come to the Chinese Cuisine RS next time! I'll be my treat since you guys did give me that... professional welcome! Really, that was amazing!"
"R-really?" You asked, your whole face lighting up that it even startled you when you felt your cheeks smile. 'Do I really not use the muscles in my face that much...'
"Yeah! Tomorrow, wanna come to my RS? I'll serve you personally! I Kuga Terunori shall satisfy your taste buds! How does that sound, (Y/N)-chin?" He chuckled, sounds of something dropping from his end very clear. "Being served by the eighth seat, what an honor you will get."
"... I'll be my honor then, Kuga." You said, standing and closing the window behind you as you laid in your bed. "...G-good night..."
"Yeah. Goodnight."

Yvon waved goodbye to you as you left for school. He had a smile on, feeling happy. He took his phone, immediately contacting his father.
"Dad... I have good news!" He said with a laugh. "(Y/N) smiled! She was talking last night too!!"
"R-really!?" Your grandfather stuttered, near dropping the papers in his hands. "W-who was she talking to!?"
"W-well..." Yvon coughed awkwardly, sipping his coffee for an awfully long time. "I don't think I should be the one telling you that..."
"What do you mean?" Masafumi asked, raising his brows that his eyes were visible. "It's better that we know who she or he is. That way we'll be sure that-"
"Dad! Just let her be!" Yvon said, raising his voice slightly. "She's finally showing her true self... let her be... if it does happen, then you can act. Just look after her in Totsuki."
"Got it.."
